The Slate

This was our second time staying at the Slate, a wonderful Phuket resort, and once again, it did not disappoint. We booked the Pearl Bed Suite for 2 nights. The room has a large balcony, and was spacious, impeccably clean, beautifully decorated and most important very comfortable. The resort has a very relaxing atmosphere, with three swimming pools —including two dedicated adults-only pools one of which also has a swim up bar. There was promotion to buy 1-get-1 free drinks at the bar from 2pm to 4pm during our stay. We chose the Slate again because we loved their buffet breakfast which offered a fantastic, wide variety of food to start the day. Hospitality was another reason, the staff were very welcoming and always had a smile on their face. We were very satisfied with every aspect of the hotel. A special thank to Bee at the front office for arranging a room for us to shower after we enjoyed the use of the swimming pools after check-out and before heading to the airport. We deeply appreciated this caring and attentive service.

Great location and great service

As a family we are very fortunate we get to travel far and wide regularly. Until now, we have never stayed at the same property on the occasion where we may make a return visit to the same area. The Slate, Nai Yang Phuket is that exception. Both visits we have been thoroughly impressed with the property, ammenities and most notably the staff and level of attentive service. Truly exceptional. The property itself is gorgeous - rooms are very comfortable, beds are the best. Outlook and ambience is very sleek, yet totally relaxing. Nai Yang is less touristy which works for us. You walk out the rear entrance directly across the road to the beach where you have that Thai relaxed feel with street vendors extending their hospitality onto the beach under the shad of the palms. A great way to experience the beautiful Thai cuisine, cold beer at cheap rates. A special shout out this trip to our personal butler, Tedy who was fantastic. Nothing was any trouble and his whatsapp response time was super quick and efficient. The staff from the breakfasts buffet, front reception staff, housekeeping and kids club - all were super attentive, happy and engaging. Thankyou to the Slate. An awesome, truly 5 star stay.
