Beautiful classy hotel with charm and hospitality! This was a private villa at one time and remains family owned. They truly seem to care about maintaining excellence. Incredible attention to detail from start to finish. Very knowledgeable, friendly staff goes above and beyond to meet the needs of guests. Special thank you to Marco and Giusie. The location is perfect with a beautiful view. Best restaurant in Positano (Il Tridente). Be sure to make reservations if peak season as it books up in advance. Comfortable beds. Lovely lounge areas and bar. Fantastic cocktails. Live music on terrace some nights. Small but lovely pool to keep you cool in between outings. Good full breakfast buffet with plenty of options for everyone in family. We look forward to staying again next trip to the area.

Hotel is okay. Rooms are old. Location is good! Would not spend more the a. Couple days here. Below average for the other places we have stayed

I can’t express enough how wonderful this hotel is. On arrival being met by the wonderful reception staff and the concierges who insist on helping with your luggage. Our rooms were on the main road over looking the stunning view of Positano and the sea, a sight you never tire of. The rooms are immaculate and have everything you need supplied. They are cleaned every day with a turn down on an evening if needed. The breakfast is a buffet service all the food available is excellent and a lovely touch is the newspaper from the Hotel Poseidon with what’s happening that day. The restaurant staff are all very friendly and always helpful. We spent most of our time around the pool area and in the bar on an evening. The staff here are very attentive and can’t help enough with either getting drinks or moving the parasols etc and are always there to help. I was here on holiday with my sister and her husband celebrating 25 years of our business being opened and on some days I spent the day around the pool on my own but didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. The food around the pool is delicious and the lovely touches of snacks when ordering drinks and fruit kebabs in an afternoon are all what adds to the special service you receive. The cocktails on an evening over looking Positano with all its lights is just amazing you see something different every time you look at the view. Thank you to the staff for making our 25th celebration a special one and helping my sister organise a cake which we shared with the staff and to Luca and the team around the pool who made us all feel so welcome. We hope to visit this very special place again

Truly truly the best kept secret of Positano - I can’t express enough how much I loved this exquisite family run hotel - everything was sublime from the warm friendly staff to exceptional views delicious food and beautifully furnished rooms X a huge thank you again my favourite place ever ❤️

This is one of the premier hotels in Positano, located near shops and restaurants and steps from the beach/pier area. It is impeccably clean and well staffed with personnel who are more than happy to assist you. The hotel, a former well appointed villa, retains much of its historic charm, complete with a large balcony area which is the setting for its restaurant, with a breath taking view of Positano (and the food- amazing!! Including its breakfast buffet complete with omelet station!). The hotel has a bar and pool. The bathrooms have bathrobes, slippers, hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner and body soap. The rooms are large with very comfortable beds. Rooms were cleaned daily, including turn down service at night. There are many hotels from which to choose, but you cannot go wrong with Hotel Poseidon.
