Banyan Tree Mayakoba

The most incredible resort in the Riviera Maya region, roughly 45-minutes from Cancun airport. We stayed 3 nights and we found this was the perfect amount; although we easily could've stayed longer. We spent most of our time in our suite, as we had plenty of space including a private pool. We did go to the beach club one day, however given we weren't able to swim in the ocean we preferred to just use our own pool in the room. I highly recommend reserving a spot and doing the free 1-hour boat tour of the Mayakoba complex. The scenery is so fascinating and it is a great way to see the entire resort, which also includes the Rosewood, Alila and Fairmont. Another tip, don't just stay at Banyan Tree. You can visit the other three hotels as well via the in-resort buggies. Just go to concierge and ask to be taken to another hotel and they will gladly arrange. One day we went and had a drink at Zapote bar at the Rosewood hotel, which I highly recommend. It was previously a North America World's 50 Best Bar and the drinks were delicious. What stood out about this property was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel to anyone as it is suitable for couples, friends and families.

Our beachfront villa views was amazing. Service everywhere we went was great, from the resort host, to the servers at each restaurant, to the staff that drove the golf carts around and boat tours. Everyone was so kind and explained things so well. They would even take their time to show the different wildlife to my young kids. Gamaliel served us everyday that we were there at the pool/beach and he gave us exceptional service. He had our beds ready for us each afternoon, was attentive to our family’s needs the entire day, and was always so kind throughout the day. He definitely made our stay easy and relaxing, and we appreciate him so much! We will definitely recommend Banyan Tree Mayakoba to our friends and family.

The beach club is our favorite location in the resort. The views are amazing and the service is impeccable.

It was my first time here I had a great time with my wife great service great people working here, especially the worker by the beach named Gamaliel who is attentive and kind. Very fast and helpful man, great English as well.
