My wife and myself recently stayed at Amatara Wellness Resort Phuket for one week and can honestly say the overall experience was excellent. The hotel complex is beautifully designed with an obvious love for detail—fountains, lotus flowers, and ponds are thoughtfully integrated throughout the property. The large pool area is stunning, and the hilltop location offers breathtaking views over the open sea and Panwa Bay. We stayed in the Panwa Suite, which was very spacious and offered incredible views of the bay and sunset. One of the highlights was being able to enjoy the view even from the bathtub and shower thru large windows. The balcony was large and comfortable, perfect for relaxing with a sundowner in the evening. The room also featured electrical blinds and very pleasant indirect lighting, adding to the overall comfort and atmosphere. The air conditioning was very efficient—while it could be slightly quieter, it was completely draft-free even on higher settings, which made it very comfortable. The king-size bed was large and very comfortable, the room with plenty sufficient storage space available. The room also included a coffee machine and minibar/fridge, which was very convenient. Housekeeping was excellent and impressively discreet—they never knocked but seemed to know exactly when we were out, and the room was always perfectly serviced upon our return. 5 stars for cleanliness no matter where you looked, in the room and across the resort The staff throughout the resort were consistently very friendly and attentive, whether housekeeping, gardeners, restaurant staff, front office, or wellness team. Everyone greeted us with genuine smiles. The restaurant team deserves special mention—they were highly professional and knowledgeable, even when it came to European wines, and were very attentive during breakfast. Food quality ranged from good to very good depending on the dish. We had the chance to experience a special Songkran event, which was a real highlight: traditional drums and dancing, live music, and a dinner buffet set around the large pool with beautiful sea views. The selection was excellent, including some European dishes, all very well presented and tasty. The live music created a great atmosphere with a smooth and enjoyable selection of songs. Afternoon activities such as balloon dart, Thai water boxing, and water gun fights were great fun to participate in and to watch. A special thank you goes to Front Office Manager Nita and her team, who were incredibly helpful no matter what the request and always took the time for friendly and interesting conversation. The same goes to Jay, the restaurant manager, who regularly checked in to ensure everything was perfect and also shared great conversations with us. We had a car, and parking was seamlessly handled by the staff. For convenience, the hotel also offers golf cart transportation throughout the resort and down to the entrance. From there, it’s a short walk to the seafront road with street food stalls, restaurants, and bars—including options serving European food—as well as a small 7/11 for quick shopping. We have stayed at the Amari in Patong many times in the past. While Amari Phuket remains a highly recommended hotel with great quality and service, Patong has become quite crowded and is the AMARI. In contrast, Cape Panwa offers a much more peaceful and relaxing environment. In many ways, our experience at Amatara met—and in some aspects even exceeded—our previous stays at Amari according to our opinion. Overall, this was a fantastic stay. As we regularly visit family in Phuket, we will definitely return to the Amatara

This was our third stay at wonderful Amatara. Once again, everything was amazing! We love the location up in the hills with views by the sea. Our ocean view pool villa was very beautiful and spacious for us two, and the housekeeping was perfect. We love the warm welcoming which always makes our stay, the staff is always very friendly and welcoming, which I think makes the whole atmosphere warm, ”good feng shui”. Wonderfull and beautifull spa! The staff is very professional. Breakfast at Siri restaurant is fantastic and you start your day just right! The only improvement we could suggest is the dinner restaurant service, no kitchen can manage from pizza to thai food. Thank you so much Manit & the team for making our stay memorable once again! Hope we can come back soon again!

My teenage daughter and I enjoyed a lovely 4-night stay at this beautiful resort. We stayed in a pool pavilion villa with a private pool and a view of the sea. The breakfast buffet is top rate, varying the selections daily. Room service was fast and delicious, as well as pool side food and drinks available at the large resort pool. We participated in a morning yoga class with an excellent, skilled instructor. The fitness room, with a sea view, offers high quality machines and hand weights. Our highlight was a 3-course private cooking class at the resort by Chef Yah. We selected the menu items to prepare in advance and then enjoyed the dishes there in the dining room. All was very professional, entertaining, and educational. We highly recommend arranging this experience. Our last evening we dined at the Scenes restaurant -- one of our best meals of all time. The food taste and presentation was extraordinary and the service was attentive. It was the perfect way to end our holiday. There are plenty of restaurants, nail and massage places, and 7-11 just outside of the resort gate - a 5-10 minute walk. Old Town Phuket is a 20-minute ($7 USD) Grab ride away and the airport is around 50-minutes ($30 USD). The resort is quiet and secluded, perfect for couples or families. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Amatara and highly, highly recommend to all travelers looking for a special experience in Phuket!

If you are looking for a nice luxury resort, highly recommend checking out Amatara. We stayed in one of the villa and had a great experience. It was spacious with a private pool and amazing view. The breakfast buffet was splendid with so many options to choose from. The Central Phuket mall was only 20-30 min away if you need to go shopping. All the staffs we encountered were so friendly. The warm Thai hospitality and smiles made our stay enjoyable. We wish we had stayed longer as we were short on time. We will definitely be back.

We had a fantastic two-night stay at Amatara Wellness Resort in a Pavilion Pool Room. The room was beautiful—spacious, private, and having our own pool made it feel really special and relaxing. The resort itself is stunning, with peaceful surroundings and a real sense of luxury throughout. What truly stood out, though, was the staff. Every member of the team was warm, attentive, and genuinely went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Given the resort’s hillside setting, the buggy service was a real bonus. Staff were always happy to collect us from our room and take us to the lobby or even down to the main road, and the gatehouse could easily arrange pick-up and drop-off as needed. It made getting around effortless despite the steep layout. It was the perfect relaxing way to end our holiday—we left feeling completely unwound and very well looked after. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.
