The Nines, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Portland

I’d like to give a special shout-out to Sheryl from the concierge team! She was an absolute pleasure to work with and went above and beyond in helping us plan an amazing hike at Multnomah Falls. Sheryl was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience seamless. Her thoughtful recommendations and attention to detail truly made a difference. This hotel goes above and beyond in every aspect. The employees all go out of their way to make sure you’re having a great stay. From the moment we walked in to when we left we had great service, Janessa checked us in and was welcoming. We loved the restaurant-Urban Farmer they had the nicest hospitality, Blair and Malachi treated us like royalty! They even remembered our names each day we came back. And the food was so fresh and delicious - best coffee too. Our room was awesome and we had free cold bottles water each day which just saved us time and money when we headed out for the day. We liked the rooftop bar and restaurant too. Great vibes and views. The Bao Burgers are insanely good. And the concierge found as a fun local river boat cruise, Island Style Cruises. She also got us tickets to a local concert. We had a great stay and can’t wait to get back! 5 star service all the way and a fun atmosphere in a great part of town with lots to do.

One of my new favorite hotels, The Nines is a TEN. The location is central and walkable to interesting DT Portland sites. The room was beautiful with a Glam/Elegant feel. The room was spacious, comfortable with ample mirrors, and outlets! The staff was fabulous! From the front desk to the concierge; Patrick, Coug, and Sheryl who were friendly, professional and made me feel EXRA special. If you check in on a Friday, make sure to sample the jalapeno punch; IT IS delicious!! I hope I have an opportunity to stay at The Nines again, I hope you will too!

Jason went above and beyond to make sure that I had some diet cokes. I had woken up early one morning and went out to grab a Diet Coke at a local CVS store. The CVS store did not have any- so when I walked back into the hotel, I was a little sarcastic when I said “ what’s happened to my beautiful city” being a native Oregonian I was in shock at how CVS had almost everything locked up- to include sodas. Jason asked how he could help. I asked him if he knew where I could purchase a Diet Coke and he said he would find a place and let me know. I then went to my room where I was scheduled for many zoom calls throughout the day before heading to a business dinner. I was on one of my calls when a note was placed under my door. It said open door and enjoy. It was a beverage bucket with 3 diet cokes on ice. I cannot over state how this gesture made my stay at the Nines one of the best hotel stays of all time. My career has been quite hectic at times and travel is always part of the equation. Jason made my day!! It is so nice to know that the Nines staff do care!!! I will forever stay at this hotel when I have business travel to Portland Oregon. I wanted to personally thank Jason so I asked to see the manager to explain what a wonderful person Jason was and told her about my Nines experience!!! The BEST!!!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. My flight into Portland arrived very early in the day, and I stopped by simply to store my luggage thinking there was no way I could have a room that early in the morning, but the staff immediately checked and had a room for me without any fuss or fee. I was on the Club floor (12th) with a room facing an internal restaurant and lounge area. The room was clean and in good condition. The desk area was slightly removed from the bedroom itself, which was a nice feature. The staff from the door, to the front desk, to the restaurant were all very courteous and attentive. The room was well insulated from noise. Despite overlooking the restaurant and having neighbors in the rooms near me, I never heard a thing. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was good, and there was plenty of hot water. The bathroom was a bit dim, however, and I imagine if you were putting on make up it might be a bit dark. Overall, a great stay and I will return.
