Avalon Hotel & Spa

My wife and I stayed on our trip last week to Catalina. What a gem! The hotel is immaculate, staff is friendly, rooms are comfortable and the view from the rooftop deck can’t be beat!! We spent our mornings and evenings on the roof. Highly recommend and would stay here anytime!

Not only was the hotel clean, costly decorated, and very comfortable, the service really knocked this hotel out of the park. We received text message confirmation and could text questions and concerns to the front desk and they were extremely communicative. They did the absolute most to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable and we couldn’t appreciate it more!!! So quaint and clean! Gorgeous koi fish pond for continental breakfast, coffee, mini fridges, and spacious bathrooms. Literally can’t recommend more! AND a perfect light walk from main street. Buffered by another hotel, it’s nice and quiet at night but literally a 30 second walk to the main street. Can’t rave enough- already told my parents and partner and friends too book their stays here!

We had a wonderful experience here starting with check in at the front desk with Kevin to check out at the front desk with Jacob. The service is impeccable, the premises immaculate, the breakfast is so much more than just a continental meal, and the location perfect. Being off the main street allows for a quiet, peaceful stay. Their provision of beach towels and chairs was an added bonus. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back myself.

Where do I begin! Evelyn and the entire staff were just so friendly and accommodating at every level. My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and the Hotel Avalon on Catalina Island did not disappoint! From allowing you to leave luggage prior to check in as well as after checking out was a game changer for us. This unique and beautiful little getaway is a gem in the heart of Catalina! Rooms are spacious and very clean. They are located in the heart of town easy walking distance to almost everywhere. As a memento we purchased 2 of their Avalon Hotel handmade coffee mugs, our absolute favorite mugs. We can't wait to return!

Our first trip to Catalina Island was made even better by choosing this hotel. I specifically looked for a quiet location away from the main street, and this spot was absolutely ideal: peaceful, yet just a short walk from all the restaurants and attractions. I'm a very light sleeper, so this was important to me. The hotel is an easy 10-minute walk from the Catalina Express port. A pro-tip for future guests: notify the front desk of your arrival time; they were incredibly accommodating and prioritized an early check-in for us! Our room (301) had a stunning view, which was a highlight of our stay. With the Vons grocery market nearby, everything we needed was a short walk away. The staff was friendly, courteous and professional. They have set a very high bar, and it'll be difficult to stay anywhere else on our next visit.
