We arrived about an hour past the check in time and they did not have rooms available that matched what we booked. They told us we had to just wait in the lobby but did not tell us how long it would take. Mind you I had two young children with me and waiting in a dark hotel lobby was not going to work. The manager said she was going to check with housekeeping but she never even called, she just walk over to the side. It wasn’t until we spoke up that they offered a $100 credit to their expensive hotel restaurant. They blamed the eagles game that night but did not provide any resolution. We left and told them to process a refund of our money and had to go find a different hotel.

For this brand and price I really would have expected more. We had to call the front desk for the TV to work. The sink at first didn’t drain and then we realized it also leaked. Any hotel that has a sliding door that doesn’t even fully close gets an automatic downgrade IMO. Then to top it off, even though we requested late checkout, our key card stopped working past 11am on our last day, and then the replacement card didn’t work, so we lost time being able to pack. This is FAR from a 5 star hotel and not worth the price. I wouldn’t stay here again.

This was my girlfriend’s and my first time going to Philadelphia and at a W Hotel. We were checked in and taken care of by Ireka the Front Desk Agent and she was such a pleasure! The hotel is wonderful, maintained excellently, and has great amenities like their heated rooftop pool (a perfect getaway in this cold). Thank you again to this property so much for the excellent hospitality.

I have noticed quite a few negative reviews, but I had a lovely stay, made especially wonderful by my check in experience with Tiffany. I mentioned that I had just flown cross country to visit my sister who was ill, and the next morning early, I was delighted to find a fruit plate and carafe of orange juice outside my door. Attached was a beautiful and thoughtful hand-written note wishing my sister well! My hotel room was spotless and well cared for. Breakfast service was swift and attentive. And the location is wonderful!

Visited for an overnight stay in the city. I chose to stay here because primarily of its proximity to the venue I was planning to visit. Lobby area looks interesting and functional; it is a little dark in some areas (e.g., elevator banks) that could benefit from additional lighting especially during the evenings. Assigned room was of good size; layout is not conventional but somewhat over-designed; e.g., sink's singular tap is to the side as opposed as facing the user that required some adjusting. Temperature control of the sink's tap was also not intuitive - that required some experimentation before getting the right temperature. Soap dispensers in the shower were locked and also equally challenging to unlock - especially after a long day; shower's water pressure was on the weak side. There were no hooks to hang towels next to the shower - which meant wetting the floor after one is finished to reach the nearest hook. Room was nicely furnished with views of the city; bed was a little on the hard side but everything worked well in the room, viz. wifi, temperature control. There were plenty of electrical outlets to feed one's peripherals and the large working desk was welcome. Had dinner and breakfast at the Dolce; food was acceptable as was the service. Overall, this is as expected of a "W" branded hotel.
