The photos speak for themselves. I asked for a new room but one isn’t available. It’s dirty. The bathroom looks my high school swimming locker room. There’s what appears to be blood on the wall. There’s also an ambiguous white paste on the wall that I hope is toothpaste. I’ve killed half a dozen black flying bugs, and there are more flying around the room and on the ceiling. I asked someone to come check on the bug situation, but nobody came.

I booked a room last second the night before the Pittsburgh marathon. When I checked in no one told me you couldn't get your car out and leave before 2pm the next day. Instead it was written in a letter that was slipped under a map that was handed to me. I went up to my room, read the letter and immediately came back down as I needed to leave in the morning so I couldn't stay. The manager refused to give me my money back, then a manager named Jonathan lied at a later time to American Express who booked my room and said I was in my room for an hour and that's why I couldn't have my money back. Really unprofessional and low class for a nice hotel. Since I am a lawyer in PA, I now will be filing against the fairmont and the manager personally and subpoenaing records because footage and call logs won't lie to expose these blatant lies because I am not going to be taken advantage of. A truly disgusting hotel. They stole my money and engaged in fraudulent behavior.

We were shocked at the disgraceful state of the room we booked. The room never got cool despite turning down the temp. There was a THICK layer of dust on everything. The beds had this weird beat up rubber thing along the bottom and, heavy dust behind the mattress. Bathroom was so gross - dirty walls and dust, dust, dust! Everywhere! Carpets stained, dirty and dingy. Even hallway carpet was dingy and saw broken glass on them along with other debris - clearly not vacuumed in some time. Dingy and ripped towels. Just gross. All of it! I can’t believe a hotel with such a good reputation would allow its rooms to become so disgusting. Do not recommend.

Our daughter goes to college in Pittsburgh so we have been frequent visitors to the Fairmont Pittsburgh. We’ve stayed there at least 8 times in the past 4 years. From the moment we arrive, we are warmly welcomed by Fairmont’s gracious doorman, Ananta. He treats us like a good friend and goes out of his way to make sure that we are well taken care of! Everyone from the front desk staff, concierge and valet are so nice. My family loves staying there and the Fairmont staff is the reason that we return time and time again. We appreciate them and highly recommend the Fairmont Pittsburgh to our friends and family. The hotel is located downtown with in-hotel dining and room service, as well as restaurants within walking distance.

My experience was very pleasant. Ananta, the bellman, greeted us upon arrival and was always checking on us. Alex, from the lobby, was very diligent and gave us the best sushi recommendation. Drinks at the bar were great; I would definitely go again.
