Centara Grand Beach Resort was a fantastic stay. We enjoyed the beach, the pools, and the attentive staff. The location is great, and the resort offers many activities. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff always made sure we had everything we needed. We spent relaxing days by the pool, enjoying great food. The only downside was that our room was small, but it was always very clean.

This hotel is beautiful. However there's a catch. We were originally put in the Block 1. Our room was hideous. Dusty, unfresh, smelt of mould and was all round underwhelmingz our check in experience was disappointing- we arrived after a 16 hour travel journey at 8:30pm , and were not greeted with hospitality. The check in area is hot and unimpressive at first glance. The seating is outdated and tired. They should take arriving guests into the air conditioned area next to reception . We asked to change rooms and they were very very accommodating. This was a game changer. Our new room was out of this world. We enjoyed all of the facilities. The pool , jumping caves , the floatable tubes, poolside cocktails, in pool bar, the restaurant, in room dining. This resort is like no other. We will be back with our family.

We visited Centara Grand for 10 nights. On arrival at approximately 8.30pm there was no one to greet us. We took our cases to reception. The front office clerk was not welcoming and there was no ‘service with a smile’ It was like being in trouble at school, with the head mistress telling me if I lose the towel key, we’ll be charged this and that. All this was, was a business transaction, absolutely no hospitality at all. Our room (614)was comfortable, but not up to 5 star standard. It was old and tired, like most of the hotel, and needs a refurb. The housekeeping staff were great… always respectful and greeting us with a smile. There is an app for the hotel, to contact various departments and receive updates and offers. Generally this is a great idea, but it adds to the impersonal service. Breakfast, although there’s a big spread was completely disjointed. Again… no attentiveness from staff. Other than on one morning where Anan was a fantastic host. Most of the staff just seemed to be running around. I appreciate that it is a busy time, but that shouldn’t detract from the customers experience. The best part of this hotel is the pool area. This is vast and my girls loved the lazy river and the cliff jump. The location is also great! Right on the beach with lovely gardens. I enjoyed my walks along the beach. The service at the pool bar is good. Camilla is an absolute asset. The constant smile makes everyone feel welcome. Yo was also friendly and welcoming Thank you! Checkout was seamless with Risa and David being very attentive. This could be an amazing hotel. Although many developmental points, also so many positives! Overall we had a lovely time, I would have give 4.5 if that was an option. Thank you

Almost everything worked for this choice of ours. The location, the view from ocean facing room, all smiles service. Location - Karon beach is more family friendly crowd than areas like Patong which sees loud, party crowd. The beach front of this property is surrounded by a cliff so almost private. Room tip - D4 had an amazing view of the ocean from the bed, jacuzzi, balcony. Property is built partly on a cliff so accessibility can be a little tricky. Though detour will lead you to lifts, you will have to walk a little if you want to avoid stairs. Pool area was nice. Some more beds near the ocean would have been good. I am not much of a swimmer but it seems the ocean during this season and high tides is red flagged and you cannot swim. I woke up early for sunrise but was a little disappointed to see plastic trash on the beach. Property cannot control of it, saw later during the afternoon that cleaning was going on. Breakfast spread was good. We had lunch all the days at property and the options available is decent though one can ask for more local Thai options. Service was decently quick and all smiles. They make you download an app for room service, concierge etc. I think it would be a good idea to show the outstanding amount from the deposit made (THB 2k / night). Overall, a very relaxing stay. Would like to visit again.
