Anantara Phuket Villas

We have just returned from a 13-night stay at Anantara, and to say this resort is absolute heaven on earth would be an understatement! We booked a two-bedroom suite in the South Wing and, if I’m honest, I had some reservations beforehand as I wasn’t sure whether we should have opted for a villa with a private pool. But the moment we walked into our suite, I knew we had made the right decision. The suite was incredible — two large bedrooms, both with en-suites, and a beautiful, spacious through-lounge. We couldn’t believe the amount of space, and the attention to detail throughout was exceptional. Sun hats, beach bag, slippers and gowns were of great quality. The daily turn down service was on-point. Having a glass and bottle of water placed on every bedside table and strategically placed slippers by the bed was truly appreciated, as was the little touches in the bathroom. A huge tick on the accommodation front! Next, I have to mention the buffet breakfast. You know you’re truly staying somewhere special when the staff come to your table to take your eggs and hot drinks order. The selection every morning was fantastic, and the pastries were quite simply out of this world. The staff in the South Wing breakfast restaurant could not do enough for us. No question was too much and no request was ever made to feel like an inconvenience. The warmth, friendliness and genuine kindness of every single member of staff really stood out. It’s very clear that Anantara prides itself on exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction. And then there are the swimming pools! We have two girls, aged 12 and 15, and on the days we stayed at the resort, they insisted we spend the morning at one pool and the afternoon at the other because they were both so beautiful and luxurious. The infinity pool in the North Wing was a particular favourite as you get the most incredible sea views and feel the sea breeze a little more. The South Wing pool was equally beautiful and immaculate, with plenty of sunbeds. What we particularly loved was that not a single guest seemed to feel the need to reserve a sunbed — such a refreshing change! There was also a large inflatable in the South Wing pool, which the whole family had so much fun on. The little touches around the pool were also fantastic. Every visit, we were given ice-cold towels and water, and at various points throughout the day, fresh fruit on sticks was brought around. It’s these little details that make you feel genuinely looked after. We’d also like to give a very special mention to Otto. We first met Otto at the South Wing pool bar, where he took the time to ask our names and find out a little about us. From that moment on, he made a point of greeting us by name every single day. Such a lovely personal touch, and one that really summed up the level of service we experienced throughout our stay. The location of the resort was another big positive for us. It’s situated in a much less touristy part of the island, which we absolutely loved. If you want to explore the more popular areas, the taxi journey was around an hour or less depending on traffic. The roads were excellent, all our drivers were fantastic, and the journey cost less than £20 each way, so getting around was never an issue. If you’re looking for a resort that delivers true luxury, exceptional service and attention to detail, then Anantara is absolutely the place for you. As a family, we were genuinely blown away by the entire experience. After 13 nights, we honestly have zero negatives to report. We would return in a heartbeat. ❤️ Thank you to the entire Anantara team for making our family holiday so incredibly special.

Everything was perfect for a trip for moms and children. The kids had fun and so did the adults. Great service.

We stayed at Anantara Mai Khao for 12 wonderful nights and visited Talad every morning for breakfast. The staff were always incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating, which made our mornings so enjoyable. A very special thank you to Sunma, who was absolutely lovely throughout our stay. She was always so warm, friendly and accommodating and made us feel genuinely welcome every morning. Her kindness and wonderful service really stood out to us. ❤️ Thank you to Sunma and the whole Talad team for making our breakfasts such a lovely part of our holiday. We hope to visit again! 🙏
