Wow, what a stay. The staff we encountered were absolutely amazing and definitely made our stay memorable, especially the bar and restaurant staff. The villa #109, we had a two bedroom, but there were only two of us, so one bedroom was locked off. We were right at the beach but the villa had double glazing, so didn't hear the waves, which I love to hear. It was an amazing space, but definitely needed a lot of TLC, especially the pool and spa which had mould growing in both. The master ensuite needed a bit of attention, along with kitchen bar stools and dining room. I found it expensive for the quality of the villa. We were in Monsoon season, mid June, but had fantastic weather, so very lucky. We unfortunately were the only patrons at the bar and restaurant and had wonderful service from staff, so definitely very spoilt. Our favourite cocktail was Monkey Mountain, if you like whiskey, you need to try it. Pentor looked after us very well and even set us a table right near the beach so we could watch the sunset. I would also like to mention, he went well certainly looked after a guest who had a birthday and got a cake for her, outstanding service. The other staff I would like to mention, and I do hope the below mentioned get well rewarded as they certainly deserved it, four oustanding service are: Pupe - restaurant Nan - bar Beam - bar Por - bar Hilda - restaurant Pentor - Bar Manager big boss If I need to mention these people on another site, please let me know. All in all, we had a fantastic stay.

The most amazing place to stay. Very quiet, sometimes we were the only guests at the bar and restaurant which was nice. The villas are very spacious with everything you could possibly need. We had a 1 bedroom villa with our own private pool. The beach is a few steps away and I can honestly say the beach is by far the best in Phuket. Very safe to swim during our stay. The staff (Restaurant, Bar, Reception, Gardeners and room cleaners) are all very friendly and helpful and eager to please you with any request. We had breakfast in our villa which was deliver each morning. Dinner was served in the restaurant with many dishes to choose from the varied menu. We will absolutely consider returning for another stay.

Our stay at Maikhao Dream Villa Resort & Spa was a mix of truly memorable moments and a few noticeable drawbacks. The biggest highlight of the hotel is definitely its villas. They are incredibly spacious, beautifully designed in a traditional Thai style, and offer a high level of privacy. Each villa comes with a private pool, terrace, and generous living areas, making it a perfect choice for families or those looking for a peaceful retreat. The beds are very comfortable, and the overall atmosphere feels luxurious and relaxing.  The location is another strong advantage. The hotel is situated on Mai Khao Beach, which is quiet, natural, and far from the crowds. It’s an ideal place if you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy nature. The proximity to the airport (around 15–20 minutes) is also very convenient.  The staff deserves special mention — they are friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which adds a lot to the overall experience. Breakfast is good, and the service throughout the stay is generally excellent.

Excellent service – everything was absolutely beautiful. I received my marriage proposal here. The staff organized everything perfectly, with a table set up before sunset and an excellent five-course menu. It was a truly wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

We recently stayed here because the hotel is close to the airport, and the room was very spacious, which we appreciated. However, on our first day, I slipped at the swimming pool because the area had not been cleaned and there were many leaves around. The pool looked quite run-down, and the jacuzzi didn’t work at all — there was barely any water inside. In the evening, we also couldn’t find the switch for the pool lights. After trying to look for it ourselves, we reported it to the front desk. A technician came and turned on the control system for us, but we were confused why such basic facilities were not maintained or checked regularly. Both the pool area and the electrical system clearly needed proper staff attention, but it seemed they had been heavily neglected. The hotel apologized and kindly offered us the option to order any breakfast menu, which we appreciated. I would also like to compliment Nong Tai, the housekeeping staff, who was very attentive and responsive. When we reported the slippery pool surface, she ensured the problem was fixed right away. However, the technician seemed to forget to inform the responsible department to close the gate leading to the beach. Both times he came to repair the issues, the gate remained open, which startled us since our room is located right next to the road. During our second and third nights, the water system stopped working from around 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. We had to contact the front desk again, and fortunately, the issue was resolved. One more thing and hard understand for me about my baggage to room I would like to mention is that the luggage cart and the cart used for transporting plants should not be the same. It is more hygienic and appropriate to keep them separate
