Andaz Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo

We had an amazing stay at Andaz. From the moment we arrived, everyone was warm, friendly, welcoming,you can tell the staff truly enjoys what they do, and it creates a wonderful atmosphere. The pools overlooking Papagayo Bay are breathtaking, and seeing monkeys and iguanas around the property made the experience even more special. It feels like being surrounded by nature while still enjoying all the comfort of a luxury resort. We visited in late November, and it was the perfect time to come. The start of summer in Costa Rica means everything is lush and green, with bright blue skies and fantastic weather. We ended up spending most of our time at the resort because it was so peaceful and relaxing. We were recommended nomad tourscr at the hotel, and we’re so glad we went with them. Gabriel was incredibly easy to communicate with through WhatsApp and suggested the best private tours, like the Rainforest and Buena Vista Adventures,beautiful, well-organized, and not crowded at all. A special thanks to our guide Luis; my family truly loved him. They also helped us with our airport transfers, which made everything even easier. We highly recommend Andaz Papagayo for an unforgettable stay in this amazing place.

From the moment we arrived, this hotel lived up to every inch of its luxurious reputation. The atmosphere alone felt like stepping into a sanctuary of elegance and sophistication. We were greeted with warmth and a genuine feeling of welcome. The food was nothing short of exceptional. Every meal was a deliciously yummy experience, from a wide array of choices at breakfast to exquisite dinners infused with creativity and flavour. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully appointed. It offered the perfect blend of modern elegance while wrapped in the lush green vibe nature of it's surroundings right off the room balcony. The linens were plush, the bed divine, and the attention to detail from lighting to layout was well appointed and very inviting (although the lighting system was a bit tricky to navigate). Cleanliness across the entire property was outstanding. Every space felt pristine, meticulously maintained, and cared for with true pride. It’s the kind of spotless that instantly puts you at ease. Service was the real standout. The staff went above and beyond at every turn ~ they were both gracious and readily attentive. You could feel the genuine hospitality in their delivery. And the amenities? Impressive. Whether it was the serene spa, the hotel grounds, the fitness centre, or the beautifully kept pool and lounges, each feature added another layer of excellence to our stay. Cannot say enough about the spa ~ exceptional!!! In every way, this hotel exceeded expectations. A fabulous five-star experience that we would return to again.

We stayed at the Andaz and it honestly ended up being one of the most relaxing trips we’ve had in Costa Rica. The atmosphere of the resort is so calming, and the activities they offer around health and wellness really helped us disconnect and recharge. One evening we went over to the Four Seasons for dinner and it was absolutely amazing, great service, delicious food, and a beautiful setting. Everything during our stay felt smooth and enjoyable. We’re already hoping to come back in the future! My family and I wanted to spend some time outdoors tours in, explore a few waterfalls, and do some hiking during our stay. That’s how we met Gabriel from Nomad Tours Costa Rica, and it honestly made our trip..We visited Río Celeste at Tenorio National Park and also went to Rincón de la Vieja, both were incredible experiences. The transportation was comfortable, the vehicles were very new, and since they are all local guides, they know the best spots and offer great prices. We truly recommend this wonderful hotel, surrounded by nature and positive energy. It was the perfect place to relax and explore Costa Rica.
