Very nice boutique hotel with lots of character and charm. From entering the property you notice the attention to detail and service starts right away. Beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. Restaurant, pool, and bistro were also fantastic. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a private boutique style experience.

We recently stayed at Bela Vista Hotel & Spa and found many aspects to love. The food and staff were truly five-star—attentive, professional, and warm. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring high-quality bedding, a beautifully restored main house, and a stunning pool area. Cocktail and wine prices were reasonable, and the overall dining experience was among the finest we’ve experienced. That said, several factors offset these positives: - Housekeeping carts left in hallways looked untidy. - The gym and fitness area felt worn; yoga mats were too small. - The pool deck showed signs of wear. - At 6 pm, the beautifully appointed indoor bar was unmanned—guests were redirected to the outdoor pool bar, with no complimentary snacks offered. - Room amenities like the corkscrew, glassware, and snacks felt basic and underwhelming. - The décor in outlying rooms (Garden House) didn’t reflect true five-star luxury. Most notably, we felt misled by the online portrayal of the hotel's surroundings. The images suggest a secluded cliffside retreat, yet the immediate area is busy and dominated by low-quality tourist buildings. This constant visual and noise intrusion detracted from the experience. Many echo this sentiment in reviews: “street noise and the disappointing immediate surroundings pop up in the complaints”. For the premium price, the setting and some amenities did not align with expectations for a five‑star property. Perhaps hedging landscaping or reorienting the pool to face the ocean could help, but until the hotel addresses some of the issues, we don’t plan to return. Bela Vista could truly be a flawless stay... and we wish you all the best.

My husband and I have recently returned from another great stay here. We have lost count of our visits and each one is better than the last. The hotel is so grand and stands out on the landscape from almost every angle commanding attention from people. You cannot fail to be intrigued by it. The ethos is a very big part of the hotel and is clear to see. Such a relaxing place. The front of house staff are very friendly, professional and immaculate even in the heat and searing sunshine. Once settled, I realised I had booked the wrong type of room, all my own fault but the staff done their best to alter the room type for the rest of our stay with very little effort (on the surface but it can't have been easy) and I was extremely grateful. The staff on breakfast, lunch and pool duty just glide along smiling and there to help with anything you ask for. Immaculately dressed and there's nothing in a place that shouldn't be. Breakfast is like a trip to the theatre, the colours on the table all set out with an array of tempting food enticing you to think outside the box. I found myself eating the most delicious tomatoes drizzled with oil and sprinkled with basil during breakfast then washed down with a cappuccino, at home this would be laughed upon but here, it all seems natural. There's no rush to move along from the lovely view whilst having breakfast either, plenty of room for all. We had lunch at the hotel a few days too, that was a lovely experience. Staff are always on hand but not in your face, you just no they are there. The rooms are so different from each other and all offering you a taste of Portugal. We had tea and coffee facility available too, complimentary as well as water. There's and a fully stocked mini bar. We met the manager again who fits the role so well. The hotel is him and he is the hotel. The staff seemed well suited to their role and like to please. Pool side is as you'd expect, immaculate. Whilst there, we saw a Harris hawk in attendance due to unwanted seagulls around, it's the cleanest hawk ever, glossy feathers and shiny eyes ☺️ A hand picked hawk for the Bela Vista ☺️ I had a spa treatment too, the girl was very nice and very good at her job and the spa is like the rest of the hotel, smells lovely too. Was sad to come away and the time went very quickly but we'll be back. It's irresistible.

the moment we arrived at the Bela vista hotel and spa we were greeted by Joel with champagne I knew we were where we belonged! The hotel is gorgeous. It is warm and inviting. We ate in the bistro the first night and it was my favorite meal in the algarve. The staff is stupendous. Patrice , Joel and the rest of the staff are professional friendly and you can tell they love their jobs. They make staying there very special. I would recommend this hotel to all . Rating a 11 out of 10!!

The room we had was small asked for a larger room was told all were the same size . Finally did move to a little larger room only to find out there were many large rooms that were vacant. The staff besides the lady who showed us the beautiful hotel and checked us in were all wonderful.
