Anantara Layan Phuket Resort

If you are looking for a fabulous vacation, this resort would be your best option. There are diversified facilities like the gym with the most advanced technogym equipment, the semi-private steam, szuna, hot & cold bath at wellness centre, Thai boxing & rock climbing at active zone with professional instructors, lounging by the poolside or at the beach and the SPA with service ranged from massage to beauty. Plenty of local excursions options are also available. You must be able to find activities you would love to participate in. The food is amazing at Dara (the Thai restaurant) and Age (the steak house). Even for the breakfast buffet, some of the choices vary everyday. The Gin and wine collection at different restaurants are comprehensive. You will have a full stomach all the time. And of course the stunning view by the poolside and at the beach. The most impressive part of the stay is the staff. Everyone is so attentive, genuine and cheerful. Just relax and you would be in good hands. Would definitely be back again <3

A truly fantastic resort, perhaps a bit out of the way, but all the more beautiful for it, with extremely friendly service that, for example, made sure we never got wet in the rain. Great restaurant dara and one of the best breakfast selections we've ever had in Thailand

We stayed 2 nights as a Sala Pool Villa. The room was amazing, beautiful and had a breathtaking view. The food was excellent. The kids club had a lot of fun! as a 3 staff was kind with my kid. Khun Meena and Khun Fern greeted us upon arrival and was incredibly attentive during our stay. We would love to come back.

Overall a great hotel. Accessibility is limited for those with baby strollers or wheelchairs as there are many stairs going to the rooms, restaurants and even the kids club! Swimming in the sea is limited to high tide only as low tide takes the water way out into the ocean. Seatings by pool is very limited and seats by the beach is too hot on a sunny day because there’s no shade at all, except for the beach umbrellas that are quite small compared to other hotels. Breakfast is amazing with a special room just for cheese! Other restaurants are just so so and expensive compared to good restaurants outside the hotel. A 15 minute drive will take you to Porto mall. It’s an outdoor shopping area. There you can find many shops, restaurants and massage centers.

My husband and I have visited Anantara Layan several times and always enjoy our stays here. We decided to return for a short break in October 2025 and, as usual, booked directly through the hotel’s website, which offered a great daily room rate. We love staying in the Deluxe Layan Suite, although we’ve tried several different room categories over the years — all have been immaculate, spacious, and beautifully maintained. During this visit, the resort was in the process of upgrading the beach, which we were told would be completed within a couple of weeks. This improvement will make a huge difference, as we’ve always loved the resort but felt that parts of the beach were affected by the winter monsoons. Even though the work wasn’t yet complete, we could already see a big improvement — it’s going to look fabulous once finished! As always, we were greeted with the warmest welcome upon arrival, and that warmth continued throughout our stay. The entire team at Layan is genuinely friendly — everyone smiles and says hello, from the gardeners and housekeeping staff to the bar and beach attendants. A special mention goes to Mina, who always takes such great care of us and was incredibly accommodating this visit, especially when we almost had to cancel last minute. Also to Yayah, one of the breakfast waitresses, who greeted us each morning with a big smile, remembered our coffee order, and always made sure my husband’s marmalade was ready at the table. And to Nahed, who welcomes everyone so warmly in the lower lobby — she’s always smiling, full of positive energy, and genuinely interested in how your day is going. I wish I could take her home with me! Honestly, I could mention so many more members of staff — every single person goes above and beyond to make your stay special. Anantara Layan truly is a wonderful resort with exceptional people. Whether you’re staying overnight or just visiting for dinner at Age or Dara, or lunch at Breeze, you won’t be disappointed. We’re already looking forward to returning in February 2026!
