Misses the mark for a 5 star

We spent 4 nights at the lodge and while it was good, the hotel has improvements to make if it wishes to become a 5 star hotel. Firstly, the staff were great, thank you to Laura the guest experience manager, and Silvia in the restaurant- both are an absolute credit to the hotel. Improvements could be made in the pool service which is close to non-existent. You cannot get any food at the pool, which is fine, but drink service is also poor. Guests were sent to the restaurant for drinks that they didn't have on the small bar. We also tried to book a boat via the hotel and were told transfers to the port (20 mins away) were €182 each way. We got our own taxi a few days later for dinner and it was €25. Not sure if the hotel are trying to keep you there but without a car you do feel somewhat trapped as nothing is nearby and they are not forthcoming with helping with taxis. Finally the gym is outdoors which suits the aesthetic but impossible to use post 9am as it's far too hot. Overall a nice few days, however room for improvement before we'd return.

Laura was amazing! She set up the most beautiful engagement picnic for us in the lavender fields at The Lodge in Mallorca. Everything was perfect, stress free, and beyond what we imagined. Highly recommend!

If only you could rate a hotel 6 STARS - The Lodge is heaven on earth!

We came to The Lodge for my wife's 40th Birthday and genuinely have never been anywhere more incredible, more beautiful or more perfect for this special occasion. We booked it quite last minute as a different hotel let us down with our reservation and we couldn't be more glad because The Lodge is actually heaven on earth! Every single detail from the moment we arrived was perfect. We have to give special mention to Laura who went above and beyond to make this trip so incredibly special for my wife and for us. She was on hand what felt like 24-7, responding to every message, every question, making every ask possible. From restaurant bookings to helping coordinate the most beautiful breakfast in our room, to a picnic set up in the orchard for just us. We cannot thank her and all the wonderful staff at The Lodge enough. They really make this place what it is. The setting is truly magic - the decor, the pool and of course the most stunning restaurant with some of the best food we've ever had. We were going to eat out at a few different places but ended up having dinner in the restaurant every night and lunch most days. We could not have dreamt of a more perfect place to spend 5 days together and we cannot wait to come back.

Booking this hotel we wanted a retreat feel which yes you do get. The location, grounds and rooms are picture perfect! The morning yoga is wonderful and the hike routes. Meeting Marcus at check-in was a lovely welcome. The majority of staff were friendly and helpful. The reservation team assisted with rearranging our stay prior to arrival, email communications were efficient. The food was marvellous at dinner, the steak was our favourite. Unfortunately it can't be classed as a luxury 5 star resort... - Pool is freezing cold and nobody can use it. July the pool should be full of guests and in 7days not 1 guest stayed in the pool longer than 2minutes. It's colder than the sea. - When we asked reception about the temperature they replied "we don't have a heater". - The hotel is clearly unstaffed, it's evident at meal times/pool bar. No pool snacks are available. - Room service menu - no hot food available anytime. Only two cold items. - The last breakfast it took 1 hour 20minutes to get our food. - General manger was informed and when I asked to see him, he came out and stated 'I understand'. Nothing further. - Safety of rooms, 'the patio doors front cannot be locked from inside. - On booking the hotel boat trip which costed €740 for 2.5hours, a recommended and planned trip from concierge. You would expect clear communication of location and parking information. This should be a smooth process. No! My husband had to reach out multiple times to the boat company. On arrival at the boat - we were informed previous guests had used the battery of the water scooter and it's not available for us to use. Snorkeling masks and snorkels didn't match and majority not wearable. Snacks were meant to be provided - 1 plate of dried grapes provided. - Feedback was given at reception and we expressed how disappointing it was. The response given from staff was "oh okay". No further response or solution from the staff. Overall gorgeous location, Mallorca is beautiful. But we won't be back to The Lodge - we have left disappointed .

Ok hotel, but service not great for 5 star hotel

The property is very beautiful, with amazing pool area, the rooms are very nice, will designed and with nice amenities. However the service in my opinion is not on par. You can’t order food at the pool and have to go to the restaurant, which I would strongly encourage the hotel to review and at least allow some snacks at the pool. The barman is never to be found at the pool, we had to message reception every time we wanted to order drinks. It’s fine if he doesn’t want to hang out there, but then there should be another system in place so that it’s accessible and you can order drinks any time you want, think it’s quite standard for a 5 star hotel. And lastly I got stuck in a very small bathroom space, I got quite anxious, the staff eventually heard me and got me out. But I didn’t get an apology from the hotel team, it’s quite standard to send something as an apology gesture (e.g. a treatment on the house, a bottle of something, a mean etc), however this wasn’t acknowledged at all. Overall an ok hotel for the price, but the service is not on par.
