Love this hotel!

I had an amazing experience staying at Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia recently! I’ve always adored this hotel, but the new renovations were lovely, along with Red Owl Tavern and Stratus Rooftop Lounge!

Absolutely amazing experience!

My partner and I stayed here for the weekend for our anniversary. The experience was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The staff are wonderful, the room was spectacular and we had an absolutely amazing stay. Every amenity at the hotel is perfectly curated and the entire vibe is so on point if you’re looking for elegant chic without the attitude. We've stayed at a number of hotels in Philadelphia and this is by far the best hotel experience we have had. Definitely be back soon!

Newly renovated!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

First stay here since the renovation - and as with my prior stays, I love the location and the historical nature of both the building itself and the whole neighborhood. The rooms have had a major change in appearance with the renovation, and I think it will be more broadly appealing, yet it is also not as unique as the prior decor. The color palate is more muted, however quite classy, and there is less going on with the wallpaper. The televisions are bigger and the big bright red dresser/stands are gone. Thankfully the high quality Waterworks fixtures are still in the bathrooms, and they have upgraded the bath mats - at least in the corner spa rooms. Something very elegant about a crisp white cushy bath mat! The view towards the park and the bell tower is fantastic, and I personally enjoy hearing the clock chiming on the hour. The Red Owl Tavern offers solid fare and drinks - and there are dozens of options for eating and drinking within a few blocks too. The new carpet smell was very strong - however I would think this will fade quickly as the weeks go by from the renovation. Overall, the Monaco remains a great choice for Philadelphia, especially if you seek proximity to the historic area! The photos on the hotel's website are accurate - check out their website to see the new decor.

Great customer service

The first person very helpful to me and my family was Sage. He was immediately helpful throughout my stay. Tracey was the second person that went above and beyond to make us comfortable and provided accommodations to help me feel better about my experience. The decor is beautiful and it’s very clean here. I wish the gym was bigger and parking wasn’t so pricey but overall we had a good stay.

We didn't like this hotel as much as the Sofitel, which was full. We probably wouldn't stay at Hotel Monaco again. Decoration was weird; no hangers in the room; housekeeping knocked and opened our door despite the occupied signed on the door.
