Banyan Tree Mayakoba

Our stay at Banyan Tree was absolutely exceptional. We loved everything—from the luxurious, beautifully designed villas to the outstanding food and impeccable service. The service throughout the resort was truly top-notch, and every staff member made us feel welcome. A special thank you to our beach waiter, Gamaliel, who went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. His exceptional service, warm personality, and genuine smile made every visit to the beach even more enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back!

Very unique property built around mangrove lined canals and a white sand beach. Welcome experience was poor and set a difficult tone for the rest of the trip. If the rest of the trip follows this path, I think three stars is generous. People are nice but Banyan Tree Lang Co was way better in terms of the overall experience. Everything is digital including property maps and menus, so if you are trying to escape your electronics, it might not be the place for you. Based on our experience so far, we would say good property but definitely not five diamond from a hospitality standpoint.

We loved our villa! Note the 2nd bedroom is only connected via outside stairs and keys are required to get to/from each bedroom. Living room is not connected and does not have a bathroom. The pool is huge. Hot tub was too hot to use. Housekeeping was great! Concierge services were mostly very helpful Madai and Eduardo in particular were very quick to respond and answered all our questions. Food was good especially breakfast. The pricing is very expensive even for a resort destination. Saffron didn’t live up to the hype. La Copa was our favorite with excellent service.

This place rocks! We had an amazing time Everyone was so courteous and respectful. The amenities were awesome. The facilities are 10 star. Gamaliel @ the sands was extra extra super amazing and helpful and always there to make us comfortable and the sands. Would definitely comeback again soon.

Gamliel took care of us by the Sands Beach !! He was exceptional attentive and just wanted to please!! He set up private beach chairs for us everyday!! His service was top notch h we would definitely return because of him!!!
