Sentinel

Suite was spacious, clean, stylish, warm by the fireplace, cozy and comfortable. Loved the lounge with the coffee/tea/snack room. Honestly that room was the best feature of our experience, and we would repeatedly stay in this suite anytime we are in Portland. Top notch stay, and a gorgeous property. Definitely going to favorite this one.

What a great hotel! It's perfectly located. We were able to walk easily to an event at the 1st United Methodist Church as well as to the waterfront. The Vegan menu for vegan food and cocktails was exceptional and well-priced. The hotel's staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We didn't bring our dog this visit, but clearly the hotel is very dog-friendly which we love. The fireplace in our room as well as the window seating made for such a romantic experience. We look forward to staying at the Sentinel again!

I traveled to Portland for work and really enjoyed my stay at the Sentinel. The location was incredibly convenient and made it easy to get around downtown and over to the convention center. Everything was clean and the hotel had a welcoming atmosphere from the moment I walked in. My room was comfortable and cozy. I especially appreciated the little details like the lighting, the really cool vintage radio, and the plaid throw. Those touches made the room feel special and much more inviting than a typical hotel room. The hotel itself is beautiful and full of character. Overall, it was a great place to come back to after a long day of work and I'd definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Portland.

I stayed here for a business trip. Location is within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Rooms are outdated with tub/shower combo and I don't consider them luxury by any means. My room had a view of a roof of another building. I also forgot that Fortune was vegan so when I ordered a chocolate brownie dessert, it didn't taste anything like chocolate. The bar is a very cool design though. I also didn't like the fact that it didn't honor my Hilton membership.

Good but needs improvement. Second stay here. Great location. Its right near all the places I am here to visit. Staff friendly. I do think it needs a refresh overall. Worn fake leather chairs and even entry furniture looks a bit sad. Rooms are large yet a cozy vintage vibe. A singular elevator is a tad annoying on a busy day. The restaurant also needs an upgrade, that old carpet is gross and looks very out of style. Lastly the first day i was at a class 9am-430 pm and cleaners came by at 5. Seriously annoying. Second day i asked front desk to have it done at 10 and when i returned at 130 still wasnt done. Im considering checking out a different place in the area. I would keep staying here if these things above werent an issue.
