First impressions are stunning - a huge lobby, pool, spacious rooms. Even with 2 adults and 2 teens sharing the twin beds were just about big enough, which isn’t always the case. We had a gorgeous view of the city and river. Where it falls down is the practical stuff (ie the stuff that matters). A captive audience with few other walkable alternatives means that breakfast at Epircurean is an eye-watering $54 per head (more at weekends) and room service also very expensive with a large surcharge. And for that the basics (coffee and croissants) are not even good. The croissants and pastries are not fresh. We eventually found a cheaper evening dining venue at the Promenade hotel but even that was $160 for a very simple meal for two and a glass of wine. The room cost $400 more on the Saturday night, and we assumed this was due to increased staff costs. The hotel was very busy with international rugby at the Optus Stadium and weddings etc. we had the worst service all week on that day - no housekeeping *at all* and we had to ring down twice for toilet paper and basics to be refreshed. I don’t expect fresh towels and sheets every day but at $600+ a night (and $1000+) I don’t think it’s outrageous to expect the bed to be made and fresh toilet paper and body wash topped up when we were out of the room 10am-4pm most days. Also if the towels aren’t going to be replaced every day (again, ok) give me somewhere to hang them up to dry at least. And with the pool being such a big feature of the hotel, where to put wet swimsuits? Some extra hooks or rails for this in the bathroom would be useful! Lastly, very little storage space in the room. There was a lot of space in the room but a lot of it empty - and we filled it with our open suitcases, which we had to live out of because there was no space to put much away. Maybe for two people for a couple of nights it would be ok but for 2+ and a longer stay it wasn’t well planned. We had a good experience with massages in the spa but again it’s twice the price you’d expect if you went to a decent spa elsewhere. The “Crown surcharge”. And the spa pool looked lovely but was full of people. Overall we had a good stay but the price is way more than is reasonable for lacklustre service and lack of practical amenities. We’d stay in the Perth CBD next time, or, more likely, go overseas and enjoy better service for the same price.

Crown Towers has always been a little bit of luxury and great for a short 'staycation' away from the hustle and bustle. Lately the quality of most things has dropped a little, sadly. Not visiting as much because of this.

The rooms are pretty clean and if you are above floor 8 you can get private check in. The epicurean is amazing food yum. Crystal club is like the epicurean.

We loved our stay at crown towers!! What a beautiful establishment. Our room didn’t have the best view (out the back of the hotel) but we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I particularly loved the tv in the bathroom and the beautiful soft line on the beds. The mini bar was very well stocked also. Our only comment would be we would have loved more information on check-in as we had no idea where anything was or that there was actually heated pools outside (we only discovered this before we had to check out). Overall we just can’t wait to book another night here at some point and hopefully book with a better view this time. Thank you Crown!
