We had a fabulous experience at this resort. We were there to hike in the Dolomites, but the resort also took our breath away. Excellent service. Outstanding food. Fantastic spa area. I would highly recommend staying at this resort.

Perched high in the Dolomites, Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti is a beautiful, state-of-the-art property with an exceptional mountain setting. Its elevated position creates breathtaking panoramic views over the valley below, making it one of the resort’s greatest assets. The suites are spacious and elegantly appointed, featuring high-end wood finishes that create a warm alpine atmosphere. The bathrooms are equally well designed, with quality materials and excellent amenities. The shower pressure, however, could be improved. Air conditioning is preset to a limited temperature range, but the front desk is happy to adjust it upon request. Every balcony offers spectacular views overlooking the town and surrounding mountains. The spa is one of the highlights of the resort, offering an extensive treatment menu in an impressive wellness environment. I booked a facial, and the therapist was both highly skilled and genuinely welcoming, making for an excellent overall experience. The indoor and outdoor infinity pools are magnificent, opening directly onto the dramatic mountain scenery and creating a truly unforgettable setting. One of the property’s biggest shortcomings is its layout. It is an enormous resort, and the design appears to prioritize owners of the on-site residences, who enjoy direct access to the fitness center and spa. Hotel guests, on the other hand, must navigate what feels like a labyrinth, moving between multiple buildings and floors. It is surprisingly easy to lose your way, and this detracts from what is otherwise an outstanding resort. Dining is another mixed experience. The resort features both a Michelin one-star restaurant and a more casual venue with a varied menu. While the quality of the food is consistently good, the service falls well below the standard expected of a luxury property. Many of the staff members, particularly the hostesses, appeared inexperienced, and the level of hospitality simply does not match the resort’s premium positioning. In addition, pricing is very high relative to the portions and overall dining experience. The bar menu, however, offers excellent food at comparatively more reasonable prices and represents very good value. Overall, Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti is a remarkable luxury retreat with stunning architecture, exceptional wellness facilities, beautiful grounds, and awe-inspiring views. While improvements in navigation throughout the property and a stronger focus on service training would significantly enhance the guest experience, it remains a highly recommended destination for those seeking a refined mountain escape. Perhaps the resort’s greatest strength is its overall value proposition. Considering the nightly rates, the quality of the accommodations, the extensive spa facilities, the spectacular setting, and the overall experience, Lefay offers an outstanding return on investment. While iconic luxury brands such as Four Seasons and Mandarin Oriental undoubtedly deliver the pinnacle of luxury hospitality, they often command rates that are nearly double those of Lefay. Guests may forgo some of the polished, personalized service associated with those brands, but in terms of the property itself, the amenities, and the overall experience, Lefay represents one of the best values in the luxury mountain resort segment.

We stayed at Lefay for our mini moon a couple of days after getting married as we wanted something luxury and relaxing in the mountains and Lefay Dolomiti delivers on that in spades. The resort is secure with gates to even get to reception and you’re asked on arrival if someone calls for you if you’re happy for the hotel to acknowledge you are staying there. The spa spans three floors with the pool and family saunas on floor 1, floor 2 the main spas spaces with saunas and ice rooms and floor 3 treatment rooms. The spa staff were very helpful to us giving us great walks to do during our stay even highlighting them on a map (and we made sure to follow their recommendations.) The lounge has an extension drinks menu including mocktails and in the evening grabbing a drink with a view of heading up onto the mezzanine library as music played (it was live music on Saturday night too) was the ultimate relaxation. The hotel has 2 restaurants including 1 that is Michelin star which we didn’t actually visit but the restaurant we did go to was fantastic. The restaurant has a core menu, a daily menu and then a wellness menu where everything is vegetarian or vegan. The breakfast is one of the most impressive of any hotel I’ve ever been to - buffet for fruit, meats and cheeses and pastries and then made to order any combination of eggs and accompaniments you would like. All the fruit could be pressed into fresh juices too which were a delight. I watched daily as the chefs made things that weren’t on the menu, no ask is too big at breakfast. We also loved the more sociable time for breakfast with it ending at 11am which is nice when you’re heading somewhere to relax not having to wake up super early. I could go on and on but I wanted to round off by commenting on our room as it is without a doubt the nicest room we’ve ever stayed in. It was modern but also had a touch of the Italian/Austrian chalet feel, we had a shower and large free standing bath, double vanity and seperate toilet and bidet room. Our room had a large balcony with two chairs which was sunny until about 1pm. The room had a sitting area with TV that rotated in both the direction of the sitting area or the bed. The room has automatic curtains at the click of a button and many settings and switches to control atmosphere and lighting for whatever time of day or occasion. The cleanliness could not be faulted and we even had a pillow menu which we took up the offer of. After 3 nights we felt extra zen and our whoop and oura scores backed up the way we felt. For a special occasion or if you have the money to pay this much for relaxation - absolutely do it!

Great in all respects... beautiful location, good food, service with a broad smile, weather was 'hot' but still worth the experience.

I surprised my husband with a stay here for his birthday recently and we were absolutely blown away by how incredible this was. Although I had planned this trip for several months, the pictures of the location do not do it justice. From the moment you drive up, the views will leave you in awe and the quality of the staff is truly comparable. Each of the valets that greeted us was so helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable; thank you Ivan and Beleck (I hate that I can't recall all their names, but they were all fantastic)! At check in, we were greeted by Valentina who truly made our stay special. From the special tour of the facility and our room, to her genuine kindness and compassion, she truly reflects the high quality and care of this hotel. The spa and sauna are without a doubt one of the best we have experienced in our life and it will certainly leave you feeling incredibly refreshed and rejuvenated. As the spa areas are quite large, the staff is very courteous in helping understand all of the facilities and services. Iliseta and Katya were phenomenal at helping us, and the attendees were so kind and attentive (I can't recall the gentleman's name from Tanzania, but he was incredible). The great room has astounding views of the mountains and valley and we spent a lot of time at the bar there. Nicolo and Ivan not only made phenomenal drinks, but were also very kind. We ended up extending our stay and Alessandro went above and beyond in helping us with our options of extension and making our stay even more comfortable. Staying here was certainly the best part of our stay in Italy and we will certainly return just to stay at this resort. Thank you so much for making this special birthday even more memorable!
