Guests are personally escorted to their rooms while wandering past lotus ponds, lush exotic plants and a variety of wildlife that all make the 25 acres of landscaped grounds a tropical paradise. Designed in Thai décor, the rooms have contemporary teakwood furnishings with private balconies or patios looking out across verdant gardens or the Andaman Sea. Nice place with a good spot on Karon beach. Nice pool area, good access to beach, not overcrowded, food is good, breakfast buffet was excellent.

Hard to understand the raving reviews. The hotel is old, and pretty poorly maintained with large chunks of paint coming out, outside of a few renovated areas. Renovations are ongoing btw, with works in two wings of the hotel. Check in was messy, starting from the fact that the staff insists to see a copy of the reservation confirmation - it's 2025, why? We were given connecting rooms of which only one of the two was ready at the 3pm check in time, the other one had an unspecified issue. The key to the second room was never brought to us, despite having to leave email and mobile number at check in. We had to go check when it was ready - couldn't just leave it in the other room? Rooms are old, the ground floor smells of sewage, cleaning is approximate, bathrooms are basic. The food at the pool bar was awful, and had to be consumed while birds tried to steal it from our plates. Breakfast food was just about ok while not being good. The pool is ok and the slides are fun for the kids. That's about the only good thing about this place. The garden is cute, shame for the ditch crossing it. You have to cross a road to go to the beach. We left after one day. Advice - much better places around for half the price, yeah this hotel ain't cheap either.

We arrived in HKT airport to our transport not being available until 20 mins later, 1.5 hours after we landed, even though our flight information was sent days in advance we were still made to wait in the heat with our baby. Waiting, this will be the theme of this holiday as I’ll explain in more detail. On arrival to the hotel (10.20pm) we were told the room we booked direct with the hotel and confirmed high floor, cot and quiet area via email with the hotel was not available, however we had been ‘upgraded’ to a garden room. We specifically didn’t book anything on the ground floor due to our son starting to walk and not wanting to impose any danger, tired and hungry we checked the room out anyway but were met with a foul smelling room with bugs and broken lights, we promptly returned to reception and said we could not stay in this room and requested what we booked. The on duty manager spent the following hour trying to find a room that was available and informed us, “on the website people can book but the room is sometimes not available and we deal with it when the guest arrives” what a professional method ! The second room we were shown was again dirty and had electrical sockets hanging off the wall with wires exposed, the third room was a terrace room similar to what we had requested for but the sheets were stained, hair was all over the floor, there was a hole in the bathroom wall, grotty curtains hanging, coffee stains on the shelf, but was apparently the only option until the next day, and when the cot was brought for our baby to FINALLY sleep in (this was now 1.30am) it collapsed as it was broken from underneath! At this point we had been in the hotel for 3 hours without a safe and clean place to sleep even though check in is 3pm and we arrived 7 hours after this. The onsite manager (Take) stated there is no housekeeping to change the bedding and he will try to get another cot for the baby that isn’t broken. At this point our son was screaming he was exhausted as we all were and our carefully planned arrival to coincide with his sleep as not to ruin the next day was destroyed. At 2am another cot arrived this time with no bedding, and dirty netting however luckily I brought my own, and we could finally put our baby to sleep, the manager stated he would move our room the next day as this room is a downgrade and he agreed very dirty (I advised him we will expect options ready for us at 7am and we will not be waiting hours and hours again) to which he agreed and left. That night we were made to sleep in dirty sheets and be subject to loud music from a nearby club until 3.30am we finally got to sleep at 4am 6 hours after arriving in the hotel which is supposed to be 5 star only to be woken up at 8am from hammers and drills as the hotel is under renovation… a detail left out when booking l The next day we went to reception as we had not been contacted regarding our move and couldn’t relax or plan anything for our day. We were told “you have to wait until the afternoon when a guest checks out of the room” I was furious, the staff were fully informed what had happened the night before and the night manager we seen was even present but NOTHING had been arranged. We were told to “wait in our room to be contacted” we come to Thailand to wait in our room to be given a safe space to sleep because the hotel messed up ? How is this possible. Our son needed to nap so we ensured he napped and again visited reception this time is was 1pm nothing still arranged and we couldn’t do anything with our day until we were settled in a room we would be staying in!! It wasn’t until 3.30pm we were moved to another ground floor room but told there is nothing else (this was after constant visits to reception by myself and my husband) we were then told “you have this room for two nights then you’ll have to wait again to see where you can go” before proceeding to produce a document they wanted me to sign wavering any rights if there wasn’t a room available I was gobsmacked and felt so embarrassed for them to stoop to this level, never have I seen such unprofessional and disgusting treatment of paying customers who are at NO fault in this situation. We then had to wait a further 1 hour to have keys sent to the room and the coupons for half board we still had not received so by now it was 5pm and another day wasted of our holiday we hadn’t even stepped foot outside the hotel yet! The next day I visited reception advising them I needed to know what was happening with the room change the following day so that I can pack and plan accordingly, I spoke to Moo Elle and Shampur on countless occasions and no one could give me a straight answer, when will this holiday of relaxation start !! I advised them my son needs to nap at 11 so we will need to move before that time so that another day is not ruined by 10.30am on the day of our supposed move no one had contacted us as they promised, AGAIN we go to reception and are told we are waiting for guests to check out you have to just wait, I told them we had spent 3 nights in the hotel and have not had the chance to do anything as a family as all we have done is be anxious and WAIT! We had packed all our items and were ready to move at 7am as promised but again they couldn’t do the most basic of tasks (baring in mind the room type we were told we were moving to was still being sold on your website and here we were waiting for an answer, yet again!) At this point I couldn’t take any more and went to reception again, I was SO angry I was informed Moo and Elle were on their break, here I am sitting in my room with my husband and child waiting to be able to start our day and they have taken a break .. it was now 1pm !! I told them a manager needs to come to my room NOW! Around 20 minutes later another manager by the name of Alis came to the door with keys advising we could stay in the room that we had packed up with suitcases by the door ready to go until our check out date. I couldn’t believe it the sheer miss management and lack of customer awareness is shocking ! At this point it was 2.30pm, another day of the holiday destroyed and we began to unpack. The day before we left we were met with further incompetencies, even though we communicated by email a late check out, had visited reception to extend the keycards we still received a note under our door ensuring we are aware of the 12pm check out time… it’s like your staff don’t talk to each other! Never have I felt so unwelcome in a hotel, I have travelled the world for my job for the last 19 years staying in multiple hotels and sampling the customer service from every culture and hospitality level, but this hotel is by far the worst experience I have had. I am appalled saddened and so disappointed that this was our experience as a family, a holiday we had so longed for to be together (as we are not together a lot due to work) to be able to relax and reconnect, and it didn’t happen because of the sheer shambles of customer service we received. Each time I visited reception there was always another family complaining to the extent I am very wary of the other reviews on here as there seems to be a trend of negative experiences !

Great holiday! Amazing hotel & delish cocktails!! Ware & Max were excellent bartenders!!! All the staff were friendly & the gardens were next level!!! Definitely recommend 😁

We spent three nights as a Saudi couple and really enjoyed the resort’s beautiful location and facilities. Cleanliness was okay, but everything else made up for it. The pools, gardens, and beach access were lovely. Special thanks to Gif, who was always cheerful and made us feel truly welcome, and Jessy, who was very supportive and shared great local tips. Their kindness made our stay even better.
