ATELIER Playa Mujeres

I had high expectations for ATELIER Playa Mujeres, but this was easily one of the most frustrating resort experiences I’ve had. First, the “quiet pool”... one of the main reasons we booked this property... had active construction happening. literally jackhammer noise every few seconds right below the relaxing pool and they did not disclose that there would be any construction during our stay. When we raised the issue, the initial response was essentially, “Yeah, that sucks, nothing we can do.” It took escalating to three different managers before anyone offered a resolution. And their solution? “Upgrading” us to a room category we were already entitled to based on how we booked, and giving us a wristband to their timeshare pool… on our last day. Housekeeping was another shocking experience. Despite having our Do Not Disturb sign on, a housekeeper entered our room because she had left a spray bottle inside earlier. She walked in on us NAKED, laughed awkwardly, said “oops,” and left. Completely unacceptable for a property that markets itself as luxury. Dining was equally disappointing. We were seated late to multiple reservations . One night was 45 minutes late and then waited another 20 minutes just to get water. I'm sorry the restaurant was empty why tf did it take so long to seat us and give us water at a restaurant IN THE HOTEL. On departure day, the bellman showed up over an hour early to collect our bags because they wrote down the wrong pickup time even after verbally confirming it with us. We were woken up unnecessarily on our last morning. And the food? Mediocre at best. For a resort at this price point, it should be memorable. It wasn’t. Finally, the timeshare pressure is ridiculous. If I wanted to sit through a sales presentation, I would’ve booked one of the properties that offers a discounted stay in exchange for it. I came to relax, not to be pitched. Beautiful marketing. TERRIBLE execution. Absolutely not a 5 star hotel. It would barely pass as a 4 star hotel. Definitely won't be returning and will be staying at Hotel Xcaret instead next time.

Ping and Brandon were amazing they were able to accommodate us with what we needed .they helped me organize a birthday celebration for my husband's 80th birthday .cake that ping recommended was fabulous our entire family loved it. Who ever baked it did a great job. The food in the restaurants was amazing. The cleanliness in our room was always great. Our family was impressed with everything. The atmosphere was also great. For the value it was worth it. We plan to go back God willing in December.

We were blown away by this resort. The grounds are impeccable along with the cleanliness of the rooms. Our rooftop suite was amazing. Our butlers, Yareni and Rodolfo made our trip that much more incredible. They both greeted us each day asking what we needed, gave us the activities at the resort for the day and reached out before they were leaving for the day again asking what we needed. They filled our fridge and bar cart with exactly what we liked and asked for. Huge thank you to both of them! My husband and I had one of the best vacations at this resort and a lot of it had to do with the service of the employees here. Everyone who served us seemed to enjoy their job and wanted us to have all our needs met. The sunny warm weather, the beautiful resort, and terrific service helped make our getaway so memorable.

This was a wonderful couples resort! The quality of everything - from the room to the pool to the service - was top notch. I would come back here every year! The service was exceptional. Julio, our server at the relaxation pool, was amazing. He made our experience great!
