Banyan Tree Mayakoba

We had another lovely stay at Banyan Tree. My husband and I truly love this resort because of the privacy, general chill vibes, and wonderful staff. One of the highlights of the trip was our day at the main pool, where we had the place to ourselves plus had some great cocktails and a guided mezcal tasting with Raul and Pablo. My husband also joined the morning bike tour (he ended up being the only guest) with Jorge who took him to see the cenote and the butterfly garden. Also shout out to Oscar and the full staff at Oriente who run a wonderful breakfast and got us our daily oat milk latte. The hotel is undergoing a renovation which seems to be running behind. Only 80 of the 160 rooms were available when we arrived. We were upgraded from a Bliss Pool Suite to a Lagoon & Sunset Rooftop Pool Villa. While this is technically a large upgrade (rooms are double the price), they’re also very different rooms and we missed having a large heated pool. They seemed to have blocked off all of November for new bookings, so I imagine guests will be impacted for the next several weeks. That being said they do a good job of keeping the construction relatively discreet and the hotel was operating as normal. Also wanted to note that while immigration at the Cancun airport took over an hour at this time last year, it took only a couple of minutes this trip. Banyan Tree Mayakoba is a special place and we look forward to coming back again next year!

Upon the moment we arrived at Banyan Tree Mayakoba we were so welcomed and treated incredibly well. While we waited for our room we had a delicious lunch at the Sands Beach Club, were there celebrating my husbands birthday and Osiel made sure that we had a spectacular experience. Treating us to a mariachi band and birthday cake. We are so grateful to be here!

Our villa was amazing, our host was Seidee González, great service and attention to detail. Would definetly stay here again :)

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, everything was beyond expectation. The food, staff and setting are all 11/10! And a special shoutout to Osiel who made our arrival lunch such a warm welcome and an incredible way to start our stay

The service was absolutely exceptional. Jose our personal concierge made us feel like royalty on our honeymoon and helped us book and schedule all our activities so we could have the full Banyan Tree experience. Daniel our server and Raul were the highlight of our trip- they were so kind and accommodating to our needs.
