Reviews for Pendry Natirar

Lovely, engaging and luxurious place to stay.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 hours ago

I mean this place is lovely. The staff tries very hard to be engaging and accommodating. The drinks are excellent. The food is of very good quality. The ambiance is of what you’d expect from a luxury outfit. The gym was a bit too warm when my wife went to exercise in there but she called to make a request to cool it down and they accommodated her right away. The spa staff are warm and engaging. The pool wait staff are adorable and again, very friendly and accommodating. This place is lovely. I don’t know why some reviewer is complaining about a coffee spill on a wall- that is absurd in my opinion and easily cleanable. Let’s get real here. We had a wonderful time with them and would go back again and again. The sheet thread count is great. The water pressure is wonderful. The accommodations are on par for a luxury stay.

Operational Breakdown and Service Issues

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

A recent stay at Pendry Natirar fell far short of expected luxury resort standards due to widespread operational issues, poor property maintenance, and a lack of management accountability. While dinner on Wednesday evening was fine, the overall guest experience across the rest of the property was deeply disappointing. Management Responsiveness: Direct outreach to property management regarding unexpected bill charges and service breakdowns yielded no meaningful resolution, with one manager deflecting responsibility to front-line servers and another failing to respond entirely. Maintenance & Cleanliness: A guest stairwell featured coffee-stained walls, unblended paint splatters, and an exposed rodent trap sitting directly on the walkway floor. Near the main entrance, an apparent staff break area was littered with trash and broken bottles, and employee vehicles routinely traveled at unsafe speeds on the narrow entrance road. Facilities & Amenities: At 9:15 AM on a sunny 70-degree morning, the outdoor pool remained locked shut with duct tape placed over the posted hours sign. During heavy rain, the bell stand had no umbrellas available. In the fitness center, a Peloton bike was missing a foot pedal strap, treadmill screens had visible sweat stains, and no hotel corporate login was set up on the equipment. Guest room linens were thin and worn. Dining Operations: The daily breakfast credit does not cover a baseline meal under current à la carte pricing. Charging $7 for coffee and juice that sit complimentary in the lobby 25 feet away is an extreme markup, and unannounced $5 upcharges were added for basic pancake modifications. The host stand was also left unstaffed on multiple occasions. Staff Culture: Housekeeping carts consistently blocked guest corridors late into the evening (past 9:00 PM), and staff members routinely failed to acknowledge or step aside for guests in the hallways. For a property positioned in the luxury market, baseline maintenance, billing transparency, and attentive guest service are missing across operations.

Disappointing Service at Pendry

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The property itself is beautiful, the land & design were standouts but the overall level of service was extremely disappointing for a hotel at this price point. The biggest issue was a clear lack of training and consistency across the staff. Ladd’s Tavern: This seemed particularly poorly managed, with slow and inconsistent service throughout our stay. * Day 1: We sat outside and ordered the 3-egg breakfast. It took 30+ minutes to arrive and was missing items, including toast and butter. Tajine, our server, was attentive, but the overall service was still very slow. * Day 2: We sat inside and our server was essentially nowhere to be found. Again, we ordered the 3-egg breakfast and waited 30–40 minutes. When it finally arrived, the eggs were extremely runny and undercooked. We asked for a coffee refill three separate times before getting one. Eventually, a manager came over, apologized, and comped the meal, which we appreciated, but the experience was incredibly disappointing given the price point. Staff appeared busy, but there was very little attentiveness anywhere in the restaurant. Multiple tables were experiencing slow service, and we even saw people sitting at the bar eventually get up and leave because no one was attending to them. * Day 3: We sat outside and Mo was our server. The difference was night and day—breakfast arrived within 10 minutes and everything was perfect. This showed that the issue isn’t the restaurant itself, but rather consistency, staffing, and training. Ninety Acres: This was the complete opposite experience and one of the highlights of our stay. We ate there Friday night and the service was excellent—very attentive without being overbearing. The food was hot and the overall quality was really high. Our entrees, the duck breast and trout, were slightly overcooked, but the quality of the ingredients really stood out. For a farm-to-table restaurant, I loved how close we were to the farm and how fresh everything tasted. I really enjoyed both the food and the level of attention we received. Would highly recommend Ninety Acres. Housekeeping: The first day was excellent, including a welcome turndown service. Unfortunately, the second day there was absolutely no service to our room. We left around 11:30 a.m. and specifically let the hotel know via text that we would be gone so housekeeping could service the room, and this was acknowledged. We returned at 4:30 p.m. to find that nothing had been done. We didn’t have time to leave again and wait for housekeeping, and there was still no turndown service by the time we returned around 8 p.m. Gym: The gym was also disappointing. I used it all three days and it appeared that no one had cleaned or organized it during our stay. The mats and equipment were in exactly the same positions each day, and the floors needed attention. Pool: The pool associates were easily the most attentive and best-trained staff we encountered at the Pendry. They deserve significant praise—the service there was exactly what we expected from a hotel at this level. Overall, the Pendry has a beautiful property and clearly has some excellent staff, but the service was far too inconsistent. At this price point, I expect a much higher level of attention to detail and basic service standards. The contrast between our third breakfast and the first two days really highlighted that the hotel is capable of delivering great service—it just needs to be much more consistent.

A place for peace and relaxation

My wife and I had the most relaxing and pampered celebration of her birthday. A tremendous place to unplug, relax, and enjoy the bucolic setting and exceptional service.

Inconsistent experience - some good, some not so good.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

My stay at the Pendry last week was disappointing. Could not get staff to locate items left in the room during one of my past stays despite getting confirmation that this item had been located and would be held in the security office. The biggest issue I see is the lack of communication and initiative from staff members. No one seems to be willing to take ownership for resolving a guest request/issue.
