Amora Beach Resort

This resort is a great value. You get all the things you would want in a stay at the beach at a reasonable price. The location is ideal. It’s located on Bang Tao beach which is known as a more family friendly beach in Phuket. It feels quiet and peaceful, but also is close to many restaurants and has Tops right across the street. Anywhere you might want to go is within walking distance. A huge grounds with every amenity you could want. It also has very nice conference rooms and ballroom for all your events. The staff was so helpful and accommodating for all of our needs. Ms. Donlapa was easy to work and very organized in arranging everything for our event. Also, the breakfast is exceptional. Such a wide variety of options. They thought of everything!!!

Great pools. Excellent service. Beautiful location

Entre level 5 star hotel. Everything is OK, but there is no 5 star luxury. The biggest plus of this hotel is the major renovation done 3 years ago and the location right on the beach with its own beach area. The rooms and equipment are still new and in relatively good condition. The territory could have more greenery, some palm trees have been added recently, but compared to the old hotels in the neighborhood, the territory is very bare. The only luxury in this hotel is the paid beach club Nora, which takes up half of the hotel's small beach area. Hotel guests can rent beach chairs at the Nora beach club at a discount of 1000 THB per day. Obviously, most customers consider this price too high, because there were usually only a few customers there, but at the same time the beach area included in the hotel price was completely full. You have to book a good beach chair early in the morning (although this is prohibited), the first and second rows are already reserved at 7:00 in the morning. Towels are only brought to the beach at 10:00 (sometimes later), so if you want to go to the beach earlier, you have to take a towel in the evening. Many beach towels are in very poor condition, with large holes and faded. The rooms have a lot of different names and it is difficult to understand what the difference is. The rooms named Amora are completely new rooms (with a more modern interior), the other rooms are renovated old rooms. The room with a sea view can see the sea a little through the trees. The breakfast is too simple for a 5-star hotel, but everything you need is there. The cleaning was generally OK, but the floors were always sandy. More than half of the visitors are Russian-speaking, but contrary to the common prejudice that Russians drink and party hard and behave noisily, they behaved very politely there. There were a lot of families with children and these Russians raised their children very well. The only children who screamed and ran around like crazy were the “free-range” non-Russian-speaking children. We asked for a quiet room, but we got a room at the beginning of the corridor, which the whole house passed by. A standard-sized mini-fridge, which is full of goods sold by the hotel and there is very little space to store personal belongings. The safe must be “reset” with a hidden button before use – no one explained this and there are no instructions for doing so. Without it, the safe will be locked with the previous customer’s code. Fortunately, the safe was opened quite quickly. However, it makes us a little doubtful about the safety of the safe when the locked safe was opened by an employee in 3 seconds. In other hotels, it has taken two employees to open the safe and the opening has taken 5-10 minutes. If we want to stay at a hotel with its own beach area on Bang Tao Beach again, we would probably choose this hotel again, as the rest of the hotels with their own beach areas are quite “tired” (including expensive hotels).

It’s a very private and charming property, ideal for a romantic getaway. The team at the hotel truly made our stay extra special, and we couldn’t have asked for a better honeymoon experience.
