The luxury of a five-star hotel, the access of a premier location, the convenience of high tech amenities, and the comfort of a home away from home - AKA Rittenhouse Square brings everything together in one impeccably designed building sitting proudly on what may be Philadelphia's most bustling corner, 18th & Walnut. Respectfully transformed with stylish, up-to-the-minute interiors that still preserve the building's magnificent historic facade, AKA's extended-stay building is at the heart of this city known as the "Birthplace of America". With sleek lines and stylishly contemporary decors, each spacious apartment provides all of the comforts of home, along with the service and amenities of a luxury hotel - for best of both worlds.

We just spent five nights at the AKA Rittenhouse while in Philadelphia for our daughter's wedding -- and it was a wonderful experience. The pros far outweigh the cons! On the positive side: most outstanding and noticeable was the staff, with special kudos going to Tina and Tony at the front desk, and Gianna in sales who booked this for us. They could not have been more professional, accommodating and helpful. When construction noise was a problem, Tony immediately provided an extra room on another side of the building so our adult daughters could work remotely in quiet, and he also sent up a bottle of wine. Tina was similarly helpful and generous, and warmly welcomed us "home" every time we returned to the hotel. We called once to ask if the hotel had any ice machines, and someone immediately brought us ice. It's that kind of service! The location is just fantastic, on the corner facing Rittenhouse Square. And we chose a two-bedroom suite, each with a king bed and en suite bathroom, so that our adult offspring could share the space with us, and we enjoyed having a living room and full kitchen too. Each bedroom included a comfy robe, and an easy-to-use safe in the closet. We even watched a movie in the 2nd floor cinema, which has seven luxurious recliner seats, and we logged in to our own Netflix to watch. The lobby is small and without services, aside from the attached bar and the attached restaurant (both well reviewed; we just didn't have time to use them as we had a full schedule of wedding events). Now, onto the few cons: the first one is temporary, and it was unbearably loud noise right outside our room from work being done on the facade, which we hadn't been warned about; it went on for most mornings we were there, and (as mentioned) we were given another single room for two days at no charge where work could be done in quiet. The last criticism is that the lighting in the suite is really sub-par, especially in both bedrooms. Very, very dim and nothing that could be done, without additional table lamps or overhead lighting being added by the hotel -- which should be done! Overall, though, AKA Rittenhouse was a great value (same price we would have paid for two rooms at the Notary with the wedding rate, and we wouldn't have had a living room and kitchen), and the location, overall offerings, and superb staff make it a great choice in Center City Philadelphia!

This was one of the BEST hotel stay experiences I've ever had!! It was also our first family trip with our four and three year old so we were a little anxious as to how it would be. We booked one of the suites with two rooms and two bathrooms and it exceeded every expectation! This location is perfectly located in the heart of Rittenhouse Square - the prime location means a lot of traffic. But when we arrived Tina happily ran out to help with our bags (we had sooo many bags) and she was eager, happy, helpful and patient. She was super knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. The room itself was a dream for traveling with young children. A spacious living and dining room and fully stocked kitchen!! We set out on an adventure and when we got back some toys and a kind welcome note awaited our arrival. The team had prepared the gift for our older son (as they were super accommodating when I booked the wrong dates and realized it later that my son was still going to be in school), but when we showed up with another son Tina ran to MULTIPLE stores to find stickers for him - because she knew how important that was for a little one (and she was right!!). All the staff was kind and welcoming and it was overall the BEST experience. We can't wait to go back!
