Hotel & room were beautiful. Rooms heater was very loud. Toilet broke next morning was unusable and never fixed. We left.

We had an enjoyable stay at this lovely historic hotel. Clean, comfortable and quiet with amenities and helpful staff. Great location to Powells Books and Art Museum.

We love going to Portland,OR for a staycation. We live in a rural area and being able to experience some high end restaurants is a treat for us. The Sentinel is centrally located to experience many of the restaurants we love. But what is most pleasing about the hotel is the treatment we get when we’re there. High end service, perfect rooms, quiet, all add up to a perfect experience. The suites on the sixth floor offer seasonally perfect rooms. Parlor rooms with fireplaces in the winter and rooms with a terrace and gas fire pits in the summer. We have been going to this hotel for many years. As of the past couple of years, the city has declined in its ability to attract visitors. Homelessness and crime has escalated, just like in other parts of the country. But the Sentinel Hotel has remained a strong source of consistent service and elegance. Anchored by the always reliable Jake’s Grill, you don’t even need to venture to far for fine dining. Although there are other options starting to emerge now that Portland is emerging from a stagnant period, I don’t see us spending our time at any other hotel. Why when it feels so much like home, with a touch of elegance!

Was very excited for stay and systematically and completely disappointed throughout stay. Would NOT recommend. Obviously a hotel in need of a complete managerial and staff renewal. Deceptive relationship with Domaine Serene. Unreal street noise.

I loved the decor, featuring all the artists with descriptions of their photos. I appreciated the location, which is close to many amenities, situated in downtown Portland.
