The hotel is very conveniently located for the concert hall and nearby restaurants. The room itself was large and comfortable but the bathroom tiny and cramped. Front desk staff service was mixed--some attentive and helpful, others not so much. Food choices in the Tavern unappealing so we ate elsewhere. Music in public spaces annoying--at least to these older ears. Amenity fee ridiculous as we did not use ONE item listed.

Hotel Staff including the valet service was very friendly and helpful with all my needs the restaurant staff also provide excellent service only major problem was the housekeeping staff never clean the room emptied out the garbage or replaced the used towels even after several complaints were made to the frontdesk about them not cleaning the room

Very nice hotel . They should not have a $33 Xtra a day fee to get 10% off on restaurant and bike rental.

I have stayed at the Heathman several times and will continue to return while in Portland. The hotel attracts guests who, like me, seek a restful and restorative oasis while in Portland. The rooms are spotlessly clean, with attention to the details that make a hotel stay comfortable and easy. Staff are kind and helpful, from the associates at check-in to the valets and housekeeping. The Tavern serves excellent fare in a comfortable setting and the library space is quiet and lovely. I was sorry to leave and will be glad to return on my next trip.

My wife and I were attending a conference held at a nearby hotel. We skipped the conference hotel and chose the Heathman because we expected it to have more charm. We were not disappointed. The hotel is lovely and comfortable. We enjoyed morning coffee in the library. The staff were friendly and helpful.
