Thavorn Palm Beach Resort

Had the most amazing week again over Christmas at this resort with my husband and 2 children (aged 14 & 11) It’s everything you could want for a family holiday, from gorgeous pools, swim up bar, waterpark, petting zoo! The hotel is spotless, food fantastic, and staff amazing!! Big shout out to JJ & A (pool bar!) for always having a smile, being chatty and welcoming each day! Also to Wan in the restaurant bar, shes a superstar too and even bought myself a gift as I complimented on her hair bow! The Christmas Eve party night was fantastic too! Over all we rate this 5 star and most definitely will be back again! Thank you Thavorn, you made our Christmas!

Thavorn Palm Beach Resort is absolutely one of the best 5 star resorts we stayed anywhere in the world. It is a large property spread across vast area, multiple swimming pools, restaurants and bars. You can have a very relaxed vacation here. Service quality is top notch. Food at their restaurant Ocean Rhyme is excellent for their Thai cuisine. The place appears to be very popular among families with small kids, which is not surprising given there is a petting zoo and water slide on the property. Access to beach is good, though there is a road between the resort and the beach. You could walk to nearby areas to find some shops and outside restaurants. We stayed in a two bedroom family suite - which was really spacious and well appointed.

Excellent hotel, clean rooms, very good breakfast and the stuff was very gentek and helpsom. Sam var great. One of the best resorts in Phuket with beautiful beach.

Just wow!! If I could give this resort more than a 5 star rating,I would. We are a family of four and as soon as we arrived from nearly a day of traveling, we were immediately met with warm and welcoming smiles ,cooling towels and refreshing drinks! Because we arrived early than check in time of 3pm,we were advised we could make use of the VIP lounge as we had booked direct. This lounge was heaven sent as it cooled us down and there was some light snacks and beverages to appease any hunger we felt. By 2pm our room was ready and then we were told our room was upgraded to connecting door rooms as we have 2 teenagers! Wow! The rooms itself was so clean and beautiful, the beds amazing! 2 bottles of water provided daily as well as refill of toiletries,if needed. The resort itself is amazing,we thoroughly enjoyed the slides and pools,including the swim up bar and the gardens are so beautiful and well maintained, such and experience just reading about the history rhe various things in the garden. At night the resort looks almost magical with all the string lights. We experienced the most amazing service from all the staff we encountered during our stay,each and everyone greeted us with a friendly smile! I needed 2 x number balloons for my daughter's 17th birthday and reception offered to call a shop in the area to assist us and have it delivered! The day of my daughter's birthday we came back from an outing to find that they had decorated the bed with Happy Birthday things, a card and even a slice of cake ! This blew us away ,really so thoughtful. Throughout our stay there was one person that was really standout and his name is Eddie. Each and every day he would greet us with the biggest smile and would check on our needs when we passed him in the lobby,he even knew exactly when we needed water! On our last day he even arrived with mangoes for us brought from his homeland! What a guy! The location is perfect right across the beach and a 5 minute walk to 7 11. It's perfect for families and not as busy as Patong or even further down in Karon. This was our first time at this resort and would definitely be back as well as recommend it to family and friends. I wish I could call out all the amazing staff but cannot remember all the names! Just know that they are all amazing,helpful and friendly, You cannot go wrong with this resort!!!

We stayed at Thavorn Palm Beach Resort for 4 days 3 nights with our family and kids. The room was spacious with a nice balcony view, which was also convenient for drying wet clothes. Basic toiletries are provided. One suggestion would be to replenish bottled water daily regardless of whether the previous bottles were consumed, as the amount provided was often not sufficient for daily consumption. The breakfast spread was excellent, offering a wide variety of greens, salads, fresh juices, as well as international, Asian, Indian, and vegetarian options. However, the coffee experience could be improved—having a barista for freshly made coffee instead of machine-made drinks would elevate the experience. Pros: Located in a quieter part of Phuket. Direct beach access with easy access to Karon Beach. Beautiful sunset views along the beach. Nearby food options and massage shops for guests who wish to venture out. Plenty of activities to keep kids entertained, including: Four swimming pools and a large water slide. Petting zoo and daily kids’ club activities. Cons: On the first day, we discovered that the room door could not be double-locked. Although the maintenance team attended to the issue, it remained unresolved after 30 minutes. We requested a room change, but the reception was initially reluctant despite other rooms being available. This could have been handled better, especially after a long journey from the airport when we wanted to head out for dinner instead of waiting. After switching rooms, we encountered additional issues: the balcony glass door could still be opened even after locking, and both the ceiling light and table lamp were not working. Maintenance had to be called again to resolve these problems. Rooms were clean, but the beds and furniture are showing signs of age and are quite squeaky. The bunk beds felt unstable, and we would not recommend sleeping on the top bunk. The bathroom lacks privacy for families, as the transparent toilet windows seem more suitable for couples than families with children. There were many mosquitoes in the room; improved pest control would be appreciated. The TV felt too small for such a large room, which affected the overall in-room experience. There is no nearby supermarket to easily grab snacks, food, or drinks. Overall, the experience felt more like a 4-star stay, with significant room for improvement, particularly in maintenance, privacy, and guest service.
