The InterContinental Porto is an oasis of calm and elegance. My wife and I loved our three night stay. Room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Aircon was quiet yet efficient and ensured the room temp was maintained at a perfect level for us. We indulged ourselves with room service breakfast every morning which was always delivered promptly and with a warm friendly smile, and the food was beautifully presented and delicious. Reception staff greeted us warmly at check in and then, on check out, seemed genuinely keen to make sure we had enjoyed ourselves and been satisfied with our stay and the service. Final mention must go to the Concierge team who are superb. One of the best I have ever had the pleasure of being looked after by. My requests for airport transfer, surprise flowers to be placed in our room, and hiring of car with driver for half a day, were all handled effortlessly and efficiently and with the politest communications. Thank you !

Beautiful hotel in the very center of Porto. We only stayed one night so difficult to fully access. Breakfast and service were top notch. No USB or ports/plugs close to the bed and air conditioning was weak.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at the InterContinental Porto. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. The hotel itself is stunning — a perfect blend of historic charm and modern luxury. My room was spacious, elegant, and spotless, with a beautiful view of the city. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of Porto, making it easy to explore the main sights on foot. Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of delicious options and excellent service. Everything about my stay exceeded expectations. I’ll definitely return and would highly recommend InterContinental Porto to anyone visiting this beautiful city!

Staying at the InterContinental Porto was easily one of the best choices we made in Porto. Despite the ongoing construction around Porto (which unfortunately affected the front view), the hotel itself remains an excellent place to stay — elegant, comfortable, and within walking distance to everything in the city center. 🏨 Hotel & Rooms The hotel exudes classic 5-star charm, from its grand entrance to the beautifully appointed rooms. We booked a Junior Suite, which gave us extra space and a touch of luxury. The full bath was a treat, and while the bidet was in the older, separate style, it was still appreciated. 🍽 Breakfast & Service Breakfast was a typical buffet spread, but with a generous selection and attentive service. The check-in process was a little slow, mainly due to a large group arriving at the same time, but otherwise the staff were courteous and professional. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with pastel de nata, juice, and water, which was a lovely touch. 💡 Extras Unlike some hotels in Lisbon, there was no complimentary walking tour, and the concierge didn’t proactively suggest activities or itineraries. This felt like a missed opportunity, especially in a city as rich in history and charm as Porto. ✨ Overall Despite minor shortcomings, the InterContinental Porto delivers on comfort, elegance, and location. If you’re looking for a refined stay right in the heart of the city — and don’t mind a bit of nearby construction — this hotel is an excellent choice.
