Fairmont Pittsburgh

Nichole on F2 the restaurant has been rude since i arrived Thursday. Are we doing you a favor by attending your establishment? Why are you so frustrated rude and unkind. I have now visited the bar 3 different occasions and she had been consistently unwelcoming, cold, and awkward. THIS IS AN AMAZING HOTEL WITH INCREDIBLE FOOD AND FRIENDLY SERVICE. This young lady is not on brand and is a terrible representation of the FAIRMOUNT brand . please be aware of who you hire and how they make your clients feel!

The Fairmont Pittsburgh is a good, modern hotel in a convenient location, but don’t expect a five-star or luxury experience. Our suite was very large, clean and quiet. But the luxuries that one expects from a five-star hotel were missing. No welcome amenities, no free bottle of water. Towels were threadbare, there were tears and nicks in the furnishings. TV wasn’t working when we arrived, it took two calls to get it fixed. On the last day of our trip, when a late checkout of 2 or 3 hours would have really enhanced our experience, the front desk offered us literally 30 minutes. Overall, a good but not great visit.

Ridiculously slow service in the FL.2 restaurant for breakfast! Especially when most people need to get to work. Fix it please.

We had a deeply disappointing experience at the Fairmont in Pittsburgh. First the room prices are ridiculous. For us, the stay was for a special occassion, and we thought we would have a wonderful experience. However, that did not happen. Instead, we encountered an unwelcoming staff, and our room was not ready at check-in (and wouldn't be for nearly 2 hours). There was no apology or attempt to be hospitable in any way, instead they just asked us to wait in the nearby chairs. It felt more like checking into a dentist appointment than into a luxury hotel. When we approached the managers, they sadly took a rigid corporate stance basically saying "too bad, you are out of luck." Their total lack of hospitality was surprising. Ultimately we left and immediately called our credit card company for a refund. I can NOT RECOMMEND the Fairmont. If somthing goes wrong, they will not help you in anyway. If you are looking for a hotel there are many in Pittsburgh with stellar rooms and very friendly staff - such as The Industrialist Hotel, just a few blocks away.

Don’t waste your money here. It looks beautiful and gets 5 stars but we were there for 2 nights with 2 other couples and our rooms were never cleaned even once. No tissues, no cups and barely enough toilet paper.
