If I could give 10 stars, I would!! I truly cannot recommend this hotel enough! My girlfriend and I went to celebrate our anniversary, and we had the absolute best experience. Roshid and Consuela both went above and beyond. My girlfriend and I got upgraded to a spa corner room when I said it was our anniversary, and after I said my girlfriend doesn’t drink, they had delicious cupcakes, a basket of goodies, and a note for us in our room. The service here was absolutely incredible. Thanks, Roshid and Consuela!! These two deserve a raise!!

We had asked for a room with a view when we booked our hotel last year, and it was not promised. I was over the moon happy when Consuela upgraded our room to an absolutely beautiful view of Independence Hall and Independence Park. She was very welcoming and kind, a really excellent employee and asset to the Hotel. On the other hand, I took down the name of a doorman that was very condescending and mean spirited when we were leaving the hotel. I actually don’t have the heart to get him in trouble, thinking maybe he was just having a bad day… but on the flipside, Darnell was very kind and helpful and positive and a pleasure to be around! The Red Tavern room service was also excellent! The hotel lobby is just stunning and the wallpaper in our bathroom made me want to take it home! 🙂

Overall the room was very nice and the staff were attentive. There were a few little things that could have been better. When I arrived there was nowhere to park so I pulled over to clarify the location. I waited on hold for 15 minutes and no one ever picked up the phone. This caused me to miss my dinner reservation and meeting my colleagues. There were two trash bags and a microwave in the hallway during my first day at the hotel. It seemed strange that they were there for such a long time. The shower had open glass which made it difficult to get the right temperature without getting cold water sprayed on you initially. In addition you have to be careful to keep the water from splashing out. In my opinion it’s a poor design that many hotels are now using. At 4:47 am I was awakened by vacuuming in a nearby room. It lasted for over 20 minutes and disrupted my sleep which was frustrating. If you use the valet give them 20-30 minutes to get the car. I wish I had known that so I could have avoided busier traffic. On the positive side they give you a $10 credit if you have them skip a cleaning and their texting support for questions was excellent. The location was outstanding.

Great room and stay! Highly recommend! My husband and I were in a corner room on the 33rd floor. It was large, clean, and very comfy. The bed was extremely comfortable. We slept very well. Housekeeping did a great job. Great location. We stayed here before about ten years ago. We enjoyed it even more this time.

We didn't like this hotel as much as the Sofitel, which was full. We probably wouldn't stay at Hotel Monaco again. Decoration was weird; no hangers in the room; housekeeping knocked and opened our door despite the occupied signed on the door.
