The history of Porto, Portugal began in 400 AD, when the Romans first used the area as a port; today a blend of architecture, art and culture comes together to express the city(TM)s rich history. Narrow streets spread out from the Douro River, winding past the churches, monasteries, palaces and old manor houses that mark the city landscape. Porto is a city that breathes and lives history, but in its heart you can discover a monument to modernity at the luxurious Sheraton Porto Hotel & Spa. Step into a world where fine art, design and comfort blend beautifully. A wonder of marble, wood, steel, and glass, guests of the Sheraton will find themselves in Porto(TM)s fabulous world of shopping, museums, and nightlife.

Went for a massage and body scrub( 30 minutes…Isabella did a fantastic job however these services are over priced. It cost me 350$ Canadian for the above mentioned Canadians think twice $$$ We also ordered a soya tofu bowl and unfortunately there was absolutely no taste of soya in the tofu or salad .. very disappointed… Will not return.

Great hotel! It’s a little bit further away from the waterfront, but it’s very easy and affordable to get around — an Uber was only about €7 each time. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. Friendly staff and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Would happily stay here again!

We booked at this hotel for two night in September the room that we got was clean but the problem was the roon was cold and humid 19.0C humidity in the low 70% measured with a hydro/thermometer. The next day they gave an other room. The same thing except the humidity was at 63%. The morning on the day that we were leaving for the douro Valley. The unit in celling that cool and heat the room was dripping water. I advised the reception. We left to for the douro valley and came back for two more days. The room they gave us on the 6th floor was very cold the temperature around 19.0C and humidity at 65% i didn't complain the next day we went out and came back around 7:00 pm the temperature in the room was 18:0 C. I called the reception to advised them of the problem.we left for the dinner when we came back around 10:00 room temperature was still around 18.0C called the reception they said they will send someone, after 20 minutes nobody came to look at the problem since the next morning we had to catch our plane in the morning I called to cancel. If you are sensitive to temperature and humidity i dont recommend this hotel. Location wise it is good around 20 to 25 minutes from downtown, breakfast is over priced. Parking is around 25 euro dont remember the exact amount but if you park on the street it is free from 7:00 pm to 9:00 am we never had a problem parking on the street.

As longtime and loyal Titanium members, we were really looking forward to our stay at the Sheraton Porto Resort and Spa. Unfortunately, the experience fell well short of expectations—particularly for a property carrying the Sheraton name under the Marriott banner. To start on a positive note, the restaurant staff were consistently warm, professional, and attentive, especially during breakfast service. The breakfast buffet itself was a highlight of the stay, offering a generous spread with fresh, well-prepared food and beverage options. It’s clear that the kitchen and restaurant teams take pride in their work. We also appreciate them being able to accommodate our dietary restrictions with relative ease for which we are very grateful. However, beyond the dining area, the hotel begins to falter. One of the most surprising oversights was the complete lack of a dedicated concierge desk. For a full-service Marriott property, this is a basic amenity, especially for guests unfamiliar with the area. The front desk staff did their best, but without a concierge, detailed local guidance was hard to come by. The rooms themselves feel outdated and in need of renovation. We were given an upgraded junior suite but the water from the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor due to poor design, and mold was clearly visible on the ceiling (likely due to an inoperable exhaust fan) both issues that suggest an overall lack of maintenance. Furthermore, there are not nearly enough electrical/USB outlets in the room which was annoying to say the least. These are not the kinds of conditions one expects at a property marketed as a resort and spa. When it was brought to staff's attention, the only solution proposed was to provide us with extra bath towels which they were initially reluctant to even do at first. No attempt was made or offered to send maintenance staff to our room. Compounding the disappointment was the hotel’s failure to disclose that the Turkish bath, sauna, and steam room were all closed for renovations during our stay. This information was not communicated during booking but only after check-in, which is unacceptable for guests who may have chosen the property specifically for these amenities which we did. The Executive Lounge, touted as a premium offering, was also very underwhelming. Food and beverage options were sparse and the lounge itself lacked any real atmosphere or comfort. Staff also gave incorrect information regarding the hours for both the jacuzzi/pool and the complimentary evening happy hour—adding confusion and frustration to an already lackluster experience particularly after coming back to the hotel after a full day of sightseeing. While we appreciate the friendliness of the restaurant team and the quality of breakfast, it’s hard to justify returning to this property given the number of issues encountered. All of these issues were raised when we checked-out and we were offered a meager €40 total discount for our two night stay. Bottom line--there are other Marriott options in Porto that offer better upkeep, clearer communication, and a more reliable guest experience. For future visits to this beautiful city, we would strongly recommend considering alternative Marriott properties instead.

It looks nice till you see the second layer of this hotel. “The upgrade” for a platinum member is a standard room on a higher floor, next to the elevator. The free wine in the lounge comes from 3 euro bottles. That’s how you are rewarded for staying more than 100 night per years in their hotels. Facilities which they advertise before booking are closed for long maintenance without any prior communication. Staff smiles but cant do anything and dont understand the needs for a frequent traveler. Extremely poor solution offering. In thr room there is nothing special. Poor quality sheets and towels and cosmethics full of synthetics. I packed my bags and left right away. Not the type of place where i want to spend my time. Out of sheratons fom all over thr world, rhis has been my worst experience. Never ever again
