Secret Bay

My stay at Secret Bay in Dominica was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I arrived, the experience felt seamless, thoughtful, and completely tailored to me. The concierge service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and always a step ahead, making every part of my trip effortless. The architecture of the villas is stunning. Every detail feels intentional, blending luxury with nature in a way that creates both comfort and awe. Waking up to those breathtaking views was unforgettable, and the entire atmosphere made it the perfect off-the-grid escape I was looking for. The food was another highlight—fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of local flavor. Every meal felt like part of the experience, not just something to eat. Secret Bay exceeded every expectation. It’s rare to find a place that feels this private, this serene, and this well executed. I can’t recommend it highly enough and will absolutely return.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beauty of the property and the incredible staff who made our stay unforgettable. The beaches were spotless, peaceful, and never crowded—perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery. The food exceeded our expectations; everything was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Our villa was immaculate, comfortable, and very well equipped. A special mention goes to our house attendant, who was impeccable and incredibly attentive throughout our stay—truly outstanding service. **However, I strongly recommend skipping the on-site spa.** Four of us visited, and only one left satisfied. The rest of us walked out *tighter* than when we walked in. For a 90-minute massage costing $300 USD, I expected a high-quality experience, but instead felt like the therapist was lightly tapping me the entire time—imagine someone playing an invisible piano for an hour and a half. It was genuinely awful. We visited two other spas elsewhere in Dominica during our trip, and both offered far better skill and value at a fraction of the price. Overall, we loved the property, the staff, the food, and the accommodations—but the spa was a major disappointment. If you go, enjoy everything else this beautiful place offers… just book your massages elsewhere.

Secret Bay is a masterpiece. We have been all around the world and have never had an experience like this one. The local staff combined with the raw beauty of the island and the eco-conscious luxurious villas make this the perfect resort. The villas are incredibly private, thoughtfully designed, and well appointed. The staff are kind, helpful, and carry such pride for their island - we learned a lot from them and enjoyed our conversations with them throughout our stay. We particularly enjoyed getting to know our villa host, Ersha, and learning about the culture and island from her point of view (and her cooking lessons were amazing!) Secret Bay does a great job of celebrating the culture of Dominica throughout the resort with the artwork, nature, and food, and the variety of activities on and off the resort is so abundant that it's difficult to choose! We chose an active vacation with a combination of scuba diving, hiking, kayaking, exploring the town market, etc., but we could have just as easily never left the villa's relaxing infinity pool and would have been very content. We enjoyed the restaurant several times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - all were great experiences, and we enjoyed tasting the local produce and cooking styles. The spa was also an excellent experience that we highly recommend. We cannot wait to return to this stunning and tranquil gem in the Caribbean!

From start to finish, the immersion into the Secret Bay ethos was an exceptional experience. A place and pace where you can just 'be'.

My Husband and I went to Secret Bay for a week in October. It was perfect. Just what we needed to relax away from a busy season. The remoteness and tranquility was perfect. The private villas are great, each with their own plunge pool. We sat by the pool and pool bar for lunches and afternoon drinks. The beach is secluded and a great temperature for swimming - or go over to the secret beach which is only accessible by boat. The food was outstanding - we did the all inclusive lunches and dinners. On top of the included breakfast, we ate our way through the vacation. So much fresh seafood and tropical local fruits. The staff are so attentive, kind, and friendly. Each villa comes with a host who handles any needs you may have. We went on a great boat tour of the island with Secret Bay's captain, complete with snorkeling. It was a great way to see the island from the sea. The way Secret Bay is built into nature is awesome. Iguanas, lizards, and birds are at every turn, and the flora is unlike anything I've seen. Super grateful for the amazing trip at Secret Bay - we will cherish the memories forever.
