The Racha

This hotel is one of those places that we people call "Paradise". It is an incredibly beautiful resort, both in its natural surroundings and its design, featuring one of the best beaches in the world (with no waves during the high season), as well as superb service and hospitality. This was already our second stay at the hotel. We stayed long enough to fully appreciate the entire facilities, the variety of services, and the staff's approach — everything is at the highest level! Food and beverages are just excellent at every hotel’s restaurant. The villas are well-equipped ans well ans clean, and it was lovely to see that they are being improved and updated throughout the year. I think it shows a real attention of management at the resort. From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank the General Manager Mr Devan, and the entire management team, as well as the staff from the restaurants, guest services, spa, gardeners, and the invited yoga teacher - for your care, bonuses, fulfilling all our requests, and creating a magnificent resort atmosphere 🙏🏼 Mr. YuYi, Teresa, Bakku, Su, Safhan, Sky, Nooknik, Am — thank you to all these talented restaurant employees for your daily professionalism, warmth and smiles! A special greeting and thanks to my diving instructor Warodom and his colleagues, Oh and Ball. The hotel has an excellent professional diving center, we did diving with each of the instructors and also took a trip to Phi Phi — everything was perfectly organized! Racha Island itself is surrounded by beautiful coral gardens and reefs; we saw many fish and turtles. During the low season, the hotel organizes a daily three-time shuttle to other beaches without waves, which we found fantastic! The snorkeling on the island is amazing and surely worth using this service kindly proposed by the hotel. We have just left, but we are already looking forward to returning to this beautiful place and its wonderful people! ♥️

I am writing this review because I genuinely wish no other young families get hurt from this. I strongly warn anyone considering The Racha to book elsewhere if you are traveling with children. This property is entirely unsuited for young guests, and the management's handling of a severe medical emergency was completely unacceptable. During my friends’ stay, their young child slipped near the swimming pool. Because the pool edge lacks proper non-slip safety features and has a dangerously sharp, un-rounded edge, a simple slip turned into a severe open and DEEP laceration that required surgery and stitches under general anesthesia. While accidents can happen anywhere, the staff's reaction was appalling. They demonstrated zero 'duty of care.' Management offered no first aid, no empathy, and no logistical assistance for the medical emergency. Shockingly, instead of helping a terrified and severely bleeding child, their priority was to try and pressure us into paying unjustified and exorbitant 'fees' on the spot. A true 5-star resort prioritizes guest safety and basic human decency. The Racha provided neither. If you are planning a family trip, please protect your children, take this warning seriously, and avoid this hotel.

This was our second visit after a far too long intervening 11 years. Time had not affected our memories and the resort was as wonderful as we remembered. Despite the 11 years it was so nice to be welcomed back by so many of the team. While the design, grounds and beach are stunning, it really is the team who make it special. They are all so professional while warm and friendly. They clearly enjoy their jobs and it shows. We are already planning our next trip and far sooner than 11 years.

An exceptional luxury resort with beautifully maintained facilities and outstanding personalised service. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making our stay truly memorable. A special thank you to Ms. Cherrise and her team (Anton, Waen, Nins, Green, and Nina), as well as Khun Oh and Bow for their exceptional hospitality. Their kindness, professionalism, and thoughtful service made us feel truly valued. It was the little personal touches that made all the difference. Highly recommended!
