Amanpuri

Amanpuri’s so-called “best villa” is a disaster. Villa 18/19 has a terrible layout—endless stairs, rooms scattered across hills, completely impractical and exhausting. Not suitable for families or parents at all. Shockingly bad design for a property that claims to be Aman’s finest. Extremely disappointed.

I recently had the privilege to visit Amanpuri for a drink at the bar and a look around — and it completely exceeded my expectations. The setting is breathtaking, with architecture and nature blending so seamlessly it feels almost unreal. The serenity, the views, the understated elegance — it all creates a sense of calm that’s hard to describe. I finally understand why people call themselves Amanjunkies. This place is in a league of its own.

This is a storied hotel but doesn't quite live up to expectations. Rooms are dated and service is good, but with occasional lapses. E.g. items left behind by previous guests were still in bathroom drawer when I checked in, and rice was missing from a dish described in menu as coming with rice.

The Aman team truly treated us like royalty. Every moment spent with AMAN RESORTS PHUKET felt special and unforgettable. From the heartfelt connections they made with everyone, to the top-notch amenities, the serene ambiance, and the calm, relaxing vibe — Everything exceeded expectations! The rooms were immaculate, and the water was beautifully clear. There’s really nothing more we could have asked for. This place definitely deserves the highest rating and should be a STANDARD-SETTER IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY. But above all, what stood out the most was how they made us feel completely at home. Nice doing AMANPURI! 👏👏👏You have offered an UNMATCHED LEVEL OF SERVICE. Keep it up!

It’s taken me nearly a year to put my thoughts into words because I still think about my first Āman trip and will probably forever. If you’re looking to truly escape from earth and aiming to find a greater peace and connection to yourself I cannot recommend Amanpuri enough. If you’re looking for quiet, understated luxury with absolutely nothing left to chance there’s only one option. I’ll forever see this as a second home and cannot wait to return. We went in off season and I think it added an additional layer of calm — our room upgrade to celebrate our anniversary was the best present I could ever have asked for. Also the food — purely vegan with a unique menu everyday — was some of the best I’ve ever had. Āman will forever be that brand.
