It’s a nice enough hotel, very big and a bit impersonal. We stayed there as part of a family holiday, wouldn’t have been my choice. I don’t much like casinos. Check in was smooth. Didn’t have much need of service. There was a big fun run that blocked access to the entrance to the hotel on check out — wasn’t handled very well by the hotel and had to get the race organisers to let me through in the car.

This hotel is the very definition of “lipstick on a pig”, all style and aesthetics, but lacking the substance that defines true luxury. The property certainly looks grand, but it has little understanding of what genuine five-star hospitality should feel like. From the moment we arrived, there was no one to greet us and no offer of assistance with our luggage. The check-in experience set the tone for the rest of our stay. Rather than introducing the hotel, explaining the facilities, or making us feel welcome, we were immediately told about additional charges and reminded that check-out was at 11am. It’s a strange first impression when a hotel’s initial focus is on your departure rather than your arrival. What was even more disappointing was the constant emphasis on charging extra. Guests are required to pay additional fees to use facilities such as the sun deck by the pool, steam room, and sauna. It felt more like flying with a budget airline, where every amenity comes with a surcharge, rather than staying at a luxury hotel commanding premium rates. The hotel is also located around 15 minutes from the city by car. While there is apparently a shuttle service to the train station, this was never mentioned to us at check-in and only came to light because we specifically asked. This lack of proactive service was a recurring theme throughout our stay. The overall impression is that management is focused on maximising revenue opportunities rather than delivering thoughtful hospitality. Luxury isn’t defined by impressive decor, marble finishes, or an elegant lobby. It is reflected in attentive service, anticipating guests’ needs, and making people feel genuinely cared for. Unfortunately, this hotel falls well short of that standard. If luxury service and genuine hospitality are what you value, I would look elsewhere. I certainly won’t be returning.

Me and my friend went for a dinner and play casino. It was an amazing experience to explore the food and lifestyle in the casino

I went to check out, advised staff to please take our luggage from room and we would have breakfast then pick up our luggage then leave. I arrived at counter and they did not even pick up our luggage after 45 minutes. Not 5 star service

We have stayed at Crown Towers numerous times over the years, and once again our most recent stay did not disappoint! Everything was top class, from the friendly and attentive service to the facilities and amenities and the accommodation! The Crystal Club always tops off the experience! Thank you for another memorable stay Crown, we will be back!
