Reviews for Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia

Wonderfully kind staff and room, confirming that I will continue to stay here when visiting Philadelphia

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

I cannot express how surprised I was to receive such star treatment at this hotel. I just traveled for business purposes and stayed for 3 1/2 days. I was so incredibly impressed with the professionalism, friendliness, deliberate, and intent focus to serve. Truly, I was taken aback at the kindness of the staff. Every person I encountered was helpful, friendly, and aimed to please in whatever way was needed. Any question asked was answered in a manner that went above and beyond, always steeped in an attempt to leave the guest beyond satisfied. I received such superior and high-quality and genuinely kind service that every time I visit Philadelphia, this is where I would stay. Every special request for myself and the accompanying large number of attendees for my event were left satisfied with the kindness to provide good serve. I want to especially acknowledge the efforts of each of these individuals who went above and beyond the call of service, each and every time I encountered them during my stay. Specifically, I owe a great thank you and appreciation to the attentiveness of Bernardo and Mr. Zaman in food service, both of whom made sure I had meals that felt personalized and with much thought and effort to make me feel welcome and appreciated as a guest. The entire staff in the food service were spectacular in their delivery of customer service, and everyone did so with a kind smile and welcome throughout our entire stay. I also want to thank two individuals directly who were at the front desk: Consuela and Rashid, the concierge. When I say that these two individuals cemented my decision to return to this hotel for future stays is an understatement. They were both so gracious, kind, welcoming, and ensured that I had a customer service experience akin to how service used to be historically. Thank you both for your sincere attention to every detail and ask that I and others accompanying me needed. You were the best! Lastly, beyond the staff, I had an incredibly beautiful room on the 8th in a very nice suite, which was huge in size, very clean, modern, and had a gorgeous tub within the shower where one (even of large stature) could take a comfortable bath. It felt luxurious and offered a beautiful view of this historic center of Philadelphia. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Team! Please keep up the hard but great work! You truly made my experience memorable, and I was not expecting that for a short business trip.

Phila Historic Area a Wedding Hub

Hotel Monaco is a beautiful hotel tucked into Philadelphia’s most historic area. Home to Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and the Constitution Center. But this weekend it was situated perfectly for my son’s wedding and venues. Very short Walking distance from the Downtown Club, Independence Beer Garden and PJ Clark’s we had celebrations and post wedding breakfast covered.

James C!! Five star employee

Our organization is here until Thursday morning. As we prep for all of the needs of our volunteers from registration to unpacking boxes, etc. James C has been nothing but available and ready to roll with anything we’ve asked of him. Add his willingness to help with nothing but a smile on his face is just the cherry on the top. Thank you James C

We didn't like this hotel as much as the Sofitel, which was full. We probably wouldn't stay at Hotel Monaco again. Decoration was weird; no hangers in the room; housekeeping knocked and opened our door despite the occupied signed on the door.
