Off the southwest tip of Vietnam lies an island where time stands still. Phu Quoc is a place of tranquil pleasures, beginning with La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc. Designed to reflect a colonial-style mansion, this boutique sanctuary resides in a lush tropical garden along a white sandy beach. Along with private balconies, guest rooms boast a divine sense of privacy. They are also just steps from the sociable atmosphere of La Terrace restaurant and the aptly named Sunset Lounge, where cocktails and homemade ice cream are highlights.

Beautiful resort by the sea. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The grounds, gardens and pool were amazing. The rooms were spotless. The nightly turn down service was nice along with the sweet treats. Close to the Main Street.

My husband and myself stayed at this beautiful hotel for 7 nights whilst we were touring Cambodia and Vietnam The hotel met and exceeded our expectations! We upgraded to a garden room as we wanted the facility of a bath and were so glad we did as it absolutely made our stay The staff, hotel, restaurant, breakfast and ambience was five stars and above We had an amazing time and would definitely stay here again The hotel was close to local restaurants which was an added bonus if you wanted to eat outside the hotel There was fabulous live music 6 nights a week which we really enjoyed and every single staff member went over and above especially Sam who always took time out to speak to us One of my highlights was the amazing sessions with Patrick at the spa The session and advice he gave to me regarding sleep , meditation and breathing techniques has transformed my mental health and I will always be be beyond grateful for his advice and support I would return in a heartbeat so thank you La veranda

Beautiful Colonial boutique hotel on the beach front - wow! The personal touches like notes from Madame Catherine, complimentary sorbet to the sun beds, turn down service & friendliness of the staff made you feel very relaxed and at home. The restaurant on the beachfront is great & the fine dining restaurant upstairs is outstanding. But the main star is the beautiful building & verandah. A couple of things for improvement: *Please provide insect spray for the beach chairs & citronella candles for the verandah & restaurant - the little tiny bugs & mosquitos are intense. * when seating people in the restaurant upstairs be mindful where you seat them. We booked in & the sun was setting & we’re seated as far away from the front verandah as possible. No one else came into the restaurant for another 45 mins & one table at the front over looking the ocean sat vacant the whole time we were there - it was a little annoying A big shout out to trainee Meghan - she was very friendly & helpful whenever we saw her. Thanks for having us, it was a lovely relaxing stay

I was tired. The kind of tired where you don’t want to answer another single question. The moment I was taken to my room, I lost all sense of direction. There was no straight path leading to the pool. Only winding walkways paved in warm terracotta, curling through towering coconut palms and thick banana groves— like I’d wandered into a secret garden, lovingly tended by someone who had spent a lifetime just so I could come here…and get lost. I got lost a few times— and never once felt the need to find my way back. I got lost on the way to the spa. I took the wrong turn trying to reach the beach. Once, I thought I was heading to my room, but ended up standing under a canopy where sunlight filtered gently through the leaves. And all I wanted… was to get lost again. La Veranda doesn’t try to recreate Indochine—it is Indochine, alive and breathing. Open the balcony doors, and the entire tropical forest spills into view like a scene from the film Indochine— a ceiling fan spinning lazily in golden light, the subtle scent of essential oils dancing in the air. There was a small detail on the balcony that made me feel truly seen: a laundry rack—low enough to stay discreet, high enough to keep things clean. La Veranda is not just a resort. It’s a tropical forest… that speaks French. And me? I don’t speak a word of French— but somehow, I understood everything it said.
