Loews Doesn’t Disappoint

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Loews Hotels never disappoint and my first visit to Loews Philadelphia was no different. Friendly staff, clean/updated rooms, amazing views from my high floor corner room, convenient location. Bonus points for the plush eagles for my kids at check in! Will definitely be back during my next visit to Philly!

Excellent experience, looking forward to returning

Gorgeous, spacious, impeccably clean room on the 12th floor. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable bed, sheets, and pillows. Pleasantly surprised by the spacious desk and a real mini fridge (I can't stand the trend towards 'coolers'). Nicely sized closet and armoire with an excellent iron. Blackout curtains worked perfectly. With regards to concerns about sleeping - I was on the 12th floor and could on occasion hear traffic - the doors are also oddly loud when they close, but I couldn't hear the rooms next to me. Though I'm a very light sleeper none of this interfered with my sleep.

Sleepless in Philly

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Not aLoews experience at all. Weirdest entrance and lobby area. Perfunctory checkin experience. Rooms are so NOISY and poor sound insulation. Could only sleep with noise cancelling headphones. No safe. Water is $8.00 and no shop to buy water. You exit the elevator, and there are no arrows to indicate your room. 1 electric outlet and 2 older USB plugs near the bed. Haven’t they heard of USB-C? I would never stay here again.

Fine

Perfectly Fine. Hotel is a bit worn overall, but was clean enough. Front desk staff was lovely. Restaurant is quite overpriced. Central location. Room was reasonably sized. Minimal amenities. Absolutely fine for a business trip or quick stay.

Well done Loews Philadelphia Hotel!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

I had a very nice 2-night stay for a conference. I’d be happy to come back here for another conference, or even as a tourist. Check in was quick and easy. I stayed in the lovely large room #2101 with a view of mostly the roof, but also the Philly skyline including the city hall clock tower. There was NO mold, dust, bugs, hairs, or garbage from previous guests. The bed was comfy and had lots of pillows. The thermostat was in the room and it controlled the temperature appropriately. The blackout shade totally blocked any outdoor light for nice, dark sleeping conditions. The fridge, coffee pot, and television worked just fine. I liked the various electronics charging, seating, and lighting options in the room. The toiletries smelled very nice. I am a very light sleeper. I had my white noise machine with me for sleep time and did not hear any hall or neighboring room sounds while sleeping. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. Valet parking was convenient – but quite expensive at $108 my whole stay. The conference rooms, water, food, and seating were great. Be sure to go to the 33rd floor where you will experience an AMAZING view of the Philadelphia skyline. Well done Loews Philadelphia Hotel!
