Losing its shine.

I have always looked forward to my annual mini break at Crown Towers but the luxury standard is dropping. Crystal Club does not feel exclusive anymore. Chandon no longer an option in the evening, the only sparkling available is Prosecco or Moscato. Service at TWR made me feel like they were doing me a favour. However the Enclave was a standout with the extra food and beverage inclusions and exceptional service from Dara and Allen, well done. Maintenance issues need to be addressed though, our TV in the cabana did not work properly and cupboard doors did not close.

The Enclave was the standout

Stayed for 3 nights mid week for a break with my sister, our regular treat. In previous years we always looked forward to the value offered by the Crystal Club but sadly things have changed. Staff and service was very good, however the complimentary drinks on offer were limited. No sparkling wine? Chandon NV had been a regular on the list, but no more. canapes ok. Our Enclave experience however was exceptional ! Fruit platter, cheese platter and $100 food and beverage tab was very generous and great value for money in the overall cost for the Enclave experience. Definitely the highlight of our stay. Note: Hotel staff (not Crystal Club team) spilled the tea regarding the possible closure of Crystal Club and La Vie. Not sure how much truth to it but if you're a fan you may want to visit before end of the year.

Standards have dropped

It’s disappointing to say this because we’ve celebrated many anniversaries at Crown Towers Perth, and it has always felt special to us. Unfortunately, this most recent stay just wasn’t the experience we’ve come to expect despite the reservation team securing crystal club for us last minute ( which we did appreciate). We had two cockroaches come out of the sink in our room on the top floor, which immediately made the space feel unclean. On top of that, the sheets didn’t look fresh and basic amenities weren’t in the room at check-in, and we had to call to have the essentials brought up. For what should have been a special occasion, it was disappointing. We’ve always associated Crown with quality and attention to detail, but sadly this stay fell well short of the standard it once delivered.

Worst hotel stay ever (except for the last time we stayed there)

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The room was nice but they did not tell us there was no tablet in the room so we were unable to close the curtains - it was a 36 degree day so extremely bright and uncomfortable. At night we were on open display to every Metropol room with a window - we felt like we were in a zoo. Good and drink orders in the pool area never arrived and we were charged for minibar use the day after we left despite not consuming anything from the room. The food at the atrium buffet would be great at a $30 to $40 price point but they charged $110pp. Definitely not worth it. This place is a money grab and they have very poor customer service. Save your money and stay in much better places - anywhere but crown towers
