A Lovely Dinner

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 13 hours ago

I came here for a dinner with friends. I loved the beautiful architecture and peaceful atmosphere, and immediately felt welcomed in by the friendly staff. The meal itself was so delicious, made with skill and care, and was beautifully presented. The staff made sure we were all taken care of during the meal as well. With the stunning architecture, lovely staff, and delicious food, it’s an experience I’ll always remember fondly!

Highly Reccomend

My expectations were exceeded! The staff is incredibly attentive, helpful, and friendly. We had the private pool suite room and it was gorgeous, cleaned twice a day. The shared pool, spa area, entire hotel is stunning. There are two restaurants that has great Thai food and then a menu with everything. Breakfast is included and is very good. They also have a happy hour twice a day, Big and Jo were our servers most of the nights and were excellent - we appreciated them a lot! We did one of the hikes through the hotel to Black Rock and had an amazing time, and the spa did a phenomenal job as well - definitely utilize their activities. The beach is better for walking along than staying on - the beach locations on the other side of Phuket you can relax on, but none of the hotels are beach front and they didn’t seem super spectacular when we visited. Old town (I’d skip it), Patong, Kata beach, Big Buddha, and the temple (skip if you’re seeing Bangkok temples), etc. are about a 45-1 hour drive due to traffic, but the other luxury hotels I looked at in comparison to here was the same scenario. I did a lot of research trying to find the correct report/ location and think this hotel was perfect. Will definitely be recommending to anyone!

Tranquil

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Tranquil and private, excellent property on a cliff hillside. It’s secluded, the pool is very nice. Breakfast is healthy and clean. The staff is the highlight. They took great care of us, highly recommend this hotel to people who is looking for a private stay and excellent views of Phuket bays. The views are just superb. You will need a car to get around but there’s no point in leaving.

Exceptional location for a wedding

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I just had my wedding at COMO Point Yamu, and it was the best decision I made. The views are absolutely gorgeous, with a clear view of the ocean and beautiful sunsets to host sun-downer events. I highlight recommend hosting events by the poolside by the Nahmyaa restaurant, the sunset is breathtaking and it's a wonderful area for everyone to enjoy being outdoors and socialise. They also have a well-maintained wedding lawn to host the ceremony with a beautiful backdrop of the sea. The best part of the experience was the service from Alex and Ting. They were very flexible from the start and were doing their best to help us get the most out of our time at the hotel. We had multiple calls to align on the event flow and they executed it perfectly. From the floor plans, lighting, AV system, ceremony chairs, fans, seating arrangements and food, everything was arranged by them and they even enhanced some of our elements such as the mobile bar to make sure everything they provide matches the decor perfectly. Alex and Ting also worked very hard to get us the best possible rates for the rooms and food. They were very hands-on at the event from start to finish and whenever there was any issue, they were very proactive to fix the problem right away and ensure that the event flows smoothly. The food was exceptional, we had guests coming from many parts of the world and we served Thai food for both our events as their food is very authentic. A lot of our guests wrote back to us complimenting the food. The overall service was also superb, more than half of our guests stayed at COMO Point and many of them had young kids, and they said the staff took exceptional care of them. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, with frequent house-keeping (especially in my bridal suite where there were a lot of things happening, they helped a lot in making sure things are not misplaced). The only con of this hotel for events is the terrace connected to La Sirena restaurant - there is no AC installed in that area, and the only option is to either arrange for AC units from your own vendor, or rent AC units from the hotel at a premium price. AC is a basic requirement for any venue and I hope the hotel prioritises installing ACs in that area right away, as it did make the reception dinner very hot for some of our guests seated next to the terrace area.

Excellent

I think it's a wonderful quiet quality hotel if you want more remote and peaceful location in Phuket . It's not a bad deal for the money . Thailand is not Maldives so no need to be by the beach (the ocean and beaches are not as nice at all here if you have seen better ) unless you take a private boat and sail for hours to find a beautiful beach which is likely to be full of tourists and local vendors. The kids club is very good too. We visited Hanuman, elephant sanctuary from here but it's far from town and touristy areas. We would return.
