The Naka Island Resort & Spa

We stayed at The Naka Island Phuket from March 20th to 28th with our two boys (5 and 7), and I can honestly say this was the best family holiday we have ever had. Coming from Dubai, especially given the current situation in the Middle East, this trip meant a lot to us - and from the very first moment, the team at Naka Island made an exceptional experience of our entire trip. Arriving at Naka was super easy; the speedboat transfer is smooth, well-organized, and sets the tone for what’s to come. From there on, every single interaction throughout our stay was simply outstanding. The level of hospitality and friendliness across the entire resort is something we have rarely experienced. What truly makes this place special is the people though. A special thank you to the breakfast team - Finn and the crew - who made every morning a great start to the day. The evening team, especially Ohm and his colleagues, created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere every night. Last but not least, the team at the Rum Chapel kept us perfectly looked after throughout the day with great drinks and service (who says no to a ice-cold Chang at 11am?). But what stood out the most for us as a family was the way the team interacted with our kids. Dome and his team at the kids club are simply exceptional. The care, energy, and genuine connection they built with our boys was incredible. Our 5-year-old still talks about Dome and wants to move to Naka Island and become a magician - there’s probably no better feedback than that. All in all, this wasn’t just a holiday; it was a truly special experience for us as a family. The combination of the beautiful island and above all, the incredible team made this stay unforgettable. I normally don’t write reviews, but this one is more than deserved. Thank you to the entire Naka Island team for everything you’ve done for us. Wow, what to say about this resort. One of the best, if not the best, we’ve ever stayed at. The service stands out - we had simply outstanding services from our butler Ploi, Cookie and Thanya at Aiyara Restaurant, Charles, Payu and Masaya at ZBar, Bank at Rum Chapel, Finn at breakfast, Liang who took us birdwatching, and Sunny and Melanie at other various times. The staff are delightful and in our short stay of two nights we felt we really got to know many of them. Nils, the GM, and his team also took the time to meet us at their Friday evening Bonvoy Appreciation evening. We were able to redeem a Nightly Upgrade Award for an upgrade to a stunning Seaview Villa, from the very basic room we booked. It’s hard to fault anything. The villa was wonderful - very nicely done and (we believe) newly renovated. The location is idyllic. And the food was outstanding - we particularly enjoyed breakfast (with Mimosas!) and our dinner at Aiyara, which had really authentic, but still innovative Thai food. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. We really hope to come back one day.

We had a truly wonderful two-night stay on Naka Island. It’s very convenient to reach the island, with just a short five-minute boat ride. The scenery is beautiful, the gym is well-equipped, and the Spa services are highly professional. We also enjoyed dining at different restaurants on the island, and every meal was delicious. On the day we arrived, Liam gave us a very warm welcome and when we encountered a few issues during check-in, he was proactive and efficient in helping us resolve them, which we truly appreciated. I would especially like to thank Emmy and the entire breakfast team at Veranda for making our stay even more enjoyable. When Emmy learned that I was on a pregnancy vacation, she showed exceptional care to my well-being, and she provided me with a lot of emotional support throughout our stay. It was an unforgettable experience, and we would highly recommend this resort.

Our stay at The Naka Island Resort & Spa was honestly one of the most memorable hotel experiences we have ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything felt smooth, warm, and genuinely welcoming. Arriving by boat already made the trip feel special, and that feeling only grew once we were shown to our ocean view villa. Waking up to that view every morning felt unreal. The villa was spacious, private, and peaceful in a way that makes it very hard to leave the room. We kept saying we wished we had booked a longer stay. Each morning started with breakfast, which quickly became something we looked forward to every day. Mai and Boom greeted us with such kindness and energy that it set the tone for the whole morning, and Finn was always nearby making sure everything was perfect whether we were at breakfast or later hanging out at Rum Chapel. The food selection was incredible and consistently fresh and delicious. Our curator Peachy truly made the biggest difference throughout the stay. She went above and beyond in ways that felt personal and thoughtful, always checking in and making sure we had everything we needed before we even realized we needed it. Having someone who genuinely cares about your experience makes a huge impact and she made the trip feel effortless. Rum Chapel quickly became our family’s favorite place to relax, and a big part of that was Noom. From day one he won us over with his charisma and genuine happiness. He made us feel like regulars right away and his positive energy made every visit there feel fun and easy. We also loved joining activities during the stay, especially bird watching and kayaking with Rock, who made the experiences engaging and memorable. Even our dinners stood out, especially at Aiyara where Brian helped create such a warm and enjoyable dining experience. The pool, the food across every restaurant, the villa, the service, and the people all came together to create a stay that felt special from beginning to end. We left with amazing memories and already hoping we can return one day.
