Great, quiet resort, I would recommend over and over again. all staff were amazing, as well as food. Unfortunate that we couldn't use the beach, because of Sargassam, but the resort worked their tails off every day trying to clean it up, and we noticed other resorts, weren't making any effort.

We were all impressed with the level of service and the pool area. When we went in June, there was a wave of sargassum that overran the beach, so it was not usable. Still, we were there for 3 days, and it was a great time. In terms of gluten-free options, it was okay but I was still nervous about cross-contamination the whole time.

An amazing trip! I traveled with my husband this past week and we did significant research before committing to Hyatt Zilara and wanted to share our experience. I will say the seaweed is bad and we were not able to go to swim in the ocean. There is definitely a smell but with the wind, it wasn’t as bad as I thought. They have people working to clean the beach all day, but it’s at an all time high. However, the customer service was above and beyond. We did a swim out pool (ocean view) and it seriously elevated our experience. With it, we had club level access and an amazing butler (Erasmo!!) who was easy to reach for any questions or scheduling. The food was superb!!!! breakfast is mainly the buffet (which was phenomenal and they had gluten free options), lunch was laid back with a couple of options, and dinner is primarily reservation based. You must go to sushi at Tempest and see Carlos who is a master at his craft. We found out the days he was working and had dinner with him 3x during our week stay! Hibachi was also delicious and entertaining, Capri (Italian) was excellent, and the steak at Gaucho was phenomenal. Everyone was so incredibly accomodating, courteous, and trying to make the vacation memorable even though the beach was a no-go. Highly recommend - and thank you to the entire staff including Hector and Abril who made sure there were always things to do!

Great service, good food and a nice small location. Overall, the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff was the best part of this place. Staffing is an absolute 10. Food and drinks were great as well, as expected. Diaz at in the club lounge was amazing! All the bartenders are great. The only issue we had was the sargassum smell that we weren’t aware of or prepared for. Nothing the hotel can really do about it, but still off putting while on vacation. My advice is to look into that before booking, but definitely book. We will be back for sure, just not in June.

My stay at Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya was amazing. The staff are attentive and friendly. The resort itself is beautiful and the room was well decorated and comfortable. The food and drinks are amazing which wasn't my expectation from an all inclusive resort. Its a short taxi ride to PDC downtown/5th Avenue. The resort also has a tour booking desk on-site if you don't get to book anything before you arrive. The only negative is the seaweed. Unfortunately it was really bad whilst I was there and I couldn't swim in the ocean here. My recommendation would be to pick a time of the year where the seaweed isn't as bad.
