Superb 5☆ hotel and the staff were amazing. Luxurious splendour everywhere and the Valentines dinner was fabulous! Located in the heart of Porto and couldn't be more central.

The service was outstanding all through are stay. My wife Irene and myself were there 3 times, a good part of January 2026. Exceptional service by all Staff, especially by the Day Manager Mr. Duarte Pinho who’s addressed a small issue immediately the 1st day of our stay at the hotel and the night desk gentleman Tiago Cordoso who should be promoted to Manager. We left on the 27th at 2:00am. a storm was raging, It was raining and windy. We called the BELL HOP Note: HIS name IS CHRISTIAN (I am mentioning his description as there may be another Christian on staff). in uniform, was bald and not wearing a hat) to take our luggage down to the Bolt transportation that was waiting. THE BELL HOP named CHRISTIAN took the bags down to the hotel door, stood there and was waiting. He opened the door for us. Christian THE BELL HOP then had to be prodded to handle our luggage to load into the waiting vehicle. Christian THE BELL HOP picked up two of our carry on suitcases and placed them in the vehicle. He picked up the 3rd which was a a large fabric duffel bag, slightly on the heavier and placed it at side of the vehicle in the rain in a puddle, rapidly turned around and rushed back to the hotel shutting the door which is self locking. My wife tried to get in but was unable to because of the self locking door. She got completely drenched from the sheets of rain. Christian disappeared and was no where in sight. My wife banged on the door and then the window and Mr. Tiago Cordoso came running and unlocked the door for her. He offered to help in anyway he could and was quite upset at Christians disservice. My wife later on the same morning 01/27 called from Munich and spoke to the Manager Mr. Duarte Pinho who has promised to investigate and to contact us via our email on file. We plan on spending a great amount of time in Porto, this coming, in the month of May. The disservice of THE BELL HOP Christian will not deter our plans to stay at the interContinental Porto Palacio Das Cardosas and we trust that Mr. Duarte Pinho the manager will contact us as promised. We were only here for two days, but we had a wonderful experience! The front desk staff were very helpful and attentive. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well maintained. I wasn’t expecting the slippers, but I was so happy to see them — I don’t like walking barefoot on hotel floors. The welcome pastries were a lovely surprise and absolutely delicious. Breakfast is highly recommended, and the staff in the dining area and at the bar were amazing — friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Overall, our stay was truly a great experience. We highly recommend staying here!

Very bad windows, no thermal and no acoustic isolation Noisy environment, not possible to rest after 7am even on weekends, due to street works that are not the responsibility of the hotel but which should be involved in the process, they just dont care. Tricky access to garage which is not owned by the hotel and impossble to drive aound the hotel due to works in place for years...
