Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket

Travelled to this resort with family. Beautiful room, clean resort , nice beach. Shout out to Tiffy, she made the dining experience memorable from the breakfast at the club to Thai dishes by the pool.

This was our 13th trip to the Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket and for us it has always been heaven and without doubt our second home. It is certainly our home from home and we look forward to returning in March each and every year. Before speaking about the staff and how they contribute to our happiness, it is worth noting that since March 2025 there has been a substantial step change in the investment spent on the hotel's upkeep. Whilst the hotel was opened in 1988 to royal fanfare and built in a traditional thai style, the hotel has never looked architecturally dated and this year there have been significant visual improvements to the hardstanding areas, additional green shrubbery providing more privacy and a substantial renovation to the Casuarina Beach restaurant which now looks purposeful, modern and has a fabulous menu. The primary reason we have returned on so many occasions is due to the most wonderful and caring staff many of whom we know on a personal basis. The General Manager, Samir who is clearly a very skilled hotelier has always been extremely charming, efficient and very keen to spend time with guests and listening to their feedback. I certainly feel that he listens hard to the guests and has a real stake in the success of the hotel. The Reservations Manager Jirapong is always very communicative remotely via email and in person when we speak to him in resort, he listens to all our needs and responds promptly and efficiently. Then there is Waraporn, the Guest Experience Manager who requires no introduction and is the most quintessential example of Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket charm. Every year, meeting Waraporn is an event in itself of unrivalled happiness. So to speak about the day-to-day staff. There are the truly beautiful smiley girls working seamlessly as a team at either the Horizon Lounge or Casuarina Beach restaurant including Orawan (G), Thipsuda, First, Jamaree and Pum Pui. Up in the Horizon Lounge the evening bursts into life by the wonderful singing of Dhonna Quinto Campos and her colleague. It is Dhonna's singing that make the lovely evenings come alive and so much more special with her wide ranging singing catalogue which she tailors to the guests. The Dusit would simply not be the Dusit at all without Dhonna. We have breakfast and afternoon tea in La Trattoria and these are made special by Pui, Ew, Paula, Mod, Kanika and this year the beautiful new young lady Poi who walked around with elegance. They collectively always greet us like old friends with their happy smiles and perfect service. They even remember to ensure our tea pots have 2 bags and that fresh mango is in plentiful supply! We were very saddened indeed this year to learn of the departure of our friend of 13 years Supaporn Panan (Susie) and must say that over those years she has simply been the most lovely most pleasant member of staff that we have had the privilege to call a friend. Best of luck and all our love in the world to you and your beautiful young family our good friend. Additionally, the very skilled Russian speaking gentleman Ilya also departed when we were in resort, this was also very saddening as he was always someone we could rely on to help us should we require assistance. We love to return to the Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket and that is in the main due to the wonderful loving staff which we are happy to call friends. All our love as always xxxx

Excellent family stay at Dusit Thani We stayed at Dusit Thani with our family—four adults and two children under two years old—for 8 nights from March 9 to March 17, 2026. We had two Deluxe King Bed Rooms and overall had a wonderful experience. The hotel is absolutely recommendable. Architecture and landscaping are spectacular and beautifully reflect Thailand’s nature and traditions. Location is excellent, only about 5 minutes by taxi from Boat Avenue, Porto Phuket, and the Friday Night Market, which made it very convenient to explore the area. Beach access is fantastic, with direct access from the pool to a calm sea suitable for swimming. There are plenty of sun loungers available. The swimming pool is very family-friendly and easy to access for small children. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff throughout the hotel were attentive, professional, and very welcoming. The common areas were always well maintained and spotless. The Spa stands out for its comfort, hygiene, and high quality of service. Breakfast was excellent, with a very complete and well-presented selection. A few areas for improvement:The pool floor could use maintenance, as some areas are slightly rough. The underwater steps could also be more clearly marked. Poolside food service could improve, as waiter presence was limited and tables were not always cleared promptly. Trash bins would also be helpful. The children’s playroom is quite small and could benefit from modernization. In the rooms, it would be helpful to review the air-conditioning regulation, add blackout curtains to block early morning sunlight, and improve the quality of the bed sheets. Air-conditioning airflow in some common areas could also be improved. Finally, the airport transfer service arranged from the airport to the hotel was punctual and very well organized. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would gladly return.

Comfortable beach resort with excellent service provided by nice, friendly staff. Wonderful clean beach, maby high quality restaurants, everything working well

A wonderful stay as usual thanks to the friendly and welcoming staff. We had a lovely room facing the lagoon and the mountains. We love Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket and return every year for a couple of weeks to escape the Swedish winter. The General Manager Samir and his staff take such good care of us, making our stay memorable and perfect. We want to thank you all for your kind and excellent service, your great hospitality and care. We can highly recommend Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, our home away from home, and we hope to be able to return next year. Gunilla and Kjell
