Thavorn Palm Beach Resort

This is a true review. On arriving at the hotel we received a lovely welcome from all staff. Hotel seemed beautiful, and we were given our guest sheet and map. Porter took us to our room. Room overlooked the pools and beach. A large queen bed that is described as a double deluxe room with balcony. The shower was hot and clear water. A cleanish room and bathroom with toiletries left, incl toothbrush and tooth picks. There's a fridge, drinks, wine, spirits and snacks left with a list of prices. Water is left free each day. Food is of a excellence in all eating places. Restaurant staff are also of an excellence. The gardens, omg, absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Beach is across a busy road, however, you have a guard who stops the traffic for you. Trips are a must and we booked through the hotel for safety and a receipt is given that you pass to the bus driver who takes you to these beautiful places. The cleaners are there early every day, you can put your do not disturb on the door. All in all, we were enjoying our beautiful holiday, then, we notice later on that we were being charged where we shouldn't be charged. Now here's the constructive criticism, and it was rectified by the hotel, but only on the instructions of TUI as we had to contact them, as the hotel reception staff and Mia the desk manager was not compliant with our concerns. but this should not have happened, and corrected only on the day of leaving, which really mared our holiday. Alis Manager, was very apologetic, but states she was not informed by Mia and that Mia closed our case. I am positive that Alis has now rectified and these mistakes will not happen again to guests', and training was to be given to staff, again. On that, I am sure the hotel will be beautiful for other guest who will arrive. Reason for complaints. Food was being charged at the splash bar when we were all inclusive, and that bar was on the list we were given. Food Ciao Pizza was not on the list, but that food was free. We were told by Alis that they have many All Inclusive packages! Now that was where we saw why mistakes were happening. We were given a red band to wear, no other guest we saw with a red band, felt as if we had medical emergencies att to us. A drinks employee also entered our room, replaced drinks, took a photo of the receipt and drinks, whilst our do not disturb sign was on the door, the curtains were shut, and we were half asleep, it was the mobile phone light that highlighted her. A cleaner forgot towels on one day but took the dirty. In all of this, the hotel promised they would make changes, but it was too late for us, and if we hadn't had noticed we were being charged at the latter of the holiday, then a bill of £200 extra on that bill, yet we paid £3000 for the hotel for 10days. I thank Alis and the 'good' staff of this hotel for your kindness and sweet approach to your guests'. May I also add to guest, the area of Phuket is naturally damp, remember it was an island of rain forest, and has it's monsoons, so naturally the rooms and paint will be damp and constantly painted, as we noted whilst being there. If a room is free they will paint it. You will therefore note there is damp marks at times on walls. The damp curtains to the bathroom windows should be gone, put mirror backings on windows. The sewers will smell when it's raining, there is no way that can be rectified on this island.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing family stay at Thavorn Resort, Karon Beach! We had a wonderful stay at Thavorn Resort, Karon Beach, and it was one of the highlights of our Phuket trip. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature with stunning views and great family-friendly facilities. The best part was seeing how much our daughter enjoyed herself — she absolutely loved the activities, the animal area, and exploring the resort. It made our family holiday extra special seeing her so happy. A special thank you to Sak and Pond, who were incredibly kind, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their warm hospitality made us feel truly welcomed and taken care of throughout our stay. The staff, ambience, and overall experience were excellent. We made lovely memories here and would highly recommend Thavorn Resort to families visiting Phuket, especially if traveling with kids. Thank you for such a memorable stay! We would love to come back again.

Thavorn is a beautiful, well maintained, hygienic and accessible resort with a variety of activities. As a family, we loved Kids Club and the pool, but our highlight was the smiling faces and accomodating nature of every single staff member on site. From morning breakfast to late night lobby hellos. Eddie greeted us with warmth every single day, offering help and insights into the city. He interacted warmly with my 3yr old and ensured he answered all questions. We loved our stay and will be recommending this resort as a wonderful place to stay in Phuket.

We are a family of 5 — 4 adults and a 9-year-old — and our stay at Thavorn Palm Beach Resort from 8–12 May was nothing short of magical. This review comes straight from the heart. ⭐ THE STAFF — THE REAL STARS A holiday is only as good as the people who make it happen, and Thavorn has some absolute gems. Sak, Ploy, Dear and Chicken — you made our family feel so welcomed and special from day one. Your warmth, your smiles and your genuine care made all the difference. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are the soul of this resort. 🍳 BREAKFAST BUFFET Where do we even begin! The breakfast buffet at Ocean Rhyme was simply outstanding — an incredible spread of Thai, Western, Asian and so much more. Fresh, varied, and absolutely delicious every single morning. We looked forward to it each day. Easily one of the best hotel breakfasts we have had anywhere. 🏊 THE POOLS The pools are nothing short of marvellous. Four beautiful pools, each with its own character. The Blue Heaven pool with the giant four-storey waterslides had our little one absolutely beaming with joy — he did not want to leave! The slides are brilliant fun for kids and adults alike. The swim-up bar was the perfect touch for the grown-ups 🍹 🏖️ BEACH TOWELS AND BEACH BAG We loved the thoughtful touch of beach towels and a beach bag provided by the resort — such a practical and generous gesture that made our beach trips so much easier. Little things like this show how much Thavorn cares about its guests. 🐢 THE PETTING ZOO Our child absolutely loved the petting zoo — the tortoises roaming freely in the gardens, the rabbits, the animals — it was a daily highlight for the little one. A truly unique feature that sets Thavorn apart from any other resort we have stayed at. 🛏️ THE ROOMS Spacious, well-appointed and comfortable — the rooms were a lovely retreat after a day of fun. Big, clean and with everything you need for a relaxing family holiday. Thavorn Palm Beach Resort is not just a hotel — it is an experience. We will be back, and we will be bringing more family and friends. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Thavorn family for giving us memories that will last a lifetime.
