The hotel was very underwhelming right when we walked in. The lobby is tiny and basic, which would be fine if they didn’t advertise this as a 5 star hotel. The first thing we noticed was the small size of the room when we entered it. We expected the rooms to be smaller in Paris but we were placed in the largest ‘family sized’ room but couldn’t even comfortably store 4 suitcases. Also, the room was significantly dated and not anywhere close to what you would expect for a 5 start hotel room. Plate for the door locking mechanism looks like it was glued on, there are gauges/chips/scratches throughout the cabinetry/trim, the carpet is old and dated, rips and snags in the curtains and blinds, water leaking out of the shower, and inability to maintain a comfortable temperature (either have heat or AC blasting). I went back to the front desk to ask them if we were placed in a more dated wing of the hotel and if there were better rooms somewhere else (we’ve definitely experienced this in other hotels), but they assured me that this was the best available room (outside of maybe something with a better view but I didn’t have an issue with the view) and that this had been refurbished within the last 3 months (not possible). I’ve been in 3 star hotels like holiday inns that were much nicer than this. It would have been fine if they had not advertised and charged as if this was a 5 star hotel. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else if you are looking for 4 or 5 star accommodations, and if you are ok with 3 star hotels then save yourself the money and stay at a hotel that is priced in the 3 star range

It’s honestly comical that this hotel is called 5-star. This is no Ritz or St. Regis—not even close. We arrived around 5:00 pm (check-in is 3:00 pm) after a long travel day with a child and were told our room still wasn’t ready. That’s not okay. No bellman, no help with luggage. The only time anyone apologized was after I said it was unacceptable and asked to speak to a manager. Housekeeping was a mess. I had to request cleaning twice. We were out for six hours and the room still wasn’t cleaned. When it finally was, they took the dirty towels and didn’t even replace them. A real 5-star experience is about warmth and hospitality—you should feel taken care of. We didn’t. The room itself was fine for Paris, but the service was consistently poor. Definitely not a 5-star experience.

Just finished a 5 night stay at the hotel with a family of four in a connecting family room. The hotel was great and staff was courteous and helpful. Location is convenient as well. Unfortunately, at our last day, after a night out, we found a shopping bag missing from one of the rooms. We immediately reported to the staff but they refused to show us the security videos which they obviously in each corner and each floor. In the end, two days after we flew back to the US, the hotel simply emailed, apologized and said “there was no procedural lapses.” That spoiled our whole holiday and turned a very pleasant trip / stay to a not so happy one. Based on this experience, we will go ahead and file a police report to make sure there is a record of potential issues with this property. For future visitors, please make sure you lock your valuable belongings in your suitcases when you are out of the room.

From the moment we arrived the staff was friendly and courteous. The location is perfect, and walkable to many major sites in Paris. The local neighborhood has excellent restaurants and shopping as well. The hotel is beautifully decorated and our room was lovely, with a view of the Eiffel Tower. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh breads, fruits and yogurts; a hot buffet and omelet station. We will be back!
