ATELIER Playa Mujeres

My wife and I came here on our honeymoon and had the best 5 days. The beach and pool were clean, the food and drink service at each were amazing, and the restaurants were all incredible. Service here is top notch. Luis took great care of us at breakfast at Mercado and lunch at Cilento. Julio provided amazing service to us for our private, romantic dinner on the beach (highly recommend as an add-on; pictures included), Jonathan was an energetic and friendly group activity leader, and Guadalupe provided multiple days of great and friendly service to us on beach days. Massages were great as well. Do everything you get a chance to do here: nightlife activities, taco truck, burgers by the pool, wine and cheese nights, Maria Dolores. Everything was perfect, thank you Atelier for the best honeymoon we could have asked for!

Fantastic property , service always good although some employees are great above and beyond . Now they have a cork fee policy at an all inclusive hotel , weird or simply greedy , both unacceptable. Would I go back for an 8th time ? probably yes but not sold to return either

Absolutely one of the best adult all inclusive resort we have been to. Our butlers Aline & Martin were very attentive during our stay, as were all the staff. Highly recommend! This will be a place we will go back to.

WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESORT — SERIOUS ILLNESS AND HYGIENE CONCERNS My wife and I stayed at Atelier Playa Mujeres from June 26 to July 1, 2026. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this resort due to the serious illness we both experienced and our concerns regarding hygiene. On the same day as our final meal at the resort, we both became seriously ill with significant gastrointestinal symptoms. We went directly from the resort to the airport and did not eat anywhere else before arriving home. Our condition was serious enough that we both required medical care after returning to the United States. We immediately reported what happened and provided all requested medical documentation, some of it more than once. For approximately 40 days, we have repeatedly followed up with the resort and Expedia, yet we still have not received a satisfactory explanation or meaningful resolution. What is especially unacceptable is the lack of accountability. When two guests become seriously ill at essentially the same time, require medical attention, provide documentation, and spend weeks trying to resolve the issue, a luxury resort should take the matter seriously and respond appropriately. We waited approximately 40 days before posting this review to give the resort every reasonable opportunity to address the situation privately. Unfortunately, they have failed to do so. For a resort that markets itself as a luxury property, both our experience and the way our complaint has been handled have been completely unacceptable.

I don’t know where to begin with Atelier. My wife and I usually do not go to all inclusive resorts because we’ve always heard mixed things, but took a chance on Atelier after hearing nothing but amazing things and I’m so glad we did. The resort is gorgeous and well taken care of, the staff are extremely attentive, and the food is AMAZING. We come from a state that has amazing food and we are big foodies and we were left impressed every single meal. We had the INSPIRA upgrade and we will never not upgrade again! Get the swim out room over anything else!! Having the space to swim from our room during our downtime was the best. Our butlers Hiram and Santiago were so unbelievable in the best way possible. They responded quickly, set up lovely surprises, and provided endless recommendations. It is not easy being in the service industry and they made it seem so effortless. They were very lovely and accommodating and made us feel welcome and comfortable. It really makes your stay even more relaxed and carefree. The INSPIRA upgrade is worth it too to have access to the private rooftop pool during the day. Even though this is a more chill resort, there are sooo many activities so there is something for everyone. Also, the smell?! Incredible. The spa? Gorgeous. Housekeeping kept everything immaculate and they came multiple times a day which is incredible. We are trying to convince our family to take our next family trip to Atelier. Regardless, it is on our list of places to return!!
