I have traveled a lot over the years for business and pleasure. I have never had a more enjoyable stay at a hotel. The staff at every level was attentive and kind Vasco at the bar could not have made me and my wife any more comfortable. He remembered. He anticipated. He cared. All employees should have that dedication The gentlemen by the entrance. Tiago for one. I asked for a reservation. He could not get them on the phone. So he walked to the restaurant and not only got us a reservation, but due to the owner knowing him, she made it clear, we got a table for that night at a difficult place That’s above and beyond. He was always helpful and took the time to make sure we had what we needed I don’t know names of the others The younger gentlemen always with a smile and ready to help When I asked where something was. They were going to walk me there. Still smiling. Instead I asked just to take me outside and point the way The younger lady, I believe Rachel, could be wrong, from the time we arrived, set the tone. We had flown over night got in quite early. Check in not until 3pm. It was 9am. We went to breakfast and came back, willing to wait the day. Very tired. She recognized this and a little after 10 came to us and said she had a room. unexpected but very much appreciated. I could go on The resturant people attentive I did not meet one individual that worked there that did not hold up to your standard Thank you all from my wife and I. It was such a pleasure I hope you do not ruin it for other hotels. We are in our way to Lisbon, the standard you set will be hard to match.

We had a terrible stay at the Intercontinental. There was a loud noise coming from the control panel in the closet and we called twice for them to fix it. Since the panel was broken, the bedside lights had to be turned off during our entire stay. Additionally, the room was warm and they had to bring us up two fans for the room. We asked to speak with a manager and they never contacted us. The concierge team and the bellhop team were excellent. I’m surprised AmEx Platinum recommended this hotel as one of their better hotels and resorts.

We absolutely loved our stay at the InterContinental Porto. The hotel is GORGEOUS from the moment you walk in, with a stunning lobby, beautiful rooms, and a elegant dining room. What truly stood out though, was the warmth and professionalism of the staff—everyone was welcoming and genuinely helpful, from the doorman and concierge to the receptionist. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, offering an impressive selection of high-quality foods and beautifully presented dishes that made breakfast a highlight of our stay. Overall, the hotel provided a wonderful combination of elegance, comfort, and outstanding hospitality. We would definitely stay there again!
