Reviews for Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort

Dated and disappointing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The resort itself is very dated and doesn’t feel anywhere close to what you’d expect for a Hilton resort at this price point. Rooms and common areas clearly need a refresh. On top of that, there’s a $39 per day resort fee, which felt especially hard to justify given the limited amenities and overall condition of the property. The biggest frustration: the main restaurant was closed for private events on two separate days, with no advance notice provided at check-in. That left guests scrambling for food options off property—pretty unacceptable for a self-contained resort. The location and views are nice, but between the condition, surprise closures, and extra fees, this stay didn’t deliver value. Would not return unless significant updates are made and communication improves.

Best end to a bad day

We were placed at this hotel by an airline after a delayed flight and I couldn't be happier. This hotel and its amazing staff was so friendly. Out plane didnt leave until 6 pm the next day and they allowed us to leave our baggage and just hang out by one of their like 6 pools. There are two pools surrounded by waterfalls. Bar and food service at the pool. The rooms are great, comfy beds and clean and soft bedding. Honestly there were smiles and help wherever we turned. Would return easily

Wonderful people! The did everything to make our stay memorable. Special shoutout to Richard Whitted, who drove us up in his golf cart to our room upon check in and was always helpful.

scenic resort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I enjoyed my stay at this Hilton resort. Incredibly welcoming and professional staff, whether it was helping me use my multiple Hilton credit cards at checkout or offering golf cart rides to their scenic hilltop restaurant. Very spacious rooms and many pools throughout the resort to choose from. Nicely air conditioned gym. Attractive colors with the buildings, blending in with the scenery. The bar had pretty good food and drink, with most items at reasonable prices. The hilltop fine dining restaurant has phenomenal views overlooking the city. Room for improvement. Several of the power outlets in my room's light fixtures need to be replaced, as the outlets can be too loose to hold in a phone charger. The restaurant has an outdated lounge menu option on their internet site, which I was looking forward to, but they've discontinued it (I didn't know that until I arrived). The very few entrees (non-sandwich or non-salad) items in the bar were ridiculously overpriced compared to the rest of the menu.
