We could not have had a better time here! But by far the highlight of our trip was the upstairs bar with Mario, Miguel, Carlos, and Roger. These four are so attentive, friendly, and kind! We came back every night just to talk to them. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thank you to Mario, Miguel, Carlos, and Roger for making our experience so wonderful!

The Elote Old Fashioned, at The St Regis Bar is by far the best cocktail I’ve had in a few years. And Mario is an awesome mixologist. He made our experience very special by taking the time to educate me on Mezcal. If Mezcal is not your poison, just ask Mario and he won’t disappoint!

My wife and 17 month old daughter had an amazing stay at the St. Regis Kanai . Pictures and videos that other people have posted online do not do this place justice. It is spectacular. The rooms, the grounds, the unique restaurants, the pool area with plush thick cushions and umbrellas, the air conditioned cabanas and the beautiful beach all make this truly a 5 star resort. Shout out to our assigned butlers— Carlos, Sylvia and Jesus, who took care of all our accommodations and requests the entire trip. Our room was meticulously cleaned by housekeeping twice each day. From the pool, the manager Alfredo made sure everything was perfectly clean and was extremely accommodating. Our specific servers Raul, Hector and Adolfo took care of us our entire trip and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves, checking on us frequently. Our experience at the breakfast buffet was extremely enjoyable thanks to our servers Wilbert and Alejandro as well as hostesses Cindy and Edna. They were all especially kind and playful with our daughter. Our trip was nothing short of amazing and we plan to come back again next year.

We had a great trip at the St. Regis Kanai until the last day when I had some jewelry stolen from my room while I was at dinner and my room was being turned down. After putting on my engagement ring and wedding ring before heading to dinner, I had left my jewelry case in the safe but unlocked and not thought much about it given that I was wearing the nicest of my jewelry. The safe was actually located in a cabinet in the closet area that requires that you lift a wooden cabinet door to access. I had closed the wooden cabinet door and left for dinner just as the person came to turn down our room. When I got back to the room after dinner, I noticed that the safe with my jewelry case had in fact been locked and was set to a code that I did not know. I messaged my butler immediately and they informed me that they have a policy of locking all unlocked safes when they see them open and that they would send someone to unlock the safe. Someone promptly came and unlocked the safe and, while it felt strange that someone had physically opened the cabinet to look for the open safe, I thought nothing more of it because I had my jewelry case. One would not have seen that the safe was left open unless they went looking for it. The next morning when I went to put on a necklace of mine (it was a lab grown diamond that retails for $300), I noticed that it was no longer in the jewelry case. I had intentionally not brought excessively nice jewelry but had forgotten that piece was in there. When I reported this to the front desk, they indicated that they would check the "lost and found" for me, which was somewhat dismissive. I had seen the necklace in the jewelry case before going to dinner (and had decided not to wear it) and then when returning it was gone. I fully admit that I should have locked the jewelry in the safe but I had forgotten that there was anything nicer than normal costume jewelry in there. This hotel was really nice and our stay was very expensive so this was very disappointing. At checkout, we were also disappointed to see the front desk trying to double charge us for our $4800 stay when we had already prepaid our room. We had a really great stay up until the last few hours before we left and unfortunately that marred our trip a bit.
