This not a resort, rather a hotel with some pools and a golf course. After our road trip through Arizona we wanted to relax by the pool and soak in the sun for a few days. Upon check in and knowledge that we were traveling with teens, we were given a room by a pool. The size of the pol was like an oversized bathtub so they changed our room closer to the larger pool. It was still a hike to the pool. The second day we moved our car closer to the pool. We had breakfast on site - overpriced and service terrible. The next day we had Starbucks onsite - much better but only one person was working so the line was very long and they soon ran out of food, etc. At its best this is a budget resort. Rooms need updating too. The pool staff were friendly and attentive.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The pools are beautiful. The complimentary golf cart shuttle was much appreciated since the property is so big. It was a great time and perfect location for the concert venue. The breakfast buffet was delicious!

The beds were very comfortable, and room was in a perfect location (right over the waterfall). The rooms are getting a little outdated but very clean. Parking was not the best but there is a shuttle that will take you to your room if you park far away from your room. The pool was very, very nice. It was great to spend the day there and watch the movie at night. Warning.....if you purchase food from the pool cafe, they will automatically charge you a tip which I find odd when you order and pick up the food yourself. The food and drinks were very good for quick bites. I rated it a good experience because of two items that just some customer service training could be done for the night staff in the lobby. I think the girl was new as she didn't know how to run the computer very well, but she had a poor attitude (rude) when I was trying to settle my room charges. The valet/shuttle driver greeted us with "what's up" rather than a "how can I help you"; unprofessional. I am a stickler for customer service so those little things can change my perceptions very fast. Overall, it was a nice weekend trip!

After 34 years of coming here we will not be back. Drink prices are out of control drinks are not very flavorful and the beer is warm. Food for what you get again overpriced and not a good quality product. Next they automatically add a tip to all your food and drinks of 20 percent. The pools had their tiles fixed but where it told you the depth of the pool it was black and those tiles had not been cleaned in months. The adult pool has 2 spas and some of the sides of them were green. Such a disappointment Hilton just wants to make money and not give the guests a good experience.

Not Worth the Hype – Disappointed by Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs I do not recommend the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort. The property feels dated and rundown, with uncomfortable beds and air conditioning that seems stuck in the 1980s—definitely not ideal when it’s 120° outside and you’re sleeping under a down comforter. Comfort? Not even close. We ate breakfast at Pointe In Tyme, which cost $134 for two adults and two kids—wildly overpriced for what was served, especially considering the insects crawling up the stairs as we entered. We originally booked through a Groupon deal, then upgraded our room to be farther from the adult pool. By the time we added the resort fee and upgrade cost, the price matched what we would’ve paid for a stay at the JW Marriott. And honestly? I wish we’d gone there instead—better food, better service, and much more well-kept grounds and landscaping. This resort may have had its heyday, but sadly, it’s long past.
