Nekajui, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

We visited Nekajui for one night last October and enjoyed our stay so much that we knew we had to return—and we did. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding, and every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Our Manzu, Johan, made our stay especially memorable. He went above and beyond to create a personalized experience, always anticipating our needs with warmth and professionalism. His attention to detail and genuine desire to make our visit special truly set him apart. A particularly memorable moment was when my wife mentioned to Johan that I was about to retire in just a few weeks. He thoughtfully arranged a surprise for us, which was an unexpected and touching gesture. It truly made our stay unforgettable and showed how much the team cares about creating meaningful experiences for their guests. There were also plenty of activities available throughout the resort. The Explorer Team was fantastic and helped make our stay even more enjoyable. We especially enjoyed paddleboarding and the nature tour around the grounds, which gave us a greater appreciation for the beautiful surroundings and local wildlife. We also spent time relaxing at the spa pool, which was the perfect place to unwind. We loved spending time at both Niri Beach Club and Puna. The food was outstanding, with excellent quality, beautiful presentation, and great flavors. The atmosphere at both venues was fantastic, and each meal was a highlight of our stay. Combined with the stunning surroundings, exceptional dining, diverse activities, and outstanding hospitality, it made for a truly remarkable experience. Nekajui is more than just a luxury resort—it is a place where guests feel genuinely valued. We left with wonderful memories and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Nekajui Peninsula Papagayo, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve Nacascolo Top Notch Property 1062143027 What a property and area. For our 15th wedding anniversary, my wife and I took a week long trip to the Peninsula. We travel often, and usually in a very high quality way. We were blown away by this resort. The staff was amazing and helpful. The spaciousness and cleanliness was top notch. The food was amazing. A very quiet, but expansive resort. The spa services were excellent, and the overall attention to detail of the concierge could not have been better. We rarely visit a single place multiple times (we love to explore), but will certainly be back here again

Nekajui is hands down one of the most stunning properties I have ever seen! And from the minute I walked in, I thought "I absolutely need to come back here." While we didn't have the pleasure of staying here, my husband and I stayed elsewhere on Peninsula Papagayo and ended up dining at Nekajui for the majority of our anniversary stay. The food here is several levels above other hotels in Peninsula Papagayo, and from the bridge to the gondola, the many levels of this property are so cool to explore. Jaido and Hector went above and beyond for us during our three dinners here, and I still dream about the chicken quesadillas from Brisa (sounds basic, but I swear they were anything but). Sunset drinks at Ambar were also absolutely unreal -- you truly feel like you're in a treehouse, enjoying the most carefully crafted cocktails up among the clouds. The beach here is small but pretty in its own way; I just wouldn't recommend coming if you're looking for a true beach vacation. If you're deciding among properties within the peninsula, from my experience staying at all of the others, Nekajui is easily the winner with the most unique design truly built into the cliffs and service and dining that are both truly world class.

My family just returned from a 3-night stay at Nekajui, and it was hands-down the best resort we’ve ever stayed at. We were fortunate enough to stay in the family treetop tent, and all I can say is “Wow!” From the breathtaking views complete with a plunge pool overlooking the ocean, to the luxe bedrooms and bathrooms (including 2 outdoor showers where you can see the view from as well), it was truly a unique, otherworldly experience. Our Manzus, Dayshan and William, were available round the clock to help with everything from making and modifying plans to immediately securing golf carts to bring us wherever we wanted to go on property. As for the resort itself, we loved everything about it: the food, the beach, the gorgeous grounds and decor, and especially the people! The entire staff was friendly, helpful and extremely accommodating. We will definitely be back!

I cannot say enough great things about Nekajui. My wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary there with a six night stay. The property is amazing, and the amenities are wonderful. Our Manzus, Nablo and Enrique, were incredible and catered to our every need; the entire staff is well-trained and friendly. We have visited other Ritz-Carlton Reserve properties. They are all fabulous! Nekajui tops the list. We were upgrade to a plunge pool suite. That was a significant treat. We had dinner at all three restaurants at Nekajui and they were all was fantastic. The spa is the best we have ever experienced. A 90 minute massage in the couples suite can not be missed. We also enjoyed the golf course and found Cooper’s speakeasy and Amber bar to be must-visit spots. We ventured to the Four Seasons twice for dinner. While it was good, the property felt crowded and noisy compared to the high standard set by Nekajui. My wife and I look forward to our next adventure, and Nekajui will definitely be at the top of our list.
