Arrived to find a mini fridge in the middle of the floor and when I asked the front desk to remove it they looked at me like I was crazy. When did it become normal to have mini fridge sitting in the middle of the floor? There were dirty plates and cups all over the hallway in the evening, where was housekeeping or room service team? Housekeeping was poor - after 3 days with dirty coffee cups and water glasses stacked up in my room, I had to leave a note to specifically ask housekeeping to take them. Overall the room is pretty beat up; the bed frame was all torn up. They haven't updated the room to have USB chargers anywhere, they are still charging for Wifi (ridiculous), they don't provide any water without charging a fortune. Get with the times Fairmont. You can't charge a premium when you don't deliver on it.

Room was dirty (dust and drip marks in the bathroom, accumulated dust along the baseboard) as was the restaurant with horizontal surfaces dividing seating areas dusty and dirty. Sink would not drain and wall hook in bath was pulling out of the wall. Housekeeping was allegedly going to return to room and rectify; observed dirty conditions were not corrected. Room not furnished properly, no coffee cups provided nor was there a do not disturb sign. Location and staff were very good. Not a 5 star hotel, needs refurbishment and better cleaning standards. Surprised AMEX lists this as a preferred hotel.

Not a Fairmont standard. Stay away. We love Fairmont hotels (all around the world). Pittsburgh Fairmont is not a Fairmont strandart. We had a reservation for an Easter Brunch. After our arrival, we have been told the can pick only from the breakfast menu and that we have only one hour to stay there!!! The food was very poor - eggs Benedict were hard boiled eggs, served with cold potatoes cooked couple days ago. Steak was fully cooked,evethough we asked for medium. The whole Easter Brunch was an absolute disaster. I have contacted the manager (Aleksa Thomas) multiple times. She promised a refund. A month later, there is no refund and she is not responding to my emails.

Amazing hotel! The staff is beyond friendly and helpful!! From Connor at the front desk to the amazing staff on Floor 2. Everything was perfect!!

I go to Pittsburg regularly and Fairmont is the place to stay for me. Every time everything went smoothly except my last time. Arrived Saturday around 2pm and I could get into my room around 7:30pm. This was not a nice experience after 15hrs overseas travelling. After several times asking about the status of my room and have finally decided to complain. Front desk person was not really helpful but and asked her to escalate her manager then all got sorted out. Nevertheless, I will definitely come back again.
