We decided to have our honeymoon in Thailand and did not use any kind of travel agency, after much research we decided on Amatara and my god. It did not disappoint. The staff was top tier, so attentive, they get to know you and are always so polite and helpful. We both had a bit of jet lag and they had a nurse on hand to help us out so we could enjoy the trip, she even checked in on us. The bay view villa we stayed in was stunning. We are forever ruined because nothing will ever compare to this room/trip. The massages were the best I ever had, I decided to try the shirodhara and let me say. That was life changing. I work in a day spa and have never experienced a service like this. At one point I felt paralyzed(in the best way) every stress and concern completely left my mind. The food, oh god the food. The food was so good and clean both my husband and I have decided to make serious dietary changes. Breakfast: We had a floating breakfast on the first day and it was the perfect way to start off our trip. It was delicious, intimate and photo worthy. After that we had breakfast at Siri and that was insane. It was a deliciously maintained buffet with amazing options. Highly recommend the banana in coconut milk. Lunch: My favorite dishes were served at Senses. It’s a bit more secluded but has a pool with loungers. We didn’t find it till our third day which I will forever mourn the fact I lost 3 precious days of eating lunch there. The main pool also serves lunch which was just as delicious, we ordered room service a couple of times which I believe was the same food and it was perfect every time. Dinner: If you are considering doing a romantic private dinner then this is your sign to do it. Private waiter, private chef, private setting. The Thai dishes they have are the best we had the entire trip, served at Siri. We had a few drinks and some things from sun and moon and once again it was delicious. The entire property is so beautifully maintained it’s truly everything you would imagine when you hear someone refer to something as paradise. I’ll forever dream about my first impression after arriving, traveling 23 hours tired and hot and just being filled with relief because I made the best choice of my life besides saying yes to the man I was arriving with. We will be back for every anniversary. And for reference we had to stay an extra 5 nights in Thailand due to our flight being cancelled and have stayed at two other resorts now. All we keep saying to each other is “it’s not Amatara”. Nothing compares.

Extraordinary stay at Amatara Wellness Resort Phuket. From arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Jasper at reception with a beautifully fragrant Thai tea that immediately set a serene, luxurious tone. Her genuine warmth made us feel truly cared for. The resort is a peaceful sanctuary with stunning sunsets, breathtaking infinity pools, quiet nights, and magical moonlit skies—every detail feels intentional and calming. Breakfast at the Sea Restaurant was outstanding, featuring fresh fruit juices, flavorful Thai breakfast staples, and made-to-order eggs cooked to perfection. A special mention to the gentleman preparing omelettes and traditional Thai soups each morning—always smiling, attentive, and happy to customize anything you wished. The staff throughout the resort consistently anticipates every need. A true slice of heaven and a jewel of the Andaman Sea. Highly recommended.
