An outstanding luxury resort. However, 2 things to be aware of: 1) Limited food options. The small take-away food shop closed early at 2 pm. It had a large selection of fancy chocolates -- but no basics like protein bars for hiking, and only 2 (prepackaged) sandwich options (egg, tuna) for lunch. They ran out of breakfast sandwiches by 9 am. The Bourbon & Burgers place offers a special $1800 burger but the same vegetarian options that were offered at lunch. There is nothing else nearby, and Park City is a 10-minute shuttle ride away. So plan ahead. 2) Lack of information about the resort at check-in. No map. No printed info or app for spa/gym or restaurant hours or shuttle schedule. We had to go around and ask. Discovered too late that there was information on the hotel TV channel about recreation options. A friend discovered after they checked out that the sauna, hot tub, and pool were free.

I would never recommend this hotel. We booked a “luxury” stay only to find out our room had no working air conditioning. The heat was unbearable and caused my family to get sick—this is extremely unsafe and dangerous, especially for children and vulnerable guests. When I tried to address the issue, the Director of Rooms refused to answer my calls. Despite the situation, the hotel still charged us in full even though we had to leave a day early because it was impossible to stay there under those conditions. This is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one that advertises itself as luxury. Their policies and practices should be investigated, as they put guest health at risk and refuse to take responsibility.

We had a great experience at the Montage. The resort and its amenities are in great condition, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is a big plus - very easy access to downtown Park City but also a very short drive to plenty of nearby hiking and attractions. The food is high quality and there are several options for meals.
