A Stay Defined by People Who Truly Care – Heartfelt Thanks to the Entire Team

This was our second visit to The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort, and once again, it was the people who made the experience memorable. Despite some renovation works, the service excellence across every team made this stay feel genuinely special. ⸻ 🌟 Exceptional Hospitality – A Consistent Culture of Care From the moment we arrived, it was clear the team operated with a shared mindset: genuine care, anticipation of needs, and thoughtful service recovery. It’s not just one individual doing well—every team member we interacted with tried to engage, help, and make our stay better. That consistency is rare and, to us, that’s what luxury is truly about. One big thank you goes to the management team—and especially the General Manager. The resort clearly has a strong culture of service. Every team member made the effort to engage with guests, anticipate needs, and show genuine care. Service recovery wasn’t a one-time gesture—it was consistent across departments and throughout the stay. One person delivering great service is nice, but when an entire team does it every day, across all touchpoints, that’s what defines true luxury. ⸻ 💬 Personal Highlights • Yeen at Rum Chapel gave us a warm welcome and even surprised us with a handwritten birthday card—a heartfelt personal touch. • Wit at Z Bar was incredibly thoughtful. When my friend was bitten by red ants, he immediately called the nurse and kept checking in on us. On the second evening, we had a lovely conversation—it’s clear he loves his job and takes real pride in guest happiness. Also, the Yuzu Twilight cocktail is amazing! • Pooh at Z Bar was highly engaged and kind. I appreciated how she sincerely thanked us for sharing feedback, saying it helps the team get better. • Zman, though not part of the spa team, helped me make a last-minute spa booking when the system was down and the spa was about to close. He continued to check in during breakfast daily, always with a kind attitude. • Melon, the housekeeping manager, and her team—especially Jame—took excellent care of our room and prepared a beautiful rose petal bath and room decorations that made our stay feel extra special. ⸻ 💆‍♀️ Spa – Impressive Recovery and Professionalism • Mah at the spa showed great professionalism and genuine empathy. She actively listened to our feedback and resolved the issue promptly, ensuring we had a relaxing and enjoyable spa experience. • June, our therapist, was exceptional. She delivered a fantastic massage and anticipated our needs throughout. She even noticed we had sunburns and arranged for the nurse to provide soothing cream—another example of great attention to detail. ⸻ 🛎️ Guest Services – Responsive and Dedicated We experienced AC issues in both rooms—one with no cooling, and the other with loud noise. The concierge and guest service team responded quickly, walked us through the resort to explain the situation, and provided recovery options. Their follow-up was consistent and professional. ⸻ ⏳ Room for Improvement • The resort is under renovation, and the main pool with the sea view was unfortunately closed. • Buggy wait times were occasionally long—on some days, over 20 minutes. • The breakfast venue has no air-conditioning, which made mornings uncomfortably hot. • The spa showers had inconsistent water pressure and temperature. • The steak dish would be better served on a hot plate; currently, it’s served cold with raw vegetables, causing the fat to harden quickly. • Village 58 had no AC in the bathroom and shower, which was difficult in this weather. We were moved to Village 59, which was better, but the AC noise remained an issue. ⸻ ❤️ Final Thoughts Despite these minor issues, we left with very positive memories—largely thanks to a team culture that prioritizes care, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality. Special thanks to Yeen, Wit, Pooh, Zman, Mah, June, Melon, Jame, and the entire concierge and guest service teams. We look forward to returning again—especially once renovations are complete.

Our stay at this property felt like being in paradise. We had a beautiful villa with sea view, which I would recommend. Our villa was very stylish and comfortable, we had lots of space and liked the design very much. Everything was very clean and tidy, even the garden area and the private pool were cleaned on a daily basis. There is nothing you would miss staying at this place, you can completely relax and enjoy the nature and your vacation. What made our stay truly unforgettable was the incredible staff, who went above and beyond at every opportunity to make us feel special and at home. There was no wish that the team didn’t try to fulfill for us. Here are some names of the amazing staff that we encountered and would like to thank for going above and beyond: Check-In and Check-Out: Irene and Joob Breakfast team: Jhos, Emmy, Bua, Pleng, Who, Margie, Boom, Alora, Noey, Ben, Pond, Pom, Chef Andrew (thank you so much for the fresh Mangosteen Mr. Pom).
