What a great hotel. Very close to the harbor and all the restaurants and shops of downtown Portland. Well appointed rooms, though a bit old. The shower is great. The TV is an LG on which you can add your Netflix account. You can also hook up a Roku or Amazon stick very easily. Plenty of outlets, though no usb ports. Snacks on every floor and a very helpful, friendly staff. Would definitely return .

Enjoyed my stay, food was good and service was very friendly. Very quiet for me to do business. Would visit again when I am in the area

We would stay here again, if visiting Portland, but this is more of a Very Good than Great hotel. Our TripAdvisor rate was quite reasonable, though we found local parking rates to be grossly disproportionately high*. The staff was all nice (bartender Riley was fantastic) and the corner room we got was quite spacious, though some of the decor was either dated (particularly our bathroom counter and shower) or questionable decorated. As annoying as a ($35) resort fee can be at a place that's not really a resort, it was great that they let us apply it as a credit to room charges (to encourage use of their restaurant and bar - the latter being far more appealing). The fitness center is above average (2 Pelotons - yes!) and the snack/coffee bar near the elevator on our floor was a great amenity too. * I can only imagine how much of the city budget must come from the apparent parking monopoly near this centrally located hotel (all lots had the same signs), so that's why I assume it's OK to charge $45 to valet in a roughly $200/night hotel. We arrived a few minutes before check-in, so I actually drove around a bit (in search of better options, but the 24-hour rates for local lots were the same or higher!?). Fortunately, we saw a street spot open, feed the meter for the remaining 2 hours ($4) and put the rest to our wine budget at dinner (we were checking out before the meters became effective at 9am anyway - great hack, if you're just in for the night).

Great location and very clean. Unfortunately, Room 117 had a constant buzzing sound from the heater that made it impossible to sleep or even stay in the room. The bathroom door did not close and the bathroom light flickered on and off . Checked out at 7:30 the next morning bcs sounded was so bad. Told the staff, and the response was simply a blank look and “thanks.”

If you’re going to bed after 2am then by all means stay here. Otherwise find somewhere else. Loud partying and music kept us up Saturday evening—and it’s the low season. The hotel wasn’t particularly busy so it’s odd they put us in a room that they know would be amongst the noisiest (1st floor and right near the lobby). Add in the barking dogs at 7:30am it was not a restful stay. The women who checked us out didn’t even bother to ask how our stay was so I figured I’d post online.
