Rosewood Phuket

My husband & I stayed at the Rosewood Phuket for a few days on our honeymoon. Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy & rainy for our whole stay, so we didn't get quite the experience we were hoping for. However, the hotel was beautiful, clean, comfortable & relaxing. We especially loved the breakfast and the food at Ta Khai, which was above & beyond what I expect from hotel food, even at a 5-star resort like this. The staff was friendly, helpful, & welcoming. I especially want to give a shoutout to Fern, who works at the reception desk, and Chef Mel, who hosted our private cooking class. She was well-prepared, thorough, & a great teacher of her craft. The one drawback to this hotel is its location. It's about 1.5 hours from the airport. If you're hoping to have a night out in the main downtown area of Phuket during your stay here, be prepared for a long ride both ways.

This is our third visit to Rosewood Phuket, and I can honestly say I have zero complaints. This property continues to exceed my expectations every single time we arrive. Whether we are the ones getting married or simply attending as guests, the service is consistently world-class. One of our previous stays was for our own destination wedding at the resort. A massive shoutout to Khun Tokyo, our butler, who took incredible care of us and our families throughout that weekend. Our families with young children also enjoyed the kids club with nanny service (I have to say, this was one of the reasons we chose Rosewood for our stay. With the nanny service, the kids got to have fun with supervision and our family members got to relax for a bit too without having to look after the kids during that time). We also have to thank Khun Jah, who was the most thorough and considerate wedding coordinator we could have asked for. She and the rest of RWPKT team made our big day effortless. We returned this year to celebrate our first year anniversary. Again, it was a perfect weekend. From the villa, in room dining, the pool, to the spa, we enjoyed everything during our stay and the team still exceeded our expectations. E.g. surprising us with a flower bath after evening turndown service. The massage treatments are quite pricey but the therapists ARE really that good. This time, we came to celebrate a good friend’s wedding. Even though we were on the sidelines as guests this time, the service was just as attentive and personalized as when we were the bride and groom. The team at Red Sauce also deserves special praise. The food is absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the semi-buffet breakfast every morning, and visited for dinner multiple times, where Khun Anya and the team never failed to make every interaction feel special and distinct. It is this level of warmth and recognition that makes our stays here so memorable. To the entire Rosewood Phuket team: you are absolutely amazing! Thank you for maintaining such top-class service year after year. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Hope to be back soon.

Rosewood Phuket is an exceptional resort that impresses from the moment you arrive. The architecture is extraordinary, thoughtful, refined and executed with a level of detail that feels genuinely special. The villas are huge, beautifully designed and each has a private pool that makes everything feel calm and indulgent. The service is exceptional, warm, attentive and incredibly intuitive. A special thank you to Nan, our butler, who looked after us throughout the stay and truly made the experience memorable. The food is another major strength. Every restaurant is excellent, with Red Sauce standing out under its talented Italian chef, Luigi Troise. And Ta Khai is simply one of the best Thai restaurants I have tried in the entire country, authentic, atmospheric and unforgettable. The surroundings, however, are not great. Patong area is heavily influenced by mass tourism: hundreds of bars, scams around every corner and shopping malls everywhere. The beach unfortunately is not particularly beautiful and the view is nothing special, but to be fair the weather was bad, so perhaps it looks better under the sun. At times you can hear music drifting in from nearby venues. Despite this, the moment you step inside, the outside world disappears. The resort’s precision, taste and exceptional service create an atmosphere that feels almost unreal, calm, beautiful and truly over the top. Rosewood Phuket isn’t just a hotel; it’s an experience of its own and a rare benchmark for what hospitality can be.

This was our first time visiting Phuket as a family, and our travel agency suggested staying at Rosewood. Honestly, it turned out to be the best decision ever. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous — surrounded by this lush, tropical forest that feels like a dream. The rooms are beautiful too, full of little details and so tastefully done, just like other Rosewoods we’ve stayed at. We loved the location — close enough to town when we wanted to go out, but totally peaceful and quiet once you’re back at the resort. It really feels like you’re far away from everything. Breakfast was amazing. So many options, delicious food, and the staff just couldn’t be nicer. Everyone made us feel like royalty. A special shout-out to Bua, who was incredible. She greeted us by name at breakfast (how often does that happen?), remembered we had mentioned some noise from the next room the day before, and was super kind and attentive the whole time. She even sent us restaurant recommendations on WhatsApp and came to the lobby to say goodbye when we were leaving. We honestly didn’t want to check out. It was such a perfect stay — warm people, beautiful place, and just pure peace. Definitely one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at.

WOW! This was one of the best trips of the year! We were warmly welcomed by friendly and helpful staff, especially our butler, Tokyo. He helped organized activities within the hotel that we were interested in and he was the best butler we've ever had. I am still thinking about the experiences to this day. Khun Tokyo additionally delivered solutions to some complications. The breakfast was truly other-worldly, sophisticated, and energizing. The room was great and the experience was truly lovely.
