Loews Philadelphia Hotel

Worst valet parking experience I have ever had. The front is on Market Street, which is super busy and had no signage or any indication that the valet garage was around the corner. My son had to get out in traffic and go ask where to go. Then there was a line out the garage door because there's no staging area at all, so my car was sticking out in traffic while I waited 10 minutes for people to unload their cars very slowly and finally get moved. I paid $60 for this???? Ridiculous. The lobby is awkwardly laid out and cramped, very loud and always feels crowded. Finishes in the lobby are dated and look like a bank. The room was fine, but I was so annoyed by the time I got up there that it didn't matter.

Our stay at the Loews Hotel Philadelphia was absolutely outstanding! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome with exceptional hospitality and attention to detail. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms were spacious, spotless, and offered incredible views of the city. Its location is perfect.

I recently had a great work trip to Philadelphia - which sounds weird because I am not a Philly fan (sorry, friends!)… we stay at the Loews Philadelphia for a meeting and the experience was… fine? The hotel is very interesting with a 90’s teenage boy bedroom vibe - lots of black, red, and white. The lobby was cold and oddly laid out. When you arrive through the parking garage, finding the lobby is quite a maze. Once I finally found my way to the front desk, I had a lovely check-in experience. I don’t have too much to report back because the hotel experience was very average - the rooms were fine. The elevators took forever. The staff was nice but not overly friendly. Trying to muster up a pro/con/recommendations list as I do not want to disappoint my followers so here it goes: Pro’s: - Good location, very walkable to everything. My colleague and I had a fun adventure walking around getting ice cream, seeing the city, etc. (Shout out Tatum!) - Cozy room with great size desk to work on - Great view of the city if you have high floor - Great service when using the telephone. The agents promptly picked up and were so nice and friendly when taking my room service order, helping get my car, etc. Con’s: - Towels in bathroom are practically tissues. Barely cover you and are incredibly thin Recommendations: - Lighten up the color scheme of the lobby. It’s so dark and sad when you walk in. Maybe throw some plants around if you can’t change the black marble? - Add signs to guide you from valet to the lobby Overall good stay but I would pick somewhere else to lay my head next time.

First not sure where to really start. The place is nice looking, clean and the lobby is nice. The large tv's were good for folks watching sports. Most all of the staff was nice and helpful. For the not so nice part: The hotel apparently did some new renovations but they have some hiccups. The suite we booked the sleeper sofa was broke. I guess no one opened it before to see? but the right side was cracked. They did not have a spare. I am glad they had another room as i was the 3rd person in the room (hence the suite) and was given a single room. But they had too. The lighting they put in is so dim i had to ask for 2 more lamps. The entrance way light switch was broken and had not been replaced. These feel minor but it adds up. I would say for anyone of a certain age, the lighting isn't good, same for the suite area. They give you a table to maybe eat in but only 1 chair? For a suite? I had to ask for 2 more chairs. And a hotel that is 4 or 5 stars you can't afford to give each room 2 starts water bottles. The fiji in the fridge is $9 - but apparently if you ask at the front desk they will give you 2? But when my aunt asked. Someone said it was $9 bucks. So confusing. I didn't see one hotel porter for elderly guests but i think they did have folks to help - not sure. When we looked at the bill i didn't understand the Destination fee (its about $35 /day) and really still don't understand how they can justify it - the gym is open. The pool is not. The $10 voucher for an Uber would have been nice to know AT CHECK IN. Maybe a discount for a museum might be there, but didn't get this till the end. Everything is really just fluff. Please give us some water bottles for that amt. *Folks please remember to ask at check in* I feel they just need to take a beat & train everyone the same and be mindful of all these things that add up. Convenient location on Market Street. It was walking distance to the Convention Center and Reading Terminal market. I had a very late check in and they were able to accommodate the late check in. The green tea pod was not very good for the coffee maker and do not recommend. The a/c was on the loud side. Would stay at the hotel again.
