Loews Philadelphia Hotel

Nice hotel. Convenient locations. Reasonable hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff helpful. No pool.

Booked a double queen room since family staying. They ran out of rooms and gave us a room with one bed. No apologies. Rude staff at front desk. WiFi difficult to connect and slow once you finally get on.

My wife and I chose Loews Philadelphia for a three day Valentine’s weekend because the hotel holds personal significance for us and is marketed as a luxury property suitable for a special occasion. Unfortunately, our experience was very different from what we expected. We were not informed until after check-in that the hotel was hosting a large youth dance competition. Throughout much of our stay, the atmosphere reflected that event. The lobby and public areas were crowded with participants and families, and there were pizza boxes, delivery bags, and trash visible in hallways and elevator areas on our floor. The noise and congestion made it difficult to enjoy the common spaces. One of the reasons we chose the hotel was to spend time in the restaurant and bourbon bar, but on Valentine’s evening those areas were heavily impacted by the event and did not feel like the quiet, adult environment we had anticipated. At one point we left the hotel for much of the day simply to find somewhere quieter to spend time together. The hotel manager did remove one night from our bill as a goodwill adjustment, which we appreciated. However, after multiple follow-ups with Guest Relations, we were ultimately told that this represented the full resolution. Unfortunately, the experience has tarnished what were once very positive memories of staying at Loews, and as a result we will not be returning. I share this so that other couples considering Loews Philadelphia for a romantic or special occasion understand how both the environment during our stay and the handling of our concerns ultimately unfolded.

Stayed for two nights in January 2026. The hot water was not operational in the entire hotel during the morning of our checkout day. The hotel stated the hot water would be back online at 11am but it was not back online at that time. The hotel was aware of the outage but did not communicate the information prior to arrival, otherwise we would have canceled our reservation and stayed elsewhere. The hotel offered a credit of $58 for this issue; however, we would not have stayed here if we had known the water would be out during our stay.

Beautiful room and hotel location was perfect for a night to hang out. Prior to going out went to wash my hands and was surprised that the water was not warming. To my surprise the next morning unable to shower due to no hot water. Call to the operator who says it is a city issue however my man works right next door and ironically they have hot water. Even my mom who lives in the city also has hot water. Not happy at all.
