We had a wonderful stay at The Racha. The location is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning beach and crystal-clear water. What really made our stay special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and always smiling. Their warm hospitality made us feel very welcome. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Thailand. We would happily come back! 🌴

For the view and room, it is great. For the services, the man who manage our check-in was very nice and friendly, but the woman who manage our check out, was somehow rude and very in a friendly manner.

The transport to the Island is very unpleasant, shaky old buss no AC to the pier, then clamber on to a speedboat, very unsafe boarding not suitable for the older or infirm. Now you are in a plastic greenhouse cooking in the sun, you get some relief from the heat when the boat takes off but you are deafened by the 3 outboard motors running flat out all the time. As you bounce and crash from one wave to the next and your back is destroyed you have little time to enjoy the view, just hold on and pray. Arrival at the island is like an episode of wipeout. A floating plastic walk way that looks like lego is your next task. It twists and rolls with the waves and is very instable underfoot, only 100m walk to the beach at midday, in the sun with UV index at Max, if you don't fall in of course. You are welcomed with some small amount of unpleasant liquid and eventually guided to your room. We had the Junior pool suite. this was very good, apart from very limited storage or cupboard space for clothes. best to only bring a bikini. Single toilet was disappointing, a Japanese one with washing and drying functions which are not effective, better to have the standard thai bum gun. Only a fixed head in the shower, no extra nozzle. The service at breakfast and in the evening was hit and miss, some people had a clue, many did not, a fan of faulty towers would recognise the standard. Food was mostly mediokre, some unpleasant. did not find anything that was good. The beach is nice, water seems clean, very little to see if you like snorkelling, some rocks with a few fish, nothing special, but we did see 2 small sea snakes hunting little fish. The bar was ok, service, ok, but the beer is served without any stubby holder or flask. any bar in Thailand serves bottles of beer in a thermal holder of one type or another to stop it getting warm too quickly. But not the Racha. you better drink fast. The trip back to the pier was even worse than the journey there. We are both still suffering from back and neck pain weeks after. I found nothing to justify the price of the hotel with it's rusty light fittings and 200baht beer. We will not return. They have confused luxury with Expensive.

All is fantastic nice staff and surroundings are amazing White sand beach that never gets hot. But use lots of sun products because it's hot.

I would have loved to give The Racha my highest ratings. It’s a beautiful and generally well run luxury hotel with a great ambience. However, a five-star denomination comes with some expectations. First of all, I would expect that someone receives and, if needed, responds to urgent messages from guests outside normal business hours. Our flight to Thailand was delayed, meaning that we could not get to Koh Racha when we arrived in the evening. I sent a message to the Koh Racha reservation manager as soon as I learned about the delay, but no one responded (given the time difference to Europe), meaning that our pick up from Phuket wasn’t cancelled - and we were charged for this. The cost is less important, but my impression was that the staff at The Racha reservations office was off compared to the service I experience from similar hotels. Moreover, be mindful that you will be charged for slippers and beach bags if you decide to bring them home with you. These are the kind of souvenirs I like to bring, and they would usually be complementary at other five-star hotels, who consider them part of their branding and promotion. Other than that, the hotel is beautiful and the service was great.
