Beautiful but extremely noisy! Would not go again.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Great room with a beautiful view! We were able to enjoy the scenic view of the mountains and trees from our balcony. Breakfast was great! However, we booked this trip as a family and friends weekend to relax and “get away” to celebrate my birthday and the conclusion of my mother’s cancer treatment. However, were dog(s) located in a room directly across from us that barked during our ENTIRE stay. I drifted off to sleep at 11pm still hearing them bark. And woke up at 7am the next morning to the same barking. I am a huge dog lover! I have a dog and live with 2 people that each have a dog. I enjoyed petting dogs while walking around the town this weekend! However, listening to dog(s) bark and howl literally continuously during our entire stay was exhausting. The first day/night, the woman at the front desk said she called the room with the dog(s) and no one answered the phone, so “there was nothing she could do about it”. The second morning/day, we called the front desk and the man who answered the phone said they had also received several other notifications about the dog(s) barking and they were addressing it, but the dog(s) continued to bark and howl until we checked out at 10am. Due to this, my family, friends, and I unfortunately will not stay here again.

Sedona Bliss

Excellent view and amenities. Love the pools. Location is perfect. Decor has a lot of charm and character. Room was nice. Unexpected perk: laundry facilities onsite. Highly needed after lots of hiking!! Will be back and would recommend!!

Hotel and villas are different properties -- beware!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

It is VERY IMPORTANT to understand that this property consists of two TOTALLY SEPARATE and DISTINCT areas. One is a 5-story hotel, located right on the main street of Sedona. The other is a vacation condo complex located further back, against a stream. I will mainly be reviewing the hotel, which is where I stayed. Note that the "villas" make up only a small percentage of the units Best Western has to offer, and most are rented out by a separate company. Hotel guests to have access to all of the facilities of the villas. MOST OF THE GOOD REVIEWS HERE ARE OF THE VILLAS. Please keep that in mind if you are planning to book at the hotel. The hotel has some positives. The beds are comfortable. The rooms facing the back of the property have a nice view. The lobby is nice and has a good coffee machine. There's a roof deck with a fantastic 360-degree view of the area, though it closes at night, and there's nowhere to sit up there. The hotel's location is excellent. It's right there in the main part of Sedona, and you are a few steps away from several shops and restaurants. However, the property has one gigantic flaw: The bathrooms. They're horrible. They are tiny, the sink is located separate from the toilet/shower, and the bath/shower water is hard to set to the proper temperature. There is a breakfast each morning, which they promote as something special, but is your typical Best Western continental breakfast. There is no standard maid service, and you need to ask for replacement towels/toiletries. The rooms facing the street are fairly noisy from traffic, even the high floors. If you are paying more than $300 to stay at the hotel, you will be disappointed. This property isn't worth the $500 or so they charge for standard rooms during the high season. If you see prices like that, might as well pay a bit extra for the villas, or stay somewhere else. The villas themselves are not perfect. They're a bit rundown, but at least they are spacious, and they're on nicer grounds. It is a walk up a steep hill to get to the main drag, whereas the hotel is right there on the street. The hotel has a decent outdoor pool, whereas the villas have an indoor pool. If you can get the hotel at a decent price (under $300), it's not a bad choice. Otherwise it's just not worth the money.

Highly recommend

I would highly recommend as many stores and eateries are within walking distance. The view of the mountains are stunning and our room had a balcony overlooking the pool. It was very clean and a great place to come "home" to. Definitely recommend as it's a good place to stay.

All Price, No Value – Poor Experience Start to Finish

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

This stay was a huge disappointment. For over $500 a night, we expected a comfortable, well-run property. Instead, we got a tired room, zero service, and no amenities to speak of. There was no housekeeping at all during our stay. No fresh towels, no tidying, and we arrived to find the master bath wasn’t even stocked with basics like shampoo or soap. If you’re cutting daily service, the least you can do is make sure the room is ready. Maintenance issues were everywhere. The fireplace didn’t work. The master shower was useless—either a painful blast or barely a mist. The room phone blinked red constantly for phantom messages, lighting up the room at night. We had to cover it with a towel just to sleep. All of this was reported to the front desk. Nothing was done. There’s nowhere onsite to eat or grab a drink, and breakfast was dismal—watery eggs and canned fruit every morning. The pool was small, dirty, filled with leaves, and had no towels available. Rooms are so far from the main building you have to drive just to eat. And to top it off, we were charged $20 a night for basic off-street parking. Staff felt completely disengaged. No acknowledgment of loyalty status. No follow-up on any issue raised. Nothing about this stay felt warm, welcoming, or worth the money. Save your money—this place is all price tag and no payoff
