⭐ 1/5 Really frustrating booking experience. I called the central reservation line before booking and was assured we could check in around noon and that parking was included. After booking, I contacted the hotel directly and learned neither was the case, so we ended up canceling. Dylan at the front desk was exceptional—friendly, helpful, and honestly the best part of the experience. I really wish I could have just spoken with someone at the actual hotel from the beginning instead of this central reservation hotline. For a downtown hotel directly across from major sports venues, there really needs to be more flexibility around a 4 PM check-in. When games and events are starting around the same time, guests shouldn't have to choose between checking into their hotel and getting to the event they traveled there to attend. We ultimately went with an Airbnb instead because the check-in was much more flexible and the policies were simply more accommodating to our plans. Even offering a guaranteed early check-in for a fee would make a huge difference.

Beautifully decorated rooms. Super clean. Front desk staff is extremely helpful and warm: A big shout out especially to Kaitlyn, Danny and Gregory! I feel as though they went above and beyond in helping me. I like their social hour, between 5 pm - 6 pm. Very walkable area and nearby buses and light rail. I came for some needed rest and certainly was able to do that. I had brunch at the next door, Breakfast Club. Good ambience, nice wait staff and the food was good. The hotel is only a 2 hour drive to Sedona National Park - a great stop over. Highly recommend!

Kimpton Downtown is our home away from home…literally! This is hands down our favorite staycation destination. From the minute you pull up to the valet, every member of staff is welcoming and makes you feel like a VIP. The rooms are always immaculate and the staff meets every special request promptly. Donna and her team are the best Downtown are the epitome hospitality. The rooftop bar offers a casual/hip atmosphere with beautiful views of South Mountain. We always stop in at Blue Hound to have a cocktail and say hi to our favorites Genie and Julian. We spent summer 2025 exploring different hotel options downtown just to branch out. I am so glad we did because I can say now with absolute certainty and supporting research that Kimpton Palomar Downtown is the best Phoenix has to offer! 💕 - Jerad and Chandra
