Ideally situated between Del Monte Forest and the shores of the pounding Pacific Ocean is The Inn at Spanish Bay, a World's Best in terms of accommodations, hospitality, service and golf according to the experts at both Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure. Towering Monterey Pines punctuate the property, while the sound of breaking waves adds a melodic feel to this exclusive and exquisite property. The Inn at Spanish Bay is an indulgent retreat for both golf enthusiasts and those who seek ultimate relaxation and luxury behind guest room doors. Most chambers feature private patios or balconies with varied views as well as cozy fireplaces. Suites are a bit more lavish, with spacious floor plans that lend themselves well for entertaining.

Everything here is excessively expensive. Overall the hotel and the room were luxurious but the hallway outside our room smelled like they had serious issues with the sewage system. Thankfully it did not travel into our room but it was indeed offensive! I was also disappointed that the complimentary items in the room were not replaced after being serviced. Unfortunately the coffee area in the lobby was not well maintained and the many glasses, plates, and trash left behind by previous guests in the lobby sitting areas weren’t cleared away. It was not what I expected at this level of stay. I found the front desk, valets, and shuttle driver to be very helpful.

The staff were extremely helpful and polite. There are many restaurants and bars to suit different budgets. The rooms and facilities were well maintained.

Amenities are subpar and not accessible for all. As a new mom, I requested a fridge with a freezer so I could travel with my milk. They did not have any personal fridges for the room with freezers but offered to keep it in the freezer through the front desk. I handed off the milk and it came back the next day completely defrosted. They said they had moved the package to a different freezer which defrosted everything, thus making the milk completely unusable to feed my baby. Medications and certain essential supplies need to be kept at specific tempatures. The staff and amenities at this hotel are creating unsafe conditions for people with certain medical needs. At this price point, totally unacceptable.

My dad and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of his 75th birthday present with golf at Pebble and Spyglass. Definitely the most expensive place I've ever stayed but I knew that going in. The rooms were nice - beds were very comfortable, and the fireplace was a nice touch. There were a couple things not working in the room - the TV remote and one of the bed's reading lights. Service was generally pretty quick when we brought these up. The Food and Wine Festival was just wrapping up so there was a lot of activity around. Dinner at Peppoli's was good but very loud. Breakfast at Roy's was decent - and we were one of the only people in there. The bagpiper is a highlight. It wasn't the nicest place I've ever stayed, but I could see why it qualifies as a luxury hotel. One note: we were interested in the free Lexus 2 hour test drive, but didn't realize that you had to book it for certain time windows, which didn't match up with our schedule, so we skipped it.

Stayed for 3 nights at this historic hotel in the pebble Beach area. They were going to tear down the hotel and golf course two days after we departed for an 15 month reno. Surprising because the place was pretty darn nice. Although we had booked a garden view room they somehow upgraded us to ocean view. It’s a beautiful, large hotel with great dining and other facilities. They shuttle you to all the golf courses and to The Lodge so very convenient. Really enjoyed our stay there.
