Great staff and services. Beautiful Spa resembles a cenote. There is no beach to speak of, but it has an ample lovely terrace; the pool is nice, divided in compartments, great for families with kids, but shallow, perhaps because it is built so close to the ocean. Nice drop-in al fresco dining with good menu choices, and a fancier grill restaurant that requires reservations.

If you are looking for a safe haven to enjoy your vacation and spend quality time with your family and friends. This is definitely the place to choose. All the staff were amazingly friendly from the very moment we stepped on their stone driveway all the way to their pools and restaurants. They did not wait until you asked to offer you assistance, they were always looking to address any issue or service you were already thinking of. They were had daily interactive events by which all of them were listed on signs. Their food was top notch! They had many variations between dessert, breakfast, lunch and dinner. If God allows me another chance at this place, I would take it again!

Great food, great service, especially at The Grill! Francisco and Israel make a great team and make you feel like royalty, and the entire hotel staff bends over backwards to please. Rooms are comfortable and all seem to have some view of the ocean. Great location with food and activities in close proximity.

Grand Hyatt is the best 5 star hotel in Playa Del Carmen by far, with an excellent location right on the beach! With 26st , 5 steps from Quinta Avenida . The lovely boardwalk with restaurants, bars, shops and hotels. I have stayed in a suite, as always, as it is my home in Mexico 🇲🇽! And the sea view suite is amazing ! Best view, huge terrace and an amazing big bath !The hotel offers a private beach and stunning pools! Both for families & adults only. The breakfast is a treat in a restaurant with a great service, right on the beach. What I love most is the service and the attitude of everyone working in the hotel! From bellboys to management. First and foremost, a big Thanks to Mr. Franco Fransico who upgraded me there from Thompson Beach house , and to Agustina, my friend, and super hot manager in Grand Hyatt who accepted me with warm open arms and provided me with my favorite suite so I feel at home. I love everyone working in this hotel! From Walter, Meli & Teresita in breakfast To sushi woman chef in the best Japanese restaurant in the hotel, all the pool boys , cleaning team and receptionists as well. I feel like a true princess in Grand Hyatt and always happy to come back!

I was at the Hyatt in Cancun for a Congress, probably, during not the best season due to weather condition. Staff at the Hyatt erased that sense of frustration with quality service, and an always smile and disposition to serve.
