Stayed at InterContinental Phuket with a group of friends over the long Thai public holiday, as Club Lounge guests. We got an upgrade to an ocean-view room, with an absolutely beautiful view. It was rainy season, so the sea was a little rough and we had a night of rain—but somehow, it was still a getaway perfect for unwind, made even better by the excellent service throughout. The Club Lounge was quite crowded, but the team handled it remarkably well and consistently provided warm, attentive service. A special mention to Khun Honey, whose genuine and authentic hospitality really stood out. She created such a natural human connection and made us feel truly welcome. Breakfast at the main restaurant was also understandably busy, but the staff greeted us with bright smiles and continued to provide excellent service despite the crowds. The location can be a bot farther away from other touristy attractions on the island but if you’re looking for a secluded getaway, it is just perfect. Overall, a wonderful and relaxing stay. We’ll definitely be back.

The service was outstanding. The bed was so comfortable that it was hard to get out of it! I also loved the long vanity counter in the bathroom, which provided plenty of space for my makeup and personal things.

We booked a 6-day family holiday expecting luxury, but this hotel was a complete disaster from start to finish. • Filthy Rooms: We checked into a room that clearly hadn't been cleaned. We found leftover opened milk in the fridge, dried contact lenses on the nightstand, and used slippers in the wardrobe. • Incompetent Service: Basic requests were ignored or botched. An extra bed promised in the afternoon was completely forgotten by night. When we asked for adult shower gel, housekeeping left children's shampoo at our door. • Rude Butler & Ruined Plans: Our assigned butler completely messed up our itinerary (spa and kids' activities) due to severe miscommunication, sending our kids on a stressful wild goose chase. When I tried to clarify the situation, the butler literally held a hand up to my face to stop me from speaking. • Poor F&B Service: Severe language barriers meant we received the wrong breakfast orders daily. It took over 20 minutes and asking multiple staff members just to get basic children's cutlery. Save your money. This is NOT a 6-star hotel. Instead of relaxing, we spent our holiday managing stressed kids and chasing staff to do their basic jobs. Avoid!
