For the first time in over 25 years of business travel, I accidentally booked a hotel room for the wrong date - and by a long shot - over 30 days prior to when I actually was coming to Portland. Not only did the woman at the front desk credit the early August payment with zero penalties, but she gave me a room at the same rate over 30 days later! 99% of hotels would not have given a refund, let alone provided a room at the same rate. When I come back to Portland, I will stay at the Sentinel. Beautiful hotel too.

Great room, very cozy. I loved the small touches, like the fireplace, radio, and furnishings. The location is perfect for daytime adventures in Portland.

Hotel unlike any typical places to stay. The nostalgic spirit of the hotel takes you back in time. The dining at Jakes was great because the staff was so great.

This is a lovely, historic hotel, well maintained and with interesting historical decorations. It is centrally located downtown, providing easy access to restaurants, food pods and shopping on foot. The on-site restaurants are excellent and service is top notch. While valet delivers what they promise, the $65 overnight parking fee seems exorbitant to me. With such great walkability and mass transit in Portland, if you are only visiting the downtown area, you may want to skip the rental car and parking fees.

A little anniversary getaway and sent a perfect place to go in Portland. The location is great for walkable adventures. The hotel itself is just lovely and our room was comfortable and inviting.
